Wonderful experience all the way around. If I could give 10 stars I would. I had a facial surgical procedure with beautiful natural-looking results. The outcome was exactly what I wanted and totally natural-looking. As well as being extremely happing with my procedure, the entire experience with the staff and all of my office visits were outstanding. Dr. Davis really took a great deal of time with me to understand exactly what I wanted to achieve. He seems to really care about his patients. I am extremely happy with the entire experience. I highly recommend him.
Dr. Davis is the BEST plastic surgeon in the medical game. I wouldn't have trusted anyone (and would never trust anyone else) with my face. He has it all; he is the king of bed side manners, he is genuine in his intent to better your desired aesthetic, and he is simply one of my favorite people. I chose Dr. Davis because of his raving reviews, and because upon meeting him during my consultation he made me feel comfortable, and 100% confident in his ability to fix my nose from both an aesthetic AND (most importantly) functional perspective. Not only has Dr. Davis's rhinoplasty functionally fixed my deviated septum (90% corroded on one side and 75% corroded on the other), my nose hump is gone and I love my nose (which is something I never thought I'd say). Davis’ staff was just as welcoming and kind as he was, but honestly there is no competing with his level of energy, genuine kindness, and familial vibe. I am almost one year out from my rhinoplasty surgery, and I can confidently say that my nose is functionally superior (I don't know how I was able to breathe at all before), and again, I love my nose as a point of beauty on my face now. I recommend Dr. Davis and his team 10000000000 bajillion%, because he is 100% worth every penny. I was stress free knowing my face was in his capable hands, and I am eager to see how my nose continues to come into its permanent shape as the swelling continues to diminish (it can take up to two years).
If you’re looking for a primary or revision rhinoplasty surgeon with excellent skill, phenomenal before and after care, and most importantly, delivers amazing results, you can stop your search. Had a revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Davis 9 weeks ago and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. The surgery and recovery was a breeze and my nose is perfect in every way. Dr. Davis created a computer image of what my nose would look like after surgery and that’s exactly what I got. I didn’t realize how bad my first rhinoplasty was until Dr. Davis created the nose I should have had to start with. Bottom line is this. It may cost you a little more and you may have to travel, but this is your face and you don’t want to go cheap or trust your face to just anyone. There’s a reason Dr. Davis has 5 stars on every possible online review. He knows what he’s doing and he will give you exceptional results.
Dr. Davis performed rhinoplasty on me June 2019. Dr. Davis was extremely knowledgeable and provided me with a complete understanding of the procedure and what to expect with the healing time as well the day of experience. Dr. Davis made me feel very comfortable and his comical character helped me to relax the day of my surgery and was further enjoyed at the visits following the procedure. He is everything you could want in a doctor. His compassionate and kind attitude continued to be appreciated up until my last follow up with him. I found his staff to be as delightful as he was to experience, and i loved the results of my microneedling treatment by his esthetician .
I had an ethnic rhinoplasty completed on 06/29 with Dr. Davis. He and his team have been nothing short of amazing both prior to, during, and after the surgery. Even with my cast on I can tell that he followed my instructions of being aggressive with the changes while still preserving my ethnic features. I'll come back to post follow-up reviews and pictures within a week. Updated on 1 Jul 2020: Updated on 2 Jul 2020: The first couple of days after surgery were horrible. As indicated, you feel super uncomfortable due to the pressure of the splints and packing. I also had ear cartilage harvested from my right ear so that has also contributed to my lack of comfort. I haven’t taken the pain medication since day 1-2 post-op. Instead, I’ve focused on the medical supplements and other medications that were prescribed. I still have residual bleeding and have continued to place gauze under my nose. I look forward to finally having the cast removed to see the big reveal. It’s definitely exciting and nerve-wracking. Updated on 3 Jul 2020: Dr. Davis has been extremely responsive during this time. I’ve called him several times after-hours since the procedures and he has responded almost immediately every single time to address any questions/concerns I have. Indeed, the first night of surgery as promised he contacted me to see how I was recovering post surgery. My splint ended up falling off today with me adjusting the tape and I was able to get a glimpse of my new nose. While jarring at first (I really do look like an Avatar), I am already well pleased by the significant changes that have been made and the changes that are yet to come. As all have mentioned, I know that I have to give my nose time to heal. Thus far, I have absolutely no regrets with my decision in having Dr. Davis as my surgeon. Updated on 4 Jul 2020: I’m posting before and after side profiles. Again, my cast is officially coming off on Monday. The after pic is from before I replaced the cast ~3-4 days post-op. I’ll have better before/after pics after the cast is officially removed. Updated on 6 Jul 2020: I officially have my cast removed today. The nerves are no longer there given that I have an indication of how my nose looks; however, I am still am super excited to officially have it and the splints removed. I’ve gone through a host of emotions since seeing my new nose. While I see my nose’s potential, it is still super swollen (including the tip) and I worry about if I’ll be in the small group of people whose nose does not significantly reduce over time. I know that this recovery process is a game of patience so this experience will definitely be a journey. I’ll be sure to take pics right after the official cast removal and two weeks from now and update around that time. Updated on 6 Jul 2020: Updated on 14 Jul 2020: I had my nose taped for a week after removing my cast. The removal of the tape occurred yesterday. Dr. Davis significantly reduced the width of my nose which was an original concern of mine. Still, seeing my new nose has been really weird. There is such a significant difference in my appearance. As I mentioned in my last post, my nose, and particularly my tip, is significantly swollen. I know from previous RealSelf post, though, that the tip is the last area to reduce swelling. Ughh!!! I’ll have moments where I’m happy with the potential and other moments where I think what the heck did I do. Overall, I’m excited about where I’m at and how I see my nose potentially looking in the future. I have to keep reminding myself of this. It also helps that Dr. Davis has answered all of my questions and has gone over specific ways that he can address these issues should these concerns remain in the future. I’ll update this review in a couple of weeks with pictures. Updated on 14 Jul 2020: Comparison pics including a pic from right after my tape was removed. Updated on 20 Jul 2020: Here I am 3 weeks post surgery. The tip of my nose is extremely swollen and hard. Still, I am super excited with the difference in my nose thus far. TMI - My nose gets extremely dry during the night. Prior to bed, I do a saline spray and cleanse my stitching with hydrogen peroxide before using Polysporin over the area. I wake up with extreme crust inside of my nose that can be both frightening to see and satisfying to remove. I have another follow up with Dr. Davis in another week to check on my progress. I have tons of questions for him.
I spent months searching for the right surgeon, the minute I met Dr.Davis I knew I had found the right one. He’s very kind, honest and made me feel extremely comfortable about putting such a delicate matter in his hands. My results from rhinoplasty are exactly what I was hoping for and I couldn’t be happier! The facility he operates in is in the same building and the staff were extremely kind and really helped calm my nerves. I recommend Dr. Davis to EVERYONE
Dr. Davis is the *only* surgeon I will ever let touch my face. I came here for a Rhinoplasty, and I'm the kind of girl who does her research, for a good year or so before I can finally decide (especially a decision as big as this). I reviewed his awards & credentials, all of his reviews, all of the reviews/awards/credentials of other plastic surgeons in the state, and his talent was unmatched. I remember feeling so lucky that I was in Tampa and didn't have to travel too far to find an elite surgeon. I surely thought I'd have to go to LA/NY/Miami. Once I finally went in for a consultation, I was immediately sure it was the right decision. First of all he's beyond down the earth and easy to talk to (every single person in this office is the same way). He showed me exactly what he was going to do and why with computer simulated before and afters. Fast forward to surgery day, I was nervous as it was my first surgery ever (on my face of all places) but again, was warmly welcomed by an amazing staff. Dr. Davis and I chatted one more time about what we had previously discussed that I wanted and then I rolled in and out in what felt like 5 minutes (I think it was about an hour..) and boom, done. I hear all recoveries are different, but I recovered lightning fast, barely had any bruises, it all honestly felt too easy for something so serious. The waiting game is the only hard part in this journey, truly! It can take up to 1 year for the swelling to be 100% gone. It's now been a year and a half and I'm so incredibly happy with the results. I couldn't have dreamt up a better outcome. Dr. Davis is hands down the best facial plastic surgeon in Florida. His talent is top notch and he genuinely cares about you and your story. You'll feel it as soon as you meet him and his team! I've also been back several times for facials, skincare products, etc and have had great experiences again and again.
Dr. Davis is a true professional. I had papules and flesh colored moles that Ive had since I was in high school and I always hated them. I went to dermatologists but they either didnt really suggest anything or wanted to cut them out which would require stitches. Dr. Davis is an expert in facial procedures and since he is a plastic surgeon too he cares about the outcome for your face. He removed them without stitches and gave me great after care instructions. They all healed up amazing and its been over a year since then and i love how it all turned out. I wanted to leave a great review because of how professional and down to earth he is. He wont steer you to something, he listens and gives back honest feedback. I’ve wanted to get a rhinoplasty for years and I am saving up to do it. I just recently moved out of Tampa but I have decided to come back to have it done with Dr. Davis because I was so impressed
I have never had a better experience with a Doctor! Dr Davis is so caring and informative. He was available 24/7 for all of my questions and concerns! I can not commend him more from start to finish, his care for me was excellent! My results were better than promised.
After hours of research, went with Dr. Dean because of his experience, credentials, virtually all positive reviews, and his specialty for only dealing with the neck up. From the initial consultation to the post-op follow-ups, everything was spot on. I knew what I wanted but was purposely vague in expressing my expectations to see what he would suggest. Everything he recommended aligned with what I had concerns with and he thoroughly answered my list of questions. After careful consideration and moving money around I decided to go for it. For someone with a history of anxiety and thinking of the worst-case scenario, my confidence in the doc during the day of the surgery was high enough to actually keep me calm and looking forward to going under the knife. I didn't expect to remain so optimistic, but I had peace of mind even until the general anesthesia kicked in. Looking back, the only part that sucked was the side effects from the anesthesia after gradually waking up. For me it didn't feel like a sudden time-jump as some people might describe it; it genuinely felt more like a nap. During recovery, my down-time felt like a cake walk compared to a lot of the stories I have read about. No complications, no real worries, hardly any pain (used maybe two pills for it), almost no numbness in either areas, kept full function of face, and virtually no bruising except a very slight yellowing under the eyes. Their office kept in touch with me quite often to make sure I was doing ok. Literally the worst part was fighting boredom while stuck inside and not being able to shower. I stuck to a soft diet for a few days until I felt ready to actually chew. Chewing felt very weird for about 2 months because I can feel the muscle moving over the chin implant. That feeling has pretty much subsided by now. Currently I still don't like shaving over the implant incision area simply because it still feels bizarre as some numbness lingers a little bit. There are several follow-ups to check on things and make sure parts are healing the way they should. Staff has always been great. Rescheduling has always been easy (which I did too often). There's not much more to say other than the result is what I predicted. Only thing that remains is the nose tip still has a long ways to go before getting down to size. (Disregard any complexion issues in the images, those are unrelated to this).
Fat grafting is a common additional procedure done with facial rejuvenation surgery to help improve facial volume and contour after a lift. Unfortunately, the longevity of the fat or the viability of the fat can be widely variable among patients. How well the fat graft takes may be impacted by how the fat was grafted or transferred as well. Once the fat grafts are placed and heal in, they usually don't grow or get more full. If you are within a couple of months from your surgery, you still have a ways to go to fully recover. Your surgeon should be able to guide you through this process. Remember that you will always have more options to restore youthful volume to your face to work towards the goals you have. Good luck with your recovery and hope you're feeling your best soon.
Your desires to improve your nose appearance and your concerns about surgery are all understandable. The details you mentioned (bringing the nose closer to your face, smoothing down the bump, refining the tip with less volume, and improving the internal nasal airway) are all goals for you to consider. Resolving post nasal drainage or allergy issues is best treated medically, but a nicely done complete rhinoplasty should make sure the airway and breathing is optimized. It is normal to be concerned about less than excellent outcomes with any surgery, but that's where your careful interview process in finding the surgeon that's best for you comes in. As you look for a surgeon to help get your ideal nose, make sure you talk to them about your fears as well as your goals. They should be able to help give you an idea of what outcome is realistic. Make sure all of your questions are addressed. Write down a list of concerns to have ready so you don't forget any of them. From the two photos you posted, you appear to be an excellent candidate for a rhinoplasty. Do your due diligence in finding an excellent surgeon, be prepared for surgery recovery to heal well, and work towards your goal of a nice looking and nicely working nose that fits your face.
