MediZen is amazing! I came to MediZen as I read Tatler which recommended Dr David Eccleston and the team as the go to clinic in Birmingham. The team at MediZen were amazing, they made me feel immediately at ease. The clinic is easy to find and the girls there are brilliant - they put me at ease right away and I am thrilled with my new look! I highly recommend MediZen and have been telling all my friends about them!! 5 stars!
I went to see Dr.Eccleston after a recommendation from a friend. I've always wanted to have my lips enhanced but was scared of the 'trout pout' look. After seeing some of Dr.Eccleston's work, I thought he would be a good fit for me as he opts for the more natural result. Dr.Eccleston was friendly and funny which made me relax, he answered all of my questions and I felt confident in going ahead with the treatment. It was slightly uncomfortable but Dr.Eccleston was very good at talking me through the pain and it was over before I knew it! Since having the treatment I have so much more confidence, my lips look enhanced but natural which is exactly what I wanted. I am now due to go back for a consultation for some fillers in my cheeks and have complete faith that they will look as good as my lips. I would strongly recommend Dr.Eccleston, he has years of experience and a wonderful bedside manner, I can't wait to go back!
He injected 500 units of Hyaluronidase into my lips to correct filler which had gone wrong. Since having the Hyaluronidase I have lost volume in my face and a lot of tissue around my eyes and my mouth. I never had hollows under my eyes, now I have very noticeable hollows and dark circles, and can no longer where eyeliner due to my eyelids dropping. I look like I have aged years in a matter of weeks. My pores are now more pronounced, a little scar I had on my cheek is more noticeable, and my face is starting to droop. I am mortified! My family, friends and colleagues have also commented on the difference in my face, it is very noticeable. After doing some research it seems way too much Hyaluronidase was used. He should of started off with a small amount, not injected 500 units. When I went to see him about this he wasn’t helpful at all. We both looked at the pictures from before and after and the difference was obvious, I looked like I’d aged years. He may as well of stood there telling me black was white. He will not except responsibility for what he has done to my face. He instead asked for be to do research and show him evidence this can happen (which the evidence is there in front of him) and then send him the links. I’m hoping it doesn’t get any worse. I cry almost every morning when I have to look in the mirror to put my makeup, I’ve lost all my confidence and now feel high anxiety at work. I can feel myself slipping into depression. I will be seeing him again in a few weeks and if he doesn’t acknowledge the damage he has done to my face and at least try to rectify some of it I will seek legal advise. I will not let this lie. I can not go on the way I am now, and allow him to do this to others. I wanted to give zero star rating, even a minius. Certainly not 1 star. Updated on 19 Jul 2018: It’s been almost three months now since I had the Hyaluronidase and there still isn’t any improvement. I have lines around my nose and mouth which weren’t there before, my face has slightly drooped and my eyes still look terrible. I look years older. If anything it seems to be getting worse. I can feel myself sinking into depression, I can’t help but cry when I think about it or when I look in the mirror. I am having to take myself off to the toilets sometimes at work when I feel my tears welling. With that said, I still will not allow this to beat me. I’m not entirely sure on where I’m going to go from here, I’m considering maybe fat transfer to bring my eyes back to how they were before. I still haven’t decided yet. What I do know, is that I want my face back to how it was a few months ago before all of this. I just want to add, before this I hadn’t had any filler in my eye area or anywhere else on my face, the only filler I’d had was the 1ml in my lips which, regretfully, I had Hyalurondase to remove. If I’d known of the risks or the incompetence of the ‘Docter’ I would of waited for it to dissolve naturally. Anyone considering Hyaluronidasde, think very seriously and do plenty of research before making any decisions. Filler should go on its own, the damage of Hyaluonidase could last a lifetime. Updated on 25 Jul 2018: It has been over three months now since the Hyaluronidase was injected. As you can see by the photo there still isn’t any improvement. Just over three months ago I had no undereye hollows and I could see my lids. Not anymore. Hyaluronidase DOES damage your own tissue. In my case 500 units was used when the recommended dose is 3-75 units. If you find a good cosmetic doctor you may be okay. Do your research and think very carefully before making any decisions. Updated on 29 Jul 2018: Updated on 10 Feb 2019: As you can see from the photo, I’m still suffering the affects of too much hyaluronidase being injected into my face. This past year has been extremely difficult. Please anyone before you decide to use this stuff. Do your research, find a docter who understands the consequences of too much hyaluronidase being used, not a doctor that’s in denial (I can’t stress this enough), make sure only a small amount is used. Updated on 9 Jun 2019: Here’s a few pictures of my lips. After the hyaluronidase they went a lot smaller than they were before I’d even had the filler put in. They have improved a bit though they still aren’t back to how they were. My whole mouth area, as well as my face and eyes are still suffering. It’s been over a year now, therefore I’m not holding out much hope for much more improvement. Hyaluronidase has permanently damaged my face.
