Ethnic Rhinoplasty with Dr. Davis

3 Weeks Post Op

Everybody Nose
Here I am 3 weeks post surgery. The tip of my nose is extremely swollen and hard. Still, I am super excited with the difference in my nose thus far.
TMI - My nose gets extremely dry during the night. Prior to bed, I do a saline spray and cleanse my stitching with hydrogen peroxide before using Polysporin over the area. I wake up with extreme crust inside of my nose that can be both frightening to see and satisfying to remove.
I have another follow up with Dr. Davis in another week to check on my progress. I have tons of questions for him.

Hi, thanks so much for updating. I can see the improvements!

What's happened post-surgery that weren't expecting? (Perhaps things that most people who discuss rhinoplasty don't talk about)

Why did you pick Dr. Davis and what other doctors were you considering?

It looks so so goooood! The best thing is that the change is so subtle and yet there is such a difference! It's really refined, I love it!

Tape Off

Everybody Nose
I had my nose taped for a week after removing my cast. The removal of the tape occurred yesterday.
Dr. Davis significantly reduced the width of my nose which was an original concern of mine. Still, seeing my new nose has been really weird. There is such a significant difference in my appearance. As I mentioned in my last post, my nose, and particularly my tip, is significantly swollen. I know from previous RealSelf post, though, that the tip is the last area to reduce swelling. Ughh!!!
I’ll have moments where I’m happy with the potential and other moments where I think what the heck did I do. Overall, I’m excited about where I’m at and how I see my nose potentially looking in the future. I have to keep reminding myself of this. It also helps that Dr. Davis has answered all of my questions and has gone over specific ways that he can address these issues should these concerns remain in the future.
I’ll update this review in a couple of weeks with pictures.
