Mr Roberts is an exceptional surgeon and doctor, an expert in his field who travels around the world to lecture on rhinoplasty and ENT surgery. You couldn’t be in better hands. He seems to genuinely care about his patients, is humble and easy to talk to. He took great pains to put me at ease, explaining in precise detail what the procedure would entail and ensuring I felt confident about the process. The result was absolute perfection and beyond anything I could have hoped for. It has been life changing. The procedure was faultless from admission to after care with fantastic follow up from both Hayley and Mr Roberts. I couldn’t recommend him more highly.
I cannot thank Dr Roberts and his office manager Hayley enough for making my (12 year awaited) rhinoplasty the best experience ever!! From my first consultation, Dr Roberts was honest and informative. He told me the best results for me and how we would achieve them. He didn't give me a cinderella story (which I have received from other surgeons during consulation!) and I knew exactly what to expect with my take home before and after pictures. On the run up to my surgery I could book in as many 'chats' as I wanted with Dr Roberts, even for what seemed the silliest of questions - he calmed me down and filled me with confidence. Get to game day and the surgery goes swimmingly! So much so, I'm allowed home the same day! Hayley beforehand, had suggested I buy a travel pillow and such a brilliant tip I have to say. Makes all the difference when you're trying sleep sitting up. After a week and a half of discomfort with my cast (trying to be honest, it's not the nicest feeling) and dying to see my new nose, I went back into London to get the cast taken off and cleaned up. Well - I cried like a baby. Honestly over the moon happy. Better than I ever could have expected. If you're looking at taking the plunge, and after 12 years of umming and ahhing, research and consulations, I get it's scary - You want to book in with Dr David Roberts. He honestly is, the best in the business and I would recommend until the cows come home.
As soon as I first met Mr Roberts I knew I could trust him and I can’t tell you how happy I am that I did. Mr Roberts performed rhinoplasty on me and when he removed the cast there was still a bump on my nose. The last thing I wanted was another operation however Mr Roberts reassured me that with an injection the bump would reduce in size. It took two injections to reduce the bump, I am amazed at the results. It has changed my life, I used to cut myself out of photos and now I don’t have to. I can highly recommend Mr Roberts.
My experience with Doctor Roberts has been nothing but positive and I honestly can’t thank him enough. The introduction was made to Doctors Roberts via a family member who had previous surgery with him. I was told he came with an excellent reputation and this showed from my first consultation. Like others I was instantly put at ease by him and he listened to my concerns, as well as giving excellent advice. The computer imaging available at the consultation is really helpful and he was able to explain the changes and explain the possible outcomes of the surgery. He was also completely honest in terms of his ability to perform the changes and was open about how he operates as a surgeon. I would highly recommend David Roberts, utterly amazing in terms of his abilities as a surgeon as well as being a such a lovely person that supported me every step of the way. I am extremely happy with my results and I would highly recommend his services.
Kind, compassionate and extremely talented surgeon. I instantly warmed to Mr Roberts in my first rhinoplasty consultation, trusting him from the start. He listened carefully to my concerns and achieved more than I’d hoped for as an end result. He put me at ease on the day of surgery by explaining what he was going to do and came to check in after the surgery. Every consultation/post-op consultation has been thorough and a pleasant experience. I honestly don’t think I could’ve chosen a better surgeon, I’m so pleased with the result and the process was without fault. Deciding to have a rhinoplasty is a big decision, which could’ve been scary/stressful but it was the total opposite and that was entirely due to Mr Roberts, the hospital staff, and the staff at the Harley Street Nose Clinic.
I had a rhinoplasty on the 12th of June 2019 with Mr Roberts. When I first met him at the consultation I immediately knew he was the perfect person to trust having this surgery with just simply because he was very honest with me and made me feel extremely comfortable. The consultation required computer imaging and once that was complete we were talking about the changes that will be made and what Mr Roberts believed would suit my face. On the day of the surgery Mr Roberts came into my room to explain again what will be happening and told me I will be okay and comforted me majorly. The recovery was quick and painless with only a bit of bruising. It has now been slightly over three months of having my rhinoplasty and I can honestly say Mr Roberts' magical hands have changed my life! Although it takes 1 year to fully recover I am happy with the way it looks right now at this early stage, I can't imagine how amazing it will look in a year. I appreciate Mr Robert's work of keeping my nose looking at natural as it can be, my closest friends and family didn't realise I had a rhinoplasty because of how natural it looks. Mr Roberts thank you so much for all of your work and support (and Hayley)! Definitely worth it.
I had rhinoplasty 14 years ago but was never happy with the end result, ie, next to no difference. I had a lump on the bridge of my nose that had been removed but the bone was left bumpy and uneven. After years of suffering in silence I decided to go ahead and have further surgery. I couldn’t have made a better decision. David Roberts is at the top of his game. Kind, caring, understanding and knowledgeable. I expressed my concerns to him, including my severe lack of confidence, and he listened to everything I said. He took several photos and showed me, through diagnostic images, what he could possibly achieve, no guarantees. He far surpassed my expectations. I was very emotional at the ‘big reveal’. He has literally changed my life - no more shying away from the camera or hiding at the back of being conscious of my profile in every situation. I cannot recommend Mr Roberts enough. If you have doubts just go and speak to him. You won’t be disappointed. I must also mention the lovely Hayley, his secretary. They are a great team. Hayley was so helpful and accommodating. I kept changing my mind and she was very patient.
I recently underwent a procedure with Mr Roberts, and was delighted with both the process and the outcome. Mr Roberts was recommended to me by several friends who similarly had a fantastic experience, and I have since directed my friends in his direction. The reviews I have read below really do not fit with what I experienced at all so I wanted to leave a review here to encourage people considering rhinoplasty to trust him; he is excellent. I would be happy for him to share before and after pics to those debating having surgery. The initial consultation was very reassuring. Mr Roberts is very warm and kind, and no pressure was applied. I felt that he very quickly understood what bothered me, and comprehensively explained the subtle amendments he would recommend in my case. I was given lots of time to ask questions, and (unlike I have previously with other surgery) did not feel rushed through. He modelled out his vision on a computer image in order to ensure we had the same expectations. He did NOT prey on insecurities and did not suggest any changes which I hadn't initiated. I felt that he fully explained the risks. The process itself (at King Edward VI hospital) was the easiest surgery I have had. I felt no pain at all, and upon waking I did not feel drowsy or off-colour (I had a closed procedure, and my nose was not broken). The nurse who was there as I came round told me that Mr Roberts’s patients rarely bruise - and I didn’t at all. I wore a cast for a week, and when this was off there was a little swelling, but this was not noticeable. Given the terrifying rhinoplasty youtube videos, I had reconciled myself with the idea that I would have two black eyes - but these never materialised! I was able to go out as normal as soon as the cast was off, and resumed exercise almost immediately too. Sleeping propped up, and having to wear a cast for a week, were the only inconveniences. I have subsequently been to two routine post-surgery check ups and we are both very happy with the outcome. At every point throughout the process he has been accessible and given me ample time. I feel very well taken care of by Mr Roberts, the anaesthetist, and the team at King Edward VI. The end result is exactly as I had wanted; very natural - I don’t look at all ‘done’. I would recommend him without hesitation: My downtime was minimal due to his gentle approach and skill, and he has given me a result that really suits my face. Please do feel free to ask qs. I hope that this is helpful. I am British, female, 30 years old, had a closed procedure, and my nose was not broken.
I don't normally leave reviews but this surgery was so important to me that after reading some bad reviews about Mr David Roberts, I needed to share my experience. Without going in to too much detail, my nose had been previously broken (accidental) leaving a nasty bump and all bent to the left. My septum was also severely damaged. A previous surgeon had told me that my nose couldn't be straightened without a strong septum, which broke my heart given my septum could not be repaired as such. As a result, I spent 3 years of my life being insecure, nose-obsessed and generally hateful about the appearance of my nose. I refused to be in photos and couldn't date anyone during this time for lack of confidence. Mr David Roberts came highly recommended and upon meeting him, I instantly felt at ease. He asked what I wanted to achieve and gave me realistic expectations. He did not go in with a hard sell tactic, but gladly answered any questions I had. He told me to go away and think about it but I shortly after booked in for surgery, which was on May 1st 2019. Surgery was as explained and recovery was as explained. I'm quite a low maintenance individual, but all the support was available at the hospital and through Mr Roberts' clinic, should I have needed it. His Secretary is also lovely and extremely helpful. I returned one week later to have the cast removed and Mr Roberts asked me if I had been okay thus far etc, again, putting me at ease. The cast was removed and I nearly cried with tears of joy when he passed me the mirror. I think I tried to hug him as I was so grateful already by this point, with what he has achieved for me! He explained which areas needed extra care by me (massaging to help circulation / saline solution to rinse inside). Given this wasn't a straightforward job, the results were outstanding. Yes I still have some bruising and swelling, but this is to be expected with this surgery. This man has improved the quality of my life with the surgery he has performed, and I don't say that lightly. I am astounded to read negative comments about his lack of explanations / care - surely anyone considering this surgery would have done a great deal of research, considering all the pros and cons, not jump in head first without being sure? I agree that having this procedure is a huge decision to make, and shouldn't be rushed or taken lightly BUT that is what all the consultations are for. If there is anyone out there just half as unhappy as I was, I would urge you with confidence to meet with Mr David Roberts. I would be happy to share before/after photos for anyone considering this surgery with him.
my nose was broken in 2000, I never thought I would have the guts to have my nose fixed. I now many people that have had nose surgery and after seeing them I was terrified, but desperate to take photos with my children. I found Dr Roberts researched and had 1 consultation. I can't express how happy I am, I have had the best experience with my surgery I could breath eat and sleep straight away hardly any bruising just some swelling on day 3. it's the best thing I have ever done I would hight recommend him to anyone after care is amazing to.
