Denise was very helpful and careful when it came to my treatment—I got an upper blepharoplasty and ptosis correction, and she was very careful during the operation and set clear guidelines and expectations pre-treatment. I especially appreciate the post-treatment check-ups, which she was very careful on checking the healing progress well into the future.

I’ve always had eyelids with folds that looked prominent but weren’t very strong. I didn’t want a drastic change, just something natural that still looked like me. After way too many late-night research sessions (and briefly convincing myself I needed to fly to Asia), I found Dr. Wong. What stood out was how natural her patients looked—no “done” look, no surprises. The fact that she’s double board-certified and from San Francisco, coming back after her training, made me feel like I’d found the hometown expert I didn’t know I was looking for. Every day as the swelling goes down, I catch myself in the mirror and think, “Oh…this is going to look really good.” Dr. Wong and the whole WAVE SF team have been fantastic, and I’m so glad I trusted her with my face.

Dr. Wong demonstrated attentive and excellent care throughout the whole process of my procedure. Dr. Wong is very detail-oriented and thorough. All my questions were answered and options were explained fully before moving forward with my upper blepharoplasty and ptosis correction. Initially, I was concerned because I have never had any facial surgery before and I didn't want to look drastically different. However, Dr. Wong worked with me and focused on my main concerns, which were symmetry and creating a crease that fit naturally with the shape of my eyes. The scars were strategically placed. Most people do not notice them unless I point them out. The healing has been a gradual process for me but very well worth it. The discomfort was mild and improved with each passing day. Within a little over two weeks, I was back to work and doing light activities. I am enjoying the refreshed look of my eyes now that I am two months post-op and people tell me that they cannot even tell that I had surgery----which is exactly what I was hoping to hear. For anyone considering eyelid surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Wong.

Before choosing Dr. Wong I spent around a year looking for cosmetic surgeons who specialized in eyelid surgery. After looking over reviews and results of the surgeons in the Bay Area, I felt comfortable with Wave and Dr. Wong's results—and after looking at the results I can confidently say they were the right choice! What made me gravitate towards Wave and Dr. Wong was their results and the final look of their patients looking natural, Nothing was overdone. At my first consultation with Dr. Wong, she answered all of my concerns, went over the timeline of recovery, what I should be doing during my recovery, and what toe expect after. She was attentive to all of my concerns, never gave me unreasonable results, and the part that was most important—made sure that the results will fit my facial symmetry. I included a photo of how my lower eyelids looked after the procedure. I was trying to find a before photo of myself where you can see the my lower eyelids but I sadly wasn't able to find any. Truthfully, I never really liked taking pictures of myself since my bags were genetic and present since I was younger. after the procedure I feel more confident of how my eyes look as I don't look as gaunt. During the recovery process Dr. Wong made sure to check in frequently and see how my recovery was going. A lot of the swelling and bruising cleared up after a week, a month into the recovery process I was able to return back to the gym, and after three months I was given the okay to return back to normal—most skincare was included back to my rotation and working out as usual. I was very satisfied with my experience with Dr. Wong and the team at Wave.

I couldn't be happier with my decision to get double eyelid surgery. Dr. Wong is an incredible surgeon! Her patience and attention to detail are unmatched. My recovery was smooth, and any discomfort/pain I felt disappeared after just five days. Once the sutures were removed, none of my co-workers could even tell I had the surgery. I found Dr Wong by online research as I began to seriously consider double eyelid surgery this year. I don’t believe we need to go to Asia/ Korea for this procedure as there must be a local doctor who can perform this procedure competently and expertly. That person is Dr Wong. My eye shapes were completely uneven, one eyelid is heavier, the other one has more loose skin. Eyelid tape never work on me. For years I rely on makeup and faux lashes before I leave the house. Dr Wong figured out how to open up my eyes and make them as symmetrical as possible. This demonstrates skill, experience and expertise. She performed what I consider as miracle work. Dr Wong took the time to properly conduct consultation, pre op, post op… etc. She was very meticulous and detail oriented. Dr Wong took all necessary steps to ensure my eyes heal well. She is a perfectionist and very trustworthy. The wave team provides detail instructions for post op care and is always available to address questions and concerns post ops. I am grateful for this procedure as it completely changed my life. Now I feel like my natural self, no longer self conscious when I look in peoples eyes. This is an amazing gift that positively improves my life. I strongly recommend anyone considering this surgery to see Dr Wong.

I'm a nearly couple months post op from an upper blepharoplasty and can't recommend Dr. Wong enough, she's a great doctor and a talented surgeon. Over the past couple years I've experienced heaviness and drooping of my eyelids, one more than the other causing asymmetry. It made me look and feel tried constantly. It was important to me to find a surgeon who specialized in eyelids and Dr. Wong's Real Self profile was impressive. Happy to report, it's an accurate representation of her skills. Dr. Wong is smart, kind, and attentive. I appreciate how much time she spends with me in pre and post op appointments. It's clear that she wants me to have all information, answer all questions, and ultimately cares about my overall health and wants me to have the best possible outcomes. In the operating room she's all you could ask for in a surgeon; calm, confident, incredibly meticulous. I was impressed with amount of time she spent marking me ahead of surgery. She really treats this as both a science and an art and takes her time to achieve the best results. The whole Wave team has been lovely to work with, All staff have been helpful and professional. They made this all so easy! My only regret is not seeing Dr. Wong sooner.

I did a lot of research for my asian eyelid surgery before I chose Dr. Wong and her team. I live in Arizona so I had to travel to SF for the surgery and post opt but it was so worth it. She is so sweet. Not only she answer all my questions during our initial consultation and make me feel very comfortable but she alway ask about my little sister that went with me to my first appointment during my check up appointments. She has a great bedside manner yall. On the date of operation, she is so meticulous when marking my eyelids before operation I thought that was the surgery.. it was an hour long.. seriously, I felt so freaki g happy when my doctor is that meticulous since this is my face. Her years of experience definitely show because the incision is so freaking perfect, I'm totally shook. I tell everyone after my surgery that she is not only a plastic surgeon but a freaking ARTIST. Honestly, this was the best investment I have ever made. I wish I found her 10 years ago and get surgery with her to fix my ptosis. If you are thinking of getting anything done, definitely have a consultation with Dr. Wong, you won't regret it. Updated on 8 May 2024: The picture shows my current eyes. This is about 3 months post surgery. The swelling went down a lot. My eye looks incredible and very natural. I don't have to wear a lot of eyeliners and feel much more confident.
