I have never LOVED my boobs. They were definitely perkier before I breastfed 2 kids, but I always felt like my nipples were too big and that they were not "round" enough... Fast forward to today... I am 48YO, I have gained and lost the same 20 pounds at least a dozen times in my life, and gravity has taken its toll! I elected to have a breast lift without implants, as I am OK with the size of my breasts, and I do not want to risk BII, or future surgeries if I had to explant or exchange implants. Updated on 29 Apr 2021: I elected to have this procedure done while awake, so Dr. Best only used local anesthetic, plus I took 2mg Xanax (1 before the surgery & 1 in the middle) & inhaled Pronox here & there. After the procedure, I took 1/2 a hydrocodone every 4 hours until I sent to sleep for the night, which equaled 1 1/2 pills. As of yesterday AM I am just taking regular Tylenol as needed (every 4-6 hours.) My breasts feel a bit stingy/itchy, and now & then I have weird shooting pains, all of which I was told (and have read) is normal. Overall I would say any pain or discomfort is at about a 1 or 2. So far I am very pleased with my results - I am dying to get a peek at my areolas (which I specifically requested be no larger than 1.4" lol), but I have to wait until the tape/gauze falls off. I will update with more pics when I can show off my new areolas (haha!), but for now, here is a before (with markings) & immediately after pic, and 1 pic from Day 1 Post Op. Updated on 30 Apr 2021: I finally got a look at my areolas today and I am thrilled. Prior to surgery, I literally cut out different sized circles & taped them to my boobs until I found what I considered the perfect sized areola - and I am happy to see that Dr. Best hit the mark. I am still wrapping up in an Ace bandage & wearing a sports bra other than when I shower & let things air out/dry. My boobs are still a bit itchy & tingly & I still have the odd shooting pain, but I am no longer even taking Tylenol - any discomfort is still at a 1 or 2. I am feeling good, but I plan to take it easy this weekend to ensure everything heals as it should. I will go back to the PS on Tuesday for my 1 week check-up & update then. Updated on 7 May 2021: I had my one week check up and everything is healing up nicely. As soon as the surgical tape falls off I will start using silicone scar tape. I am extremely pleased with my results and loving my cute areolas. I am still taking it easy, as in limiting household chores and exercise, etc. I am also treating my breasts gingerly… And I wonder when I will feel like they are just a normal part of my body again ha ha. That’s OK though, because every time I catch a glimpse of my new perky boobs, I am super happy. Here are a few pics of the incisions and how they are healing. Updated on 11 May 2021: It has been exactly 2 weeks since my surgery, and everything is healing great. All of the surgical tape finally fell off and I have started using Mederma Scar Gel and I will be applying Cica silicone tape as well. I am still thrilled with my results and surprised at how well/quickly I am healing. I have tried on a few bathing suits without underwire or padding & I cannot wait to hit the beach/pool. It has been over a decade since I could wear a bathing suit without massive support. So HaPpY!!!
I have been a yo-yo dieter my entire life Being 5’2”, even a gain of 5-7 pounds is noticeable! But even when I was 115 pounds, (& with a flat stomach, prior to having 2 C-sections) I always had thick upper arms and thighs. Fast forward to now... I went through early menopause at age 38, and since then I really can’t diet & exercise my way under 136 pounds, and while I am cool with being a thick chick, my arms & thighs are TOO thick! After devouring this site for years & 4-5 different consultations, I chose Dr. Best to perform tickle Lipo on my arms, inner & outer thighs, inner knees, and banana rolls. My procedure is today and I am beyond excited! I have been talking Arnica 30 for 5 days as well as Bromelain to help with swelling and bruising, I have a bed pad ready for any leaking... all that is left to do is to post my before pics & drive to Dr. Best’s office! Updated on 14 Oct 2020: I will start by describing the day of the procedure. I took half a Valium before the procedure started, and the other half in the middle LOL. I felt stinging, like you would from a shot, when they initially injected local anesthetic. I also felt some tolerable stinging when they were injecting the tumescent fluid through the cannula. If Dr. Best or his staff saw me grimace too hard, they would pause and inject more local anesthetic through the needle before injecting more fluid with the cannula. I felt very little pain during the actual liposuction procedure except a twinge here and there if Dr. Best reached the border of the anesthetized area. Dr. Best and his staff constantly asked me how I was doing, and his nurse Robin massaged my scalp to help me relax during the procedure & I felt very taken care of. Nothing I experienced would discourage me from doing this again or encouraging somebody else to have tickle Lipo. I took a four hour nap when I got home, and I woke up with some pain. I took half a hydrocodone at that time, and another half five hours later and then slept through the night. Yesterday I took Aleve twice, and today I am not taking anything for pain. I still feel sore, and some twinging at the incision sites and even a little itching, but it is hard to believe I had surgery two days ago. I feel good! I am wearing compression garments 24/7 except for the blissful 15 minutes or so when I finally got to shower this morning, and then five minutes while I had some pictures taken. So today, 48 hours post, I am definitely very swollen & my arms have a lot of bruising, but my legs are only slightly bruised. I am very pleased with the progress I am seeing with my legs. Since my arms are so bruised and swollen, I am not seeing much of a difference yet. I cannot wait to see how things progress! So far I am very happy with how things are going. Tomorrow morning I have the first of five lymphatic drainage massage is scheduled, so hopefully that will help get rid of some of the swelling. My postop appointment is on Wednesday, the 21st, so I will post another update then. Updated on 29 Oct 2020: I have been feeling good. Still have some bruising and swelling and I am impatiently waiting to see more changes! I have added some pictures comparing my body before the surgery and then two weeks post. I am wearing a hot pink tank top in the before pictures… Hopefully you can tell ha ha Updated on 10 Apr 2021: These pictures show the before pics, 2 weeks post, and pics taken yesterday. I am the SAME weight in all three pictures, so all of the changes in my body are from the Tickle Lipo. I am very pleased with my legs; their entire shape has changed and it is noticeable both in pictures and when I try on clothing from pre-Lipo. I am not satisfied with my arms. They are still too bulky, and I believe Dr. Best was too conservative with what he took out. I would be OK with a bit more hanging skin to be able to fit my arms comfortably in normal sleeves. I plan to pursue a revision - but I have a different procedure (awake breast lift) scheduled for later this month, so I need to heal from that before I can redress my arms.
Dr Best is the second doctor I have been to. The first did not do a good job. My experience was wonderful would not go to anyone else. Very professional and personal. My face always looks great after treatment. Creams and lotions help but the injections are the only was to go for instant results.
There is not a way for you to prep your muscle prior to sub muscular augmentation. The muscle will be stretched by the implant. Follow your surgeon's post op instructions for pain control and activity restriction.
