It's the morning of my procedure, I had my pre-op appointment yesterday. All the reviews on here really helped me go through with this despite my fears and helped me understand what's look for in a doctor especially. I really like how professional and caring my Dr Donna Fisher is- she made sure I had no other questions and is super involved in explaining what to expect from surgery including results which I expected. I am terrified of doing it awake, but I'm doing it anyways. After breakfast this morning I'll take a Percocet, a Valium, and an anti nausea before the procedure and then will have laughing gas as well. She'll be doing "2.5" areas (my full abdomen, flanks, and then right above my waistline on my back but not up my entire bra roll area. My total cost is $7800 including garments, but that doesn't include the pot op supplies and massages I've bought. I'll include some before photos for you guys, they're not very flattering but the lighting really shows very bulge so I have a good comparison hopefully after. Updated on 16 Apr 2022: So I had my procedure Thursday, today is Saturday. Everything starting with getting to the office that morning was super straightforward and happened fairly quickly. I showed up at 8:45 and by 9:15 I was in my robe, had taken my Percocet and Valium, had my markings bad pictures taken and was on the table ready to go. I waited on the table about 15 minutes or so just breathing the nitrous gas and trying to relax. I felt very aware of everything going on, but I was relaxed. I did feel pain, but it was manageable. There were times I was having to really focus on my breathing to get through some tough areas where she said I had fibrosis from a previous traumatic Injury/surgery from an ectopic. I know when I was preparing for my surgery I searched high and low for in depth explanations of how painful the local anesthetic process would be. Just like everyone else, I’m gonna tell you that really depends on you. The numbing injections were tolerable, but stung. The actual injection of fluid was mild and the most painful part for me was the suction but again I had fibrosis. All this being said- it was tolerable and I really believe focusing on breathing really helped me. I would find myself falling asleep and drifting in and out so it’s not like ones in pain the whole time at all. Dr Fisher really did do her best to keep me comfortable. At the end The cool thing about the drugs is they kind of make you not remember how much it hurt if that makes sense? Like I would absolutely do it again assuming my results are what I’m hoping for. My first night after surgery was a breeze- I slept basically until 10pm and woke up, drained in the shower for a bit (not with it on I literally stood there dripping) put a diaper on, and went on one 15 minute walk around the block and took some Tylenol and a Valium and was back asleep until morning where I had my post op appointment and they showered me and re dressed my bandages. The pictures I’ve attached are of me the first night with my garment and the morning after surgery at my post op). My second night after surgery, last night, was pretty uncomfortable. I just had gas and hate sleeping on my back. My pain has been really low, but I have taken half a Percocet yesterday and half today and then just Tylenol other than that. I havent drained much yet, was hoping to drain a lot more. The doctors did say they were surprised how little I bruised considering how rough they had to be on my stomach and flanks. Updated on 18 Apr 2022: I’m adding pictures of me in the room where I took my pills the morning of the procedure before I got my markings, immediately after surgery, and in my garment the first night. The garment really wasn’t bad at all, in my opinion. I also notice I have very little bruising. I took these pre op heal fast pills before hand and made sure I wasn’t drinking any alcohol and I really feel like that helped a ton. I’ve been taking arnica and the post op heal fast along with Tylenol or my other meds as needed. Not sure if I should order some lipo foam or not because right now it’s just the garment. Sleeping has been getting better and I’m still very sore but not bed ridden or anything. I’ll also add another photo of me currently, I think I’m pretty swollen based off how sore I am and I’ve been moving a lot. Updated on 27 Apr 2022: Like everyone else around this time, I’m starting to notice some bumps. I first noticed them on Monday, which was day 11. They seem pretty minor and I’m trying not to worry because I’ve been looking into it a lot and seems like they resolve with continued care. My doctor called me yesterday to check in and schedule a post op one month appt which I appreciated as she told me not to worry about them, because my stomach isn’t hard or anything. She did tell me foam wasn’t necessary after surgery but everything I’ve read suggests you need to wear it to help with these bumps so I ordered some today and it will be here Friday day 15. I get my fourth MLD massage today too, which definitely help. I also ordered some cellulite oil and a couple tops for self massage, and finally got my binder in the mail.
I had a great vaser liposuction experience with Dr. Fischer at Gateway Laser in Salt lake City. Dr. Fischer was kind, considerate, and went above and beyond in explaining my procedure and what to expect. I had my arms, inner thighs, knees, flanks, abs, and bra fat done. I am 48 years old and have always been slim. I started to get a layer of fat due to hormonal and metabolism changes. I have had two babies and I have never had any procedures before. I am so happy with the results. I feel like I have my 30 year old body back. I fit in my clothes so much better. The procedure was over two days--spaced 3 days apart. I was given a valium and a painkiller for sedative and pain purposes. I was given laughing gas during the procedure. Dr. Fischer used a local anesthetic with saline before the vaser. Each procedure took about 2-3 hours. I didn't feel anything and I was very relaxed during the procedure. After, I was bandaged up and put in the compression garment. I was able to walk to the car. I mostly slept the first day. As to pain, the day after each procedure I didn't have much pain due to the lidocaine in my body. The next week was pretty rough. It hurt really bad for about 2-3 days. I went back to work on the 4th day. It was tough. After a week it started to get better and has gotten progressively better as each week has passed. After 4 weeks I don't really have any pain, but I do have numbness where the nerves are still healing. As to the compression garment, I really hated having to wear it. It was so confining and felt like I was wearing a straight jacket on my whole body. I had to buy another brand, since I needed to wear it for a while. Now I don't like to have it off--it feels like it is holding things together. I was supposed to wear it for four weeks, but I am still going to wear it for another couple of weeks. Dr. Fischer is incredibly professional. She is also very skilled at vaser. She is an artist. Her staff is incredibly nice and friendly. I am so happy I decided to do vaser lipo. I was scared to do it and it cost a lot, but it was totally worth it. I feel like I can wear a swimsuit, a tank top, and shorts again. I am very happy I chose Dr. Fischer and would recommend her to anyone who is considering having this procedure.
I can not say enough good things about Dr. Fischer! From my consultation to my end result she was extremely kind and knowledgeable. She set proper expectations and gave me the best result!!! It is better than I even thought possible. The office staff are professional and the nurses are so kind and informative. They really make you feel like their number one priority. I am so happy with my results! It is one of the best decisions I have ever made to get this procedure done and to have Dr. Fischer as my doctor.
I had liposuction performed and she was fantastic. I got great results and would recommend her to anyone. She was very detailed oriented during the surgery and after to make sure the results were what I wanted. I highly recommend you talk to her if you are looking for a treatment.
I wanted to write a recommendation letter to share the excellent patient experience I had with Dr. Fischer and her team. About three months ago, Dr. Fischer performed tumescent liposuction and she re-sculpted areas of my thighs that had been damaged over the years by sports injuries and the related surgeries. Dr. Fischer was outstanding throughout the entire process: the initial evaluation, the procedure, and the follow up care. Dr. Fischer provided objective communication on procedure benefits and cautions/warnings for patients, and she set very realistic goals as to what to expect for my outcomes. She listened to my concerns and addressed all the questions I had. The change that she created was ideal for me and I could not be happier with the results. The protocols that Gateway utilizes for pain management kept my pain level at a minimum and I had very little down time as a result. Start to finish one of the best patient experiences I have had – a very sincere thanks!
I love Botox and loved the amazing experience I had with my last injection. I was impressed by the sign that was posted in the waiting room " If you have waited more than 15 minutes for your appointment, please notify the receptionist." My appt was scheduled for 2:10 and I was back in the room within 10 minutes. Dr. Fischer was professional in every way and answered every question I had about other options available at the medspa.
I have always had very small lips, and have never been fully satisfied with my resting face. (My resting [RS bleep] face needed some work.) I finally found the courage to get lip injections. I was terrified of looking duck-like, and wanted a very natural looking enhancement. My experience was phenomenal. I went to Gateway Laser and Aesthetics Institute, and achieved the exact result I wanted. I feel even more confident now than ever before. The numbing cream put on me lips before I got the injections made the procedure entirely painless, and I took arnica (natural anti-swelling pills) to reduce any bruising or swelling and had basically NONE at all. I was out and about the very next day. My lips were only slightly more red than usual, and I did not have to use any makeup to cover anything. I am thrilled with my results. I used Juvederm Ultra- I believe she said I used about 2/3 of a syringe. She also placed 2 units of botox in the very top of my philtrum to relax the muscle.
We have had great success using Kybella combined with noninvasive skin tightening. The combination of inflammation created by the injections and radiofrequency work synergistically to improve tightening and collagen stimulation.
