I am 5 weeks out from my surgery date and it feels a bit surreal. I've always been thin and unhappy with my small breasts. I really only liked the size when I was pregnant and nursing, which left them even smaller and deflated. The real motivator is my stomach. I injured my back in my early 20's and two pregnancies left me very prone to more injuries. I've put in hours of PT for my back and pelvic floor (which did help), but I still have a diastasis recti and a hernia, which can't be sufficiently fixed without the muscle repair. I'm 40, done having children, working out, and ready to feel like a whole person again (and reward myself with some new curves)! Not looking for big boobs - I don't want to completely transform my appearance. I just want to feel great in a bathing suit, tank top, dressing up, etc. I'm scheduled for a full tuck w/ hernia and muscle repair, and am thinking about 200-300 cc's under the muscle. Updated on 23 Mar 2021: Before pics Updated on 23 Mar 2021: I think this woman looks perfect. I’d be ecstatic with her boobs, definitely no bigger. Updated on 26 Apr 2021: My surgery is tomorrow and I’m having serious cold feet. It will be incredible to feel confident about my body...no matter how good of shape I’m in, this baby pooch isn’t going away. And I’m hoping that the muscle repair will alleviate some of the back pain associated with my unstable core. And I’ve never felt feminine or particularly attractive in a bathing suit and spend a lot of time on the beach so I will be really nice filling out a bikini top. But with all that I’m nervous, feeling guilty and really anxious that I’m actually going to do this!!! My husband says he can handle he kids during my recovery, but not sure he realizes what it will be like when I am completely unhelpful, and feeling so selfish for opting in to this! Updated on 27 Apr 2021: The staff was amazing and I’m in recovery. I’m happy I decided to spend h night I don’t have o worry about kids and hav puppet if pain does kick in (none yet!). Will post pics ASAP (haven’t even looked in a mirror yet)! Updated on 28 Apr 2021: Everything about the surgery went as well as i could have hoped ! I had a good feeling about Dr. Guenther from my first consult, and all of his staff is fantastic. The nurses, anesthesiologist and administrative staff made me so comfortable.I was super nervous the day before surgery and totally relaxed by the time I went into the OR. Dr. Guenther gives you he option of using Exparel, and I highly recommend this! Still pain free on day 2! I opted to stay overnight, and the night nurse was great. I slept comfortably for most of the night with her adjusting my bed, bringing meds snacks and water when needed. I still haven’t taken off my compression garment, but I did look at my tummy tuck scar placement and am thrilled at how low he was able to make it. Can’t recommend him enough! Pics coming tomorrow! Updated on 29 Apr 2021: Definitely very swollen, but feeling good! Updated on 1 May 2021: Feeling pretty good! Really no pain to speak of and slept well last night. My swelling is starting to go down a bit but bruising is way worse, between my boobs and below my tt scar. Looking like the bride of Frankenstein. I’m trying not to get impatient or bummed about the recovery (would love to fast forward 6 weeks to normal) as my husband takes the kids off for their sports today. I’m going to focus on the next milestone- getting the drain out Monday- and binge watch a new show. Updated on 2 May 2021: Today I definitely felt like I turned the corner. Still laying low, but more energy and no pain. I took a slow walk outside, which did wipe me out a bit, but the fresh air was nice. My belly is tight, and I’m still standing hunched forward, but it’s improving. The swelling in my stomach has gone down significantly; it’s really from belly button down now. My boobs are still high and tight, but significantly less than day 1 and 2. I was originally freaked out that I’d gone too big (despite reviews warning me that the swelling is significant at the beginning), but I’m now really excited. The bruising is improving as well, though still pretty rough looking. I am hopeful that I’ve chosen the right size - nothing too dramatic in most clothes, but way better in bathing suits and dresses. I’m excited to get the drain out tomorrow! Updated on 3 May 2021: I went for my post op today, an was pretty bummed that I can’t get the drain out quite yet. Going back in 3 days. On the plus side, bruising and swelling are down, I’ standing straighter (not quite straight), and my boobs are looking lovely. Still quite stiff and swollen, and I’d be ok with them shrinking a bit (doc says no to bra shop until 3 weeks when he swelling is mostly gone), but I am loving the shape! Updated on 10 May 2021: Updated on 11 May 2021: 2 weeks post op and thrilled! I finally got the drain out, so feel much more normal. Dr. Guenther was great about checking in daily on the fluid levels and even offered to remove it over the weekend when my numbers were low enough. The bruising and swelling is mostly gone except for under my belly button. I’m so happy with the size of my boobs. No one I’ll notice a dramatic difference in work clothes, but I feel incredible in a bathing suit. For those with upcoming surgery, I strongly recommend not to focusing on results in week 1-2, and only focus on your recovery. My boobs felt enormous, tummy was swollen from the bra line down, and the bruising and scarring looks a bit scary. Now I’m in the fun phase of seeing results refine and improve. I got back on the peloton today for an easy ride, which felt awesome. I’m excited to start the silicon sheets on the scars this week. Updated on 11 May 2021:
After an in-depth consultation, I gave consideration to having the Potenza microneedling procedure done. The day of the procedure I arrived an hour early to have a facial numbing cream applied. All the office staff are caring and professional. The procedure room is comfortable and relaxing and I felt very safe and well taken care of. My first procedure was about 45 minutes long and very tolerable. I was frequently asked how I was doing and if I needed a break. Truly, all was fine and I had no reason to have them stop. My second procedure was about six weeks later. Again I had the numbing cream applied and after a forty five minute wait time I was brought into the procedure room for my treatment. This time my treatment was somewhat uncomfortable and a few times we did take a quick break for me to relax for a minute. I was asked if I needed the procedure to end, but as uncomfortable as it was at times, it was still tolerable and YES I will do it again! Have I noticed a difference in what I hoped could be corrected? YES again! It is well worth it!
I visited Dr. Dax Guenther’s office for three Potenza (micro-needling) treatments, each spaced one month apart. Haley Stevens, his certified assistant, performed all three treatments. She was gentle, knowledgable, and very professional, answering all my questions and demonstrating her proficiency and experience performing the treatment. The results are fabulous: 1. Dark spots on my check have disappeared. 2. Dark circles and puffy eyes are greatly diminished to the point that I don’t have to wear under eye concealer. 3. The lower part of my face has visibly tightened with less wrinkles. I highly recommend this treatment AND this office! The atmosphere was clean, organized, and very professional. I felt right at ease. The pain, on a scale of 1-10, was about a 2 —very manageable! I am hoping to return for more treatments in the near future. I can’t wait!
Haley and the staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about the procedure. Being my first treatment they explained everything and did a great job !! Looking forward to my next treatment. Would definitely recommend.
I had seen many doctors on this app before seeing Dax, I personally felt that he was the best choice of doctor for this procedure. Had small deflated post baby breasts before opted to do 440cc Sientra Gummy under the muscle with a lift on the One side through the nipple. The 'after' picture was taken 4 weeks after surgery. Recovery has Been really smooth.
I could not recommend Dr. Dax and his team more strongly. I did my homework, researching and consulting with several plastic surgeons in New England, and I have zero regrets choosing Dr. Dax over all of the others. My friend recommended him after he did her breast augmentation, and I immediately knew I made the right choice after leaving the consultation. Dr. Dax is an absolute ARTIST! ...and a perfectionist, and professional, and calm. He's basically everything you'd want in a surgeon who is going to perform a very important operation on you. Emily, who is the beautiful woman at the front desk, was always so patient and understanding with my many post-op phone calls (typical me, worrying about nothing). I just had my final post-op appointment with Dr. Dax, and he has been such a positive part of my life these past few months that I feel a little bummed that I won't be needing to see him anymore. However, if I choose to have any further operations, I will 100% be going to Dr. Dax. He is the ONLY person I trust to be honest, caring, and MAN does he deliver. If you're considering Coastal Plastic Surgery, I strongly urge you to choose this place.
I had an abdominoplasty with liposuction with Dr. Guenther last November. This is something I have wanted to do for a very long time as I had weight loss surgery 8.5 years ago and had a lot of extra skin. Dr. Guenther was extremely professional during the whole process. His work is impeccable. He also if very caring. He personally called to check in on me after my surgery and is genuinely happy for my outcome. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Guenther and his staff. If this is something you've been contemplating and are on the fence, do it and do it with Dr. Guenther, you will not regret it, I certainly don't!
Dr Dax Guenther recently conducted breast reduction surgery for me. This has been a life-long goal of mine. First and foremost due to back problems and truly the humiliation of having a small body frame and having a bra size of 34DD and basically pouring out of the bra. Over a 7 year period of severe back pain, insurance denied the surgery, they recommend I go to a chiropractor and had other failed suggestions Finally I decided at 60 years old to go on the internet and find a surgeon and do this on my own. I found a local doctor Dr. Dax Guenther I read his bio and credentials and met with him for a consultation. His personality was humble, kind and very caring, he listened intently to me and reviewed the process of the surgery. He also took measurements and came back in the room in a very short period of time with a virtual goggle that allowed me to look at my body as if I had the surgery. Simply amazing and I found it to be exactly how my body looks post -surgery. This ensured the reduction was the amount I wanted. He also, provided an option to conduct the surgery in his office or in south shore hospital. I chose his office. Which was the most amazing process, I was the focus of the full team; doctor, nurses, anesthesiologist. There were no other patients in the office. I met with the anesthesiologist, I explained I get nauseous when going under and he assured me he would take care of me and not allow it to happen. He was so kind, caring and explained everything in a clear caring manner. The Dr Dax Guenther provided me his cell phone number and strongly encouraged me to call him immediately with any concerns or issues. He stated he wanted to know of anything that was going on with me and assured me any time of night at all he would be there for anything I needed. Simply Amazing!! The staff was so kind and knowledgeable, provided a packet of information that I referred to and it was spot on with the recovery! AND Emily, she will do whatever it takes to me feel comfortable, to the extent of offering an ipad with music and other entertainment to set a calming relaxing atmosphere. She is simply amazing! After my long winded story, I had my first follow up appointment with Dr Dax Guenther and I just couldn’t wait to see him, this man changed my life! My back and shoulders are 100% better, I can actually stand up straight and I can see my toes! The kindness, the caring approach to make me feel better about myself and relieve the pain I was in was such an amazing experience that words cannot describe how he changed my life for the better. The Team is just as amazing too, words cannot express the experience and how I truly appreciated their caring ways. If you are ever considering this surgery go for it!! I wish I did this 30 years ago. I had to write my experience, Dr Dax and his Team well exceeded my expectation and I just had to share this amazing experience with others, Also, as a way to express my sincere appreciation for all they did for me, Thank You SO VERY much!!
Does not work. I literally cringe every time I think of spending 3600 on this procedure. Not a single dimple is gone. Maybe Slight improvement on one dimple on the buttocks, but not even close to worth the money. I think most reviews that show good results are either a) different lighting or b) taken 48-72 hours after the procedure when swelling mimics results. Surgeon and staff that performed procedure were very professional and kind and I would definitely recommend them, but not cellfina! If you do proceed, do use a plastic surgeon-- this was an invasive medical procedure.
So a while back I decided to try cool sculpting to help give me a better profile. My whole life I've been concerned about my weak chin and was too chicken to really pull the trigger on permanent change. My first meeting with Dr. Guenther can be found in my other review, where I decided to take a baby step with cool sculpting, and then do more in the future if I decided it wasn't enough. Well, I finally decided that I wanted something more substantial. I had another consult with Dr.Dax on Sept 5, where we took new "before" pics and went over my options for "after." Their office uses Crisalix, which gives you a really great idea of what you can expect with your procedure. We agreed on an appropriate size and shaped implant (silicone) and he gave me the option of lipo. Since I was going to be paying the money and dealing with recovery already, I decided to go for the full package and get both. My biggest concern with all this was recovery time. I scheduled the procedure for October 1, with a vacation booked for October 19. I was assured I should be in perfect condition by then (as long as there were no weird complications) but as a fairly young, healthy patient, my recovery time should be along the lines of 3-5 days! I was a tad skeptical, but very excited, so I jumped in. The day of the procedure I was barely nervous, I was just excited for this new chapter of my life to begin. I met with the nurse first, then the anesthesiologist, then Dr. Guenther himself. They all asked their questions, let me know what the process would be, and made me feel extremely comfortable. I was put under with general anesthesia and the doctor placed the implant through my mouth and did the lipo from tiny incisions behind my ears, so there is no visible scaring! When I got home from the procedure on day 1, I thought I would be able to eat some scrambled eggs (was told no “solid foods” due to mouth stitches) but it was much harder than expected. The whole bottom half of my mouth was numb, the food kept falling into my lip, and it was awkward opening my mouth that much. I ended up managing some applesauce, mashed potatoes, and mashed butternut squash much easier. Day 2 was kind of more of the same, the swelling was pretty intense and things felt very sensitive, but I don’t think I would ever use the word “pain” (but I did keep up on the pain meds for the first 24hrs). But after 24hrs I stopped the every 4hr pain meds and only took the Tylenol for minor discomfort and swelling relief. After that, with each day, I noticed a decrease in swelling and increase in feeling, but I still feared it would take a long time for the swelling to really go down. But by day 4 or 5 I was feeling MUCH better about the results already! I have been capable of eating my more “solid” type foods (risotto, soft chicken, gnocchi), and the picture results are making me very happy for the full final result! I was told the swelling and refining of everything could take as much as a year to fully take shape. But if I keep progressing every day, I can’t imagine I’ll be anything less than thrilled in the next 12 months. Today my lower lip is still a bit numb, so talking sounds a little funny, and there’s a little bruising, but I really couldn’t be happier! Excited to see how it keeps progressing, and starting my NEW life with my new face!! Updated on 7 Oct 2019: Went to my 1 week post op appt today and the doctor was very happy with my progress, as am I! He took some photos to track the swelling progress, and said these aren't my official "Afters" yet. Will go back in 5 weeks and again in a year! All visits (including consult and pre op appt) are included in the cost of the procedure. The before photo they used is also pre cool sculpt, but it's a pretty amazing difference! The small dark spot is the only real bruising I still have, hopefully it'll be gone soon! Updated on 7 Oct 2019: Left to right Progress is original before (2017), then recent before (2 years post cool sculpt- 3 treatments), first after (1 week post op- chin Implant and neck lipo) so you can get an idea what each thing did for me! Updated on 15 Dec 2019: A couple photos from the last couple months of recovery! Initial recovery was super easy, even easier than I hoped, and the look continues to refine slightly as time goes by. Very happy with my results.
