As a way of paying it forward and thanking the women who have posted, here is my story for future women. I have had saline implants done by Dr. Stuart Linder for 13 years(which I loved) but have had 3 severe bouts of capsular contracture that just keeps coming back, despite multiple revisions and replacements, so the implants are coming out! No lift yet, as I want more kids first. I was a 36AA-A prior to full 36C implants with 360ccs. For reference, I am 5'9" and 150 pounds with a very broad upper body. I had the implants removed by Dr. DJ Lee at Kaiser in Los Angeles. The whole procedure took about 2 hrs as I had thick capsules on both breasts and contracture of the right breast. I have drains in now and feel pretty good for only 24 hrs out. My breasts don't look very pretty, as the nipple has puckered and inverted, but my doctor says it should take care of itself in time...fingers crossed. Here are some pics of the cc and the post-op boobies! (Note: I have a large scar on my left upper chest from a childhood burn) Updated on 3 Apr 2013: Two weeks post-op: I had the drains removed on the 6th day after surgery. It was pretty painless, just an odd feeling to have 12 inches of tube uncoiled from each breast! I immediately went home and tried on a bunch of shirts which was a huge mistake because I was SO sore and in pain the next day from overusing the muscles. I actually had to stay home from work because of the pain and soreness, so be careful. The drains were good for me because during that week I drained probably 500-750ml of liquid from each breast...that's like a bottle of wine worth of liquid from each boob! At my two week post-op appt they also drained out another 23ml from my left breast(the one with the scar) as it has been more swollen. You can tell it has more fluid in it because it's a bit fuller and perkier than the right breast. The right breast skin was also more stretched out due to the cc, and you can tell it's going to take some time to firm up. Overall, pain is getting better and I am still wearing soft bras with pads. Not super loving how they look yet, but I suppose they are slowly healing up. I tried going for a run today and the jiggling was pretty uncomfortable, so I may wait a little longer before I resume full on workouts. Also, I am a skincare fanatic, so I have been applying a firming serum called Firmalift to my breasts twice a day along with CeraVe nighttime moisturizer...It can't hurt right? Here's to fast healing! Updated on 17 Apr 2013: Quick update for the 4 week anniversary! Pain and swelling has gone down a lot, though still some soreness in the sides of my breasts about 6 inches below my armpits, when I raise my arms over my head...maybe muscle just still reattaching? Went for a couple runs with no pain, however, went bra and bathing suit shopping which was very painful! I love not having the implants, but man am I flat chested! 36A is not an easy size to find. Not to mention the stretched out skin on the tops and sides of my breasts do not look great in a bikini top, but hopefully it will tighten up by summer, eeks! Still having some nipple pulling but trying to massage as much as possible. Also still waiting on the fluff fairy, but seeing as they just keep getting smaller and smaller, I may be waiting awhile! I'm okay with it though, just happy the huge hard implants are out forever! Updated on 16 Aug 2013: Still peeking up a bit I think. I am SO happy still to have them out, no regrets at all. Not crazy about the scars, but I just started with some scar strips so we'll see how those do.
I went to PS to see about having a tummy tuck and face lift. Decided to have the face lift done first because my grandson is getting married in May and I want to be the best looking grandma there LOL. I dont like what I see in the mirror. My upper eylids cover nearly half of eyes and I look angry all of time, have some slight jowling and a good start to a turkey neck. So I am having my upper lids, brow lift, lower lids, neck lipo and lift, mid face lift done first. . My abd is about 3 inches bigger around then my hips I am so looking forward to having a flatter tummy, but that will have to wait until the fall. Updated on 14 Feb 2013: I sent an email to my boss today to let her know I have scheduled my surgery for 04/13. Just said I went to the Dr and we decided that I need to have surgery. Gave her the date of the surg. We will see what she responds. Updated on 21 Feb 2013: Well this week I have had a bought with the flu or a cold, cough, headache, stuffy head, slight fever. Glad it's not anywhere near my surg date. Would had to postpone it and would not have been happy. Trying to lose 10 lbs before surgery, but being sick I eat everything in sight LOL. Just 7 weeks away!! Updated on 27 Feb 2013: getting over this cold/flu virus going around, I have heard it hangs on a long time. Hope it goes away soon Updated on 10 Mar 2013: Still battling the cough, it's been 3 weeks and doesn't seem to want to go away. I will go to the Dr tomorrow and get it checked out. Otherwise doing ok, just over a month until my surgery time is going by fast. Will be here before I know it. Updated on 18 Mar 2013: Finally went to the Dr to get my cough checked out. She said she couldn't hear breath sounds very well when I tried to take a deep breath. Gave me antibiotics and nebulizer treatments. Doing much better now. My boss approved my time off and hubby took 2 weeks off. only just over 2 1/2 weeks till surg. Updated on 25 Mar 2013: Still having the cough, but a bit better every day. Still tryong to lose somght before surgery. I ecided that instead of trying to get an hour of exercise in 3 days a week, I can do 30 min a day. I think it won't feel so overwhelming as the thought of an hour. Updated on 2 Apr 2013: My surgery is just 10 days from tomorrow, boy is time going by fast. My PS called today and rescheduled my pre op appt from 930 am to 1030 am, that is much better for us since we will miss a lot of the rush hour traffic on a Monday morning. I keep pulling the extra skin back on my face to see what I hope to look like after surgery. It's keeping me motivated, and keeps me from wanting to call and cancel my surgery. Updated on 5 Apr 2013: Just one week from tomorrow!!! can't believe it's almost here. Getting nervous now, anxious, excited. Having doubts sometimes, just like almost everyone else who has gone through this. My Pre op is Monday, I will have a list of questions to ask, prob still think of something afterwards, LOL, Updated on 8 Apr 2013: I had my preop appt today, got all my tests done and spoke to the anesthesiologist. Wrote the check to pay for it (that was hard to do LOL) He answered all my questions and what I should and shouldn't do after surgery. Got my prescriptions filled, will go to pick up a few things tomorrow. Think I am as ready as I will ever be. Updated on 16 Apr 2013: Thanks for all your comments and expressions of concern. My 5 hour precedure ended up taking 7, then I had a lot of trouble waking up, Very sick to my stomach afterward. I went back to see Dr Lee on Monday, he was very pleased with his "handywork" LOL. He said I was fine, breathing without any trouble and they did wake me up but couldn't stay awake He said "you don't drink at all do you?" I was the only surg they had that day, They thought they would have a short day, but I showed them LOL. Finally left the hospital at about 530pm. Pain isn't bad, I stopped the pain pills on Sunday and am using ibuprofen. Putting ointment on my eyelids and wearing my chin support. Bruising is resolving with Arnica. And of course lots of naps. Hubby has been great being my Nurse, giving me the antibiotics and creams, getting food etc. Dr Lee told him no cooking or any housework for awhile. I go back again on Monday to get some of the stitches out. Looking forward to that!!! I am happy with what I see so far. Able to take a shower last night and gently wash my hair. That was GREAT!!!! Updated on 19 Apr 2013: Ok today is post op day 6, going to post some updated pics. I am feeling pretty good, only problem is my blurry vision from the swelling of my eyelids. Still sleeping in my recliner every night. Dr said I could sleep flat now if I wanted to, I tried to go to sleep in our bed a couple days ago. but when there was pressure on the staples behind my ears it hurt and I couldnt find a comfortable position, soooooo came back to the recliner. He is supposed to take the staples and sutures out on Monday, (9 days post op) so I will be able to go back to bed again. Updated on 22 Apr 2013: Thank you both so much for your compliments. I did have the staples out today, still having the blurry vision, he said that can last 2 or 3 weeks and is due to the swelling around the tear ducts etc. He was not happy with some swelling that was causing mywer right eyelid to droop a bit, has me lifting it up and puitting on steri strips to encourage it to "relax" in proper alignment when the swelling goes down. I thought it was doing fine, look like it was relaxing back to normal to me, but he is cautious. I go back in 3 weeks for him to recheck it, he said if I don't feel like going back to work he will give me another week off, hummmmm that is tempting, LOL. My numbness is getting better. He wants mme to massage the areas around my eyes and under my chin several times a day to promote better scar results. Here are day 10 pics, Updated on 28 Apr 2013: I am soo happy with my results. My left eye is much better, will stop taping it tomorrow I think. Vison still blurry, but better, got some eye drops for dry eyes, seems to hwlp a lot. I am posting more pics, going to get really brave and post the pics right beforrg and right after as well as the ones taken today, really can see the improvement. ;:-) Updated on 30 Apr 2013: LOL, can ya tell that I am not seeing well with all the spelling errors. :;-0 Updated on 3 May 2013: Updated pics, 3 weeks post op. I don't notice the differance until I look at the previous weeks pics. Looks like my swelling is going down a bit. Vision is getting better, still blurry but improving. Left eye still a bit droppy, but still swollen too. Updated on 9 May 2013: Went back to work today, lots of good feedback, some commented that they liked my new hairstyle LOL (same hairstyle I have had for 2 yrs) Posting a pic from today. Need to learn to put makeup on again, it's been a long time since I have worn anything but a little mascara and lipstick. Updated on 18 May 2013: I am so happy with my results. I feel so much more confident about myself. I also find that it seems people are reacting more positively toward me, which may be the result of how I feel now. Absolutely no regrets or second thoughts. Still have some swelling at 5 weeks post op, and my left eyelid still has some minisule drooping. At my last post op visit Dr Lee said to continue to tape it when I'm not working. I also spoke to the surgery coordinator and told her to put me on the calendar for my tummy tuck in Sept or October. I am looking forward to that too, ;:-). Granndsons wedding is a week from today. I got the flowers done now making a dress to wear, (combining 2 different patterns) . Just couldn't find anything I liked. I hope it turns out as I envision it LOL. I will post some pics after the wedding. Updated on 25 May 2013: I got my wish, I was the best looking grandma at the wedding LOL, Posting a picture of my in the dress I made for the wedding, this was taken after we got home. Updated on 2 Jun 2013: I am posting some pics of the scars in front of my ears. You can hrdly see them, and if you didn't know they were surg scars you would t think they were natural creases. Updated on 14 Jun 2013: I will be 9 weeks post op tomorrow. I have gotten so many compliments on my results. My hairdresser said she tells all her clients that she has a client (me) who has had the best face lift she has ever seen, and today I was walking down the hall at the hospital when one of the nurses I have known for yearsd "Susan, you are beautiful, you look the same as you did 20 yrs ago" I told her about why I look the same, and she was so excited for me. Posting pic from today. Updated on 15 Jun 2013: Ear scars are nearly invisible now Updated on 30 Jun 2013: It feels so good to get compliments, even from people I don't know. I saw a pt today in the hosp who is a member of a local performing dance group for "senior ladies" I told her I think would like to be involved in that, she said, "you aren't old enough, you have to be 50 or older to be a member" lol. Made my day. Updated on 8 Jul 2013: I saw the Cornea specialist today, she said my eye was looking better, still has a ways to go, but from my prospective it is at least 80% better. I asked if I may end up with permanent scarring from this, she said prob not, but I may have a "footprint from it that will be easily corrected with new glasses. Said to wait another month or two before I got for new lenses, just to make sure everything has settled down. Otherwise everthing is going well, posting a new pic, no makeup, hair a mess, (day off lol) just taken a few min ago. Updated on 12 Jul 2013: This is what my scars look like now, basically invisible. The one on my chin has a couple of areas that are still a bit red, but when they fade that scar will be invisible too. Updated on 19 Jul 2013: Vision in my right eye is 99.9% better now, almost back to normal. I am so relieved, it's been 14 weeks tomorrow. Still having some numbness in my cheeks but that is slowly improving. I am scheduled for my TT on Aug 31. and have started a review in the TT section too. Updated on 24 Jul 2013: My vision is now at 20/30 in the right eye. It was so bad I couldn't see the biggest letters on the chart, even my glasses on. 2 weeks ago it was 20/60. He said it will get better over the next few weeks. I guess I will have some permanent dry eye from the damage the viral infection did, but at least I have my vison back, can always use artificial tears. Updated on 8 Aug 2013: I went to my ps today for pre op for TT. I asked if there was anything he could do to tighten my neck a little more. Maybe take a pinch more skin out when he is doing my TT. He said that the skin is not the problem, it is the muscle underneath that is still too lax and causing the skin to stretch out. I asked him how much more that would cost. He thought about what approach would be the best. He said he would have to go in under my chin with a larger incision and cut the muscle to get a better definition. He will re drape the skin in the area and that will make my neck and jowls better. Then he said he would not charge for it, he said it is a "scar revision" ;:-) I am adding a couple of pics to show what my concern was. Updated on 15 Aug 2013: Went to the dentist for a cleaning yesterday. The dental assistant asked if I was pregnant befor taking xrays. I said noooo. he replied "well a lot of ladies in their 40s are having babies, so we have to ask". LOL I just said not me, thought about telling him my oldest son is 42, but let it slide, let him think I was in my 40s. Updated on 22 Aug 2013: Only nine days (8 days 15hrs and 30min) until I go in for my TT and have the neck revision. I am anxious and nervous. A little worried, afraid to do more "work" in case it turns out worse then it is now. although I have complete faith in my doctor. Updated on 5 Sep 2013: Here are some pics I took today of my neck revision. I think it looks pretty good still have some swelling and bruising, but not too bad. this is post op day 5 Updated on 19 Sep 2013: Here are a couple of pics of my revision I took yesterday. I still have a little saggy area, but also still have a lot of swelling and the scar still has to flatten out, then maybe it will get better. I am still wearing my chin strap most of the time. Updated on 4 Oct 2013: Thought I would post a couple of post revision pics, Still having some saggyness under my chin, but also have some swollen "lumps" under the skin in those areas, so I am thinking when the swelling goes down, it will improve more. Updated on 25 Mar 2014: It's hard to believe that a year has passed sine I had my face lift. and 7 months since my chin revision. Thought I would post some updated pics. Be forwarned, no make up. LOL Updated on 1 Apr 2014: Heres a couple pics with a little makeup on this time. I still have some saggy skin under my chin but it's only 7 months since the revision and there are some small "lumps" under that area. That is getting better as time passes too. Updated on 17 Nov 2014: This pic was taken at about a year and a half post op from my facelift. I think I look pretty good for 65 Updated on 10 Sep 2016: It's been almost 3-1/2 yrs since my facelift. Some have asked for updated pics. Here are a couple pics taken while I was on vacation last week. No makeup, just me.
I remember being so flat as a young girl that my mom bought me a t-shirt that said "I belong to the itty bitty [RS bleep] committee". Tenth grade rolled around and I blossomed. I've had large boobs ever since. I've always loved to be active in sports and outdoor activities but have had to settle for being less involved than I'd like to be. My posture is poor and I have major indentions in my shoulders from my bra straps. My back and my neck are always in pain. Enough is enough and thankfully, my insurance is covering my BR! Tomorrow is the big day and I'm filled with excitement and optimism. I look forward to getting the weight off my chest and starting a new chapter in my life! Updated on 29 May 2015: Updated on 1 Jun 2015: Day 3 post-op and I'm feeling good. My new size feels perfect! Instant relief. I've been sleeping a lot and eating healthy foods. Drinking lots of water is extremely healthy. I have been using a camelback for my water which has made it super easy to stay hydrated. Started to take walks without using too much strain. Transitioning from the pain pills to Advil as I am not feeling a lot of pain. Drinking some Milk of Magnesia has helped me stay regular while taking the pain pills. I feel like the healing is going very well. I will post more picts later. Updated on 5 Jun 2015: 4 days PO i had an emergency situation. An artery began to leak and leaked fast. My right breast was filling up with blood. We called 911 and went to the nearest ER. In surgery they drained 800 cc of blood. I had to have a transfusion. The doctor acted quickly enough to save the nipple:) It was scary and a very rare instance. I stayed the night in the hospital to keep an eye on my vitals. I still have a drain in. I feel very fortunate that everything turned out all right AND my boobs look and feel great. There are risks in every surgery. I was lucky to have my good friend by my side. Remember to take it easy and to rest. Will post photos soon. xo Updated on 9 Jun 2015: 11 days PO and feeling great. Got my drain out which was painless. I did, however, take my pain medication before the doctor took my drain out. Pretty itchy but healing nicely. I take about an hour walk in the morning, do some very light and small chores, eat lunch then rest the rest of the day. When dinner comes around I try to socialize with friends and family to keep the spirits high. Will go into work this upcoming Monday. After Friday, all restrictions will be off. Boobs look and feel amazing!
I have wanted a TT for YEARS. Have had this flesh apron since my second son was born, and he will be 39 in July. Went to the PS last November to talk to him about a TT and face lift, decided to have the face lift first because my grandson is getting married May 25th. I had the face lift on April 13th and am very happy with the results. (see my Face lift review). I have now told the surgery scheduler to put me oe calendar for September, can't wait, I know it will go by fast. I am feeling so good about myself since the facelift, TT will only make it better. Having the same PS, Dr Dong Joon Lee at Kaiser West LA hospital in Los Angeles do the surgery. It is a long drive from our home, but hubby likes results too and we both have confidence in him. When I get brave enough I will post some pics. Right now I am 5'2" and weigh about 155lbs, have started an exercise program to lose weight and tighten my abs, Dr Lee said the better shape the abs are in at the time of surgery, the better the results. Updated on 28 May 2013: I measured myself a couple of weeks ago before I started making the dress for my gr sons wedding. I was waist 36", abd 46", hip 43", measured again this ab and now waist is 34.5", abd 43", hip 41 1/2." Tightening those muscles up and feeling stronger after each workout. Updated on 11 Jun 2013: I am soooo looking forward to my surgery Speteer seems so far away at times. I know I will feel so much better about my body. I feel so much more confident after my face lift, this will be the icing on the cake, so to speak. Don't care if my tummy is totally flat, just that I get rid of my apron. Updated on 8 Jul 2013: I was talking to my hubby today about taking some before pics. I don't want anyting that shows too much skin.I will ask him to take pics tonight. I am posting pic of me in the dress I wore to grandsons wedding, if you look close, you can see my bumpy belly. Told him that after surgery, he will see a body no one has laid eyes on in 39 years, LOL. Updated on 9 Jul 2013: Here are some pics my hubby took today, I look even worse then I thought I did. Hate the way I look now. Thes pics also make it look like I don't have any boobs, but I think it is the bra I was wearing, no support. LOL Updated on 10 Jul 2013: I'm getting anxious waiting for the call with the exact date of my TT surg. I decided toit until the 15th and if I haven't heard from her I would call. But decided to leave her a message tonight and ask her to call me tomorrow with an update. Will post whn I get my date. Updated on 12 Jul 2013: Got the call today, surgery date is Aug 31. I am so anxious and nervous now. Would be on this site 24/7 from now on if I could be LOL Updated on 16 Jul 2013: My pre op appt is scheuduled for Aug 8th, that is only 3 weeks away!!! My surg is scheduled for 3 ws after that!!! Of course having some second thoughts, but I am sure I will go through with it. Only have told 2 of my co workers, one is a real cheerleader for me (she had a breast reconstruction using her abd fat and muscles) The other one I know will not discuss my personal business with anyone. Updated on 25 Jul 2013: My pre op appt is 2 weeks from today. Surg is 5 weeks from Saturday. Still don't know if my boss will let me have it off, but have plans "B" and "C" if I need to go that far. Updated on 26 Jul 2013: My union rep emailed my boss and told her per contract language, I had fufilled my requirement to get a replacement and that a per diem is allowed to cover for me, He told her to let me have it off. Will be meeting with her next week, so will see what she says then. I still have to find someone to trade with sI can get the day of my preop off. Updated on 1 Aug 2013: I am only 4 weeks away from my surg, go for my pre op a week from thursday. Excited but nervous. Taking some extra time off so I will be prepared. Updated on 7 Aug 2013: Well tomorrow is my pre op appt, will get all the bld work, ekg, and any other tests that may be needed done. And the most painful part, will have to write the check for the procedure LOL Updated on 8 Aug 2013: I went for my pre op today. Worst part was when I wrote the check. LOL. He is a perfectionist and when I asked about the remnants of my turkey neck, He decided he needed to do a little more work on my neck and jowl area. The best part is that he will not be charging for that at all. Got my prescriptions filled, don't need blood work since I hust had it done about a week ago. No need for ekg since I had one of those in April. Got most all of my supplies. I think I am as ready as I will ever be. ;:-) Updated on 9 Aug 2013: I am obsessing about my surg, can't seem to think about anything else. Dr said he will be doing lipo from just under my bustline and around to my sides. Said if I wanted lipoon my back it would be extra charges. but he did not think I would need it after he gets everthing "rearranged". He is going to elevate my mons area and a little lipo there too. A "side effect" will be that I will get a little lift and smoothing of my tush and thighs, not much but a little which is ok with me. Updated on 9 Aug 2013: Only 3 weeks from tomorrow ;-) Updated on 20 Aug 2013: Only 10 days left before my TT. anxious, nervous, excited. Going to post a couple more before pics of my view when sitting down Updated on 26 Aug 2013: Just 4 days until my TT, Trying to keep busy. Got my house decluttered. Housekeeper comes tomorrow. I think I have all my supplies lined up. Can't wait to be on the flat side Updated on 29 Aug 2013: Only about 35 hours until "T" time. Getting a little freaked out now. My "what if's" are kicking in, what if I don't look any different, what if I don't get the results I hope for, what if, what if, what if. I have confidence in my Dr, but i know there is only so much he can do. And I have been eating everything in sight lately, I know I have gained weight and can't help thinking this will adversly affect my results. Updated on 29 Aug 2013: Here is a pic I did a little photo shop magic to. Hoping I get at least this good of results. Updated on 2 Sep 2013: I am now 2 days post op. Doing better today, pain is more tolerable. Had a lot of nausea after surgery, figured out it was from the pain pump he put in. I keep it clamped now unless the pain gets really bad, then just open it for a little while until the pain subsides. Taking my Norco, and seems to be ok at controlling the pain. I get up several times a day to the bathroom and back. I went to bed at 8 last night and didn't get up until 730 this morning and that was mainly because my drain came open and messed up the sheets. Hubby put them in the wash this morning. Still getting quite a bit of drainage, but only day 2 so need to give it more time. I will post pics in a few days, go in for my post op appt on wednsday. Updated on 3 Sep 2013: I am feeling quite a bit better today. Have been out of bed since about 7am and it's almost 1pm now. Took a sponge bath this morning and looked under my binder. My scar is real low, looks good. Took a couple of duclox this morning to try to get things "moving". Only had to take one norco so far today for pain. Not much else new, less drainage each day. around 25-30 cc each time hubby empties it. Will have hubby take some pics tomorrow before my shower and post them. Updated on 5 Sep 2013: Ok here are a few after pics in my CG. Hope they are not too dark. Still bent over and have some swelling. Today is PO day 5 Updated on 7 Sep 2013: Going to post some pics of my results so far. Still have a lot of swelling of course, but I would be happy with even if it didn't get any better then it is right now. Updated on 9 Sep 2013: BB post op day 9 taken rright after my shower. So much better compared to day 7 pic. Stitches all pretty much dissolved, less redness Belly with less swelling too but didn't take pic. I was able to shower to zip up my compression garment without help today. Getting better every day now Updated on 11 Sep 2013: Went for my second follow up appt today and he took both of my tubes out. Such relief, they were really starting to hurt and itch. Will try to post more pics afterr my shower in the morning. Updated on 12 Sep 2013: Posting the pics I took this morning, Looking pretty good I think Updated on 14 Sep 2013: Here are the newest pics at two weeks post op. I will be more then happy if the rest of my scar heals as well as the left side has already. Still have swellling and the bulge on the left side, but for two weeks I think it all looks good Updated on 21 Sep 2013: Here are my updated 3 week pics. Healing well, areas of my scar are nearly invisable. Updated on 27 Sep 2013: here are my latest pics, at 4 weeks post op. Scar on left side fading very nicely. I'm not bruised, just shadows make it look that way. Updated on 3 Oct 2013: I went shopping today, had to, my pants were falling off me LOL. Prior to surgery I was a size 12-14, today I bought size 8 pants!!!! Wow that is at just short of 5 weeks post op. Updated on 10 Oct 2013: I will be 6 weeks on Saturday so I thought i would post a few pics.I really can't see much difference from my 4 week pics. Updated on 12 Oct 2013: My swelling is better today, my tummy is flatter so I feel like I have made some progress. Will try to get some pics later and post them. Updated on 25 Oct 2013: I didn't post pics at 7 weeks because I thought there wasnt much change. But will go ahead and post some from 8 weeks Updated on 28 Nov 2013: Here are my latest pics taken at 12 weeks post op. Updated on 21 Dec 2013: Updated pics at 16 weeks. Updated on 18 Feb 2014: I have an appt on March 14th to talk to my PS about the roll of fat on my left side, the dog ear on the right side and my off center belly button. Dont know what it will take to get it all fixed. I am most concerned about the roll. I can live with the off center BB. I know the dog ear is an easy fix though. Updated on 14 Mar 2014: Went to my PS today to see what he can do about the roll on the left ride and the dog ear on the right, also asked about the belly button off center. he said he could make it larger and "move it" a bit if it bothered me that much. But it really doesn't, so decided tol leave it alone. Anyway, I have an appt on April 10th for the scar revision on my sides, as in office procedures. He said he could do more on the left if I wanted, but would mean going back to the or and additional hospital charges (he would not charge any fees, but the hospital would) . I decided for the inoffice procedure. I do not want to be put under anesthesia again for anything. Updated on 25 Mar 2014: I was 7 months post op on March 21, missed taking 6 month pics. I am having a revision for the roll on the left side and the dog ear on the rt side on april 10th Updated on 9 Apr 2014: I go in for my office procedure revision. Will update pics when I get the chance Updated on 10 Apr 2014: Had my revision today. I think it looks better, even with the bandages on. Have to leave them on for 48 hrs then can take a shower and redress them. He put a lot of lidocaine in but I still felt "jabs and burning" with some of the cutting and suturing. He was good and stopped immediately and added more lidocaine. He was singing along with a Eagles CD during the procedure. I said boy I get a revision and a concert at the same time, he replied yes, but the concert is a bonus, it isn't covered by your co pay. LOL. He also took out quite a bit more tissue then I had expected, about a 3x5 inch section on the left, and 2x3 on the right. I felt the skin being pulled tighter too. So I am looking forward to taking the bandages off. He said I don't have to wear my compression garment, but it will help with the swelling so I will probably go ahead and wear it for at least the first week or two. Tried to post pics but having trouble with my photo program finding the ones I just took. Updated on 11 Apr 2014: trying to post pics again today will see if it works Updated on 15 May 2014: Here are some pics one month post op. Still have some swelling on the left but I am very pleased with the results so far Updated on 1 Sep 2014: It's been one year since my TT. My weight fluctuates between 155-160. I was 167 before surgery. Having a lot of stress right now so wieght is around 158. Doing well otherwise. My scar is fading nicely. The scars on my sides are only 4 months post revision, looking pretty good at this point.
