Dr. Saldana and his entire staff were awesome. I had a tummy tuck at 62 years of age and it was the best thing I did for myself. I had a consultation with a different doctor who made me feel just awful, I am so glad I decided to search out a different surgeon. My surgery went well and I was up and about quickly, returning to work in 10 days! My follow up appointments were fantastic as well. I highly recommend Dr Saldana for any plastic surgeries one might be interested in.
I went to Dr. Saldana for a breast reduction and it was a wonderful experience. He was very attentive and answered all of my questions. I also had a scar revision surgery a year after the breast reduction and it was the same great experience. The staff were all very nice and made me feel very comfortable.
I have 4 kids ranging from 20 years old to 4. I breastfed for a combination of 8+ years. Prior to having kids I wore a 34G, after the last baby I nursed her for close to 3 years and I lost 25lbs after weaning her. My breasts were so deflated! I went to two consultations and I almost just went with the first because the wait for the second was weeks away. I am so glad I waited. Dr. Saldana and his staff were so amazing, kind and genuine. I knew I wanted to go with him before knowing how much he charged or how long the wait would be to schedule the procedure. He said I am a great candidate for over the muscle as I have enough breast tissue to cover the implant. Originally I went in wanting no less than 700cc, 800cc was my goal but I told him "put in as large as you can fit! You'll never hear this is too big come out of my mouth" lol The morning of the procedure he came in and drew all the fun lines on me. Told my husband "you'll need to buy her a whole new wardrobe" lol When I woke up I was told the most they could fit was 600cc mentor memory gel smooth round high profile. At first I was sad, then I got to sneak a peek of my cleavage. WOW!!! So nice! There's no space between them. I assume if he had gone any bigger I would be at risk for symmestia. I placed my trust in him and his staff and 24 hours later I can say I am so glad I did. The only pain I feel is at the incisions. I have my follow up tomorrow and hopefully I can take this bra off! Updated on 16 Feb 2017: I finally got to take off the bra and shower before my first post op appt. Even with a small flat spot on the bottom I am so incredibly happy with the results so far! They said the flat spot will fill out and even out over the next few weeks. Updated on 28 Feb 2017: Huge difference in my right breast! I love them even more already. Stitches came out today. Incisions still have some glue on them. I'm afraid to be too rough on them but I'm trying to get the loose stuff off. I was cleared for cardio but not strenuous cardio. Walking, biking, etc. Updated on 22 Mar 2017: My left breast has always been slightly bigger, well now righty is a bit bigger lol I assume this is all part of the "drop and fluff" process. It barely noticeable in person. I didn't even realize righty is slightly bigger until I took this picture last night. All in all, still the best decision ever!
I am 48 years young and have always hated my sagging neck/ chin area and after lots of research and contemplating kybella, liposuction, or a mini neck lift, I have decided to go through with a mini neck lift. My surgery is on Tuesday, May 17th and I cannot wait to finally feel good about my profile instead of always trying to hide it. Updated on 13 Jun 2016: Well it certainly it has been a struggle. I had my surgery one month ago. I had a mini neck lift and a little lipo out of my cheeks. It has been a battle. The first few days I slept a lot, not much pain, but the pain pills made me very tired the next few days the pain pills had the opposite effect on me and instead of being tired I could not sleep. I was begging to fall asleep but just could not. Therefore I had to stop the pain pills and just go with Tylenol. The I started retaining plasma under my chin and had to go in almost every other day and have it suctioned out. Now I am dealing with a lumpy wrinkly neck. My doctor has tried to assure me this will go away with time. It seems like it is taking forever to see results. I did a lot of research and knew going into this I may not come out with the perfect profile I wanted and that it would take time to heal. I have been instructed to keep massaging the area every day. I also have two small scars on the sides of my mouth from the liposuction. I go in next week for a laser treatment which should help with the scarring. I think I am so used to having that sagging neck that I cannot see much improvement at this point. It is also mentally exhausting to wake up one day and feel my neck looks great and the next more bulging and wrinkles as it heals. Oh well, I have to be patient! I have attached some pics of the process from before to three days after, to three weeks and lastly at month recovery. Updated on 13 Jun 2016: I forgot to post about Dr. Saldana. He and his nurse have been the most kind caring caregivers they can be. They have both went out of their way to see me in the office on a spur of the moment when needed. They are very encouraging and have answered my phone calls promptly when I call with questions. They are a good team. Updated on 19 Dec 2016: 7 months after my partial neck lift, there is some improvement but still very lumpy. My doctor has suggested skin tightening by heating the neck area, but after three treatment still no improvements. I hope this gets better.
I had a rhinoplasty in 1991 to straighten the nose. I remember the doctor telling me there is no such thing as a nose job. It straighten up a bit but as I aged it became more crooked from an accident. I'm not really sure when I broke it. I do have a picture and it was pretty bad looking (post op), and I remember the headache. In 2014, I seen dr. Saldana in duluth mn. He specializes in fave deformities. I think I'm in good hands. He spent a lot of time just staring at my nose, and he thinks that he can fix this. I'm so tired of only talking to people with my good side or avoiding pictures. My date is June 4th. Updated on 22 May 2014: Almost two weeks to my surgery. Just looking at that picture makes me want to do it tomorrow! Updated on 27 May 2014: I see Dr. Saldana for the last apointment before the surgery next week. He is very king and patient. I am feeling pretty good. I'm just going to jump in. He thinks that maybe that accident I had in my teens broke my cheek bone and nose. Funny, my parents brought me to the er. The left side of my body was all cut up, and no one thought to check? Anyway, I'm ready to do this. Thank you for all your positive comments. I have been hiding it from my family. They are always so negative. I'll try to post the day of. The doctor is going to break my nose and straighten it, replace cartilage on the right side and make the ends even!! So excited and scared.!! Updated on 1 Jun 2014: I have been taking pictures and showing the kids. My 6 year old said you have a problem and it's bad mom. I guess I'm looking for reasons to go through with it. I'm just so scared of the pain. I'm so scared! I'm trying to keep busy. Updated on 3 Jun 2014: Well, tomorrow's my big day. I'll keep updating on recovery. So scared! Updated on 4 Jun 2014: I'm 3 hours post. Pain is minimal. I'm not even bruised. I think it's because I started the arnica. The doctor took cartilage from both ears. I think my ears hurt more than my nose. Updated on 4 Jun 2014: I have no cartilage what so ever so he took it from my ears. My ears hurt so bad. Still no bruising. When I did this in 91, I was so bruised I could even seen. Anyway, it's not to bad. Updated on 6 Jun 2014: Today is day 3. I'm still taking the pain meds. I don't think I could have done it without them. With that said it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. My ears hurt and I'm stuffed up. When I woke up in recover I felt so much pain. After I got into regular recovery, I felt much better. The worst was the hour in recovery. I have no bruising. Odd! I'm not sure if it's the arcina or I just had an excellent surgeon. I'm not ready to make any calls on my noise. I'm going to wait until I see Dr. Saldana on Monday. Updated on 8 Jun 2014: I'm feeling pretty good. Every once in a while I get a sting in my nose and of course my ears are hurting still. The swelling has gone down a lot. My follow up apt is tomorrow. I'm off the lortab as of day four, but plan to take to before the follow up tomorrow. My nose looks a lot straighter. I think I'm going to be really tomorrow. It's almost over. Updated on 8 Jun 2014: I was going to say I'm thinking that there is a big difference between a plastic surgeon and an ent doctor. The ent doctor I had twenty years ago did a horrible job and I was so bruised (I always bruise easy) but I didn't bruise at all this time and the plastic Surgeon did an excellent job. What do you guys think? Updated on 19 Jun 2014: I'm so disappointed! It's crooked and I still look deformed. I waited two weeks to reply hoping for a change and I almost feel like it's worse than before. So disappointed. Updated on 23 Jun 2014: Everyday as the swelling goes down my nose looks straighter and straight. It's smaller and I'm starting to like it. I was so disappointed for the first two weeks. I'll post a picture tomorrow. I guess we should listen to our doctors and wait.
