So far, I've gone to Dr. Sterling 3 times in the past 9 years. First, he did my tummy tuck no lipo and got rid of my mom apron. Then about 2 years later, I went for arm and back lipo and yesterday got my breast lift. Let me tell you, he is amazing! The pictures are from day of consultation and day after surgery. I will update again after 2 weeks then at a month but I'm already impressed. The pain level is so minimal, it feels like soreness after a workout. I haven't taken pain killers, I'm walking around unassisted and going up and down stairs like normal. I was able to shower after my postoperative visit and getting the small drains removed.
Professional, clean, experienced, knowledgeable, and I am glad I chose Sterling Plastic surgery for my procedure. Dr. Sterling is incredibly talented and I am extremely happy with my results! I HIGHLY recommend Sterling Plastic surgery and will be sure to refer anyone to their location. Thank you!

Only using Motrin for discomfort Updated on 31 May 2022: Swelling is going down tremendously and overall feeling great. Had a few days of doing a little too much, the drain reminded me I’m still recovering and to rest more which I did and it’s made a huge difference can’t wait to look back and reflect on this time! Updated on 7 Jun 2022: Feeling well overall. Can’t wait to be cleared for exercise. Been walking since 3 days after surgery still swollen but overall happy with how things are progressing Updated on 14 Jun 2022: As time goes on I am really starting to notice what people say Will happen. The swelling takes time.I woke up this morning feeling almost100% back to me! My biggest struggle with recovery wasn’t the pain that was so minimal it was incredible! Mentally and emotionally saying goodbye to a chapter of my life that has exhausted me both mentally and physically! Now onto the next chapter of my life Updated on 2 Jul 2022: Today I am over the 6 week hump and really feeling more like me! This has changed my life in such a positive way! I know as time goes on that it will continue to be better but today I feel like me! I’ve been wearing spanks at work for support and will probably wear them another 2 week or so, they help with swelling and support to do my job. I also wear them when I workout. I’m going to start working abs again slowly but overall my results are what I wanted and more ;-) Updated on 8 Aug 2022: Back to almost 100% of me, minor complication at about 9 weeks I had a dissolvable suture come to the surface. They have since removed it and things seem to be better! Couldn’t be happier with my results and the care I received. Looking forward to the future!
I have been embarrassed about my breasts since I was about 17 years old and I finally realized they weren’t going to change any more. I felt like everything that could have been wrong went wrong..small but saggy, different sizes, big areola...you name it. I always felt ashamed with partners even though nobody has ever mentioned it to me. I even felt ashamed with other girl friends and felt like I could never go bra-less. It took me literally a decade of feeling this way to make a consultation with a plastic surgeon, and he immediately told me I would need to get implants and a breast lift to fix my issues. I was so discouraged, because I didn’t want bigger breasts, I just wanted to fix the shape. I also was scared of scarring and the recovery time and obviously the price tag. Two more years went by and I started researching options again. I discovered areola reduction and it sounded like it could be the answer. I reached out to Dr. Sterling’s office and realized I could do this procedure under local anesthesia in 30 minutes which A) was cheaper and B) afforded me the privacy of being able to drive myself and not have to tell anyone, which was important to me. I was worried it was too good to be true but I tried to temper my expectations and also told myself that I would rather do this and take a risk than regret never trying...plus, it’s not like there was much to ruin. So I had my procedure 10 days ago. It was so quick and easy, I was bracing for pain but after they numbed me up I literally didn’t feel a thing. I only had pain/sensitivity the first night and I just took a few Advil and it went away. The results have blown me away...I had to post because there was another girl who posted a few years ago that inspired me to do this and I hope I can be that person for someone else. This is honestly one of the best decisions I have ever made, I only wish I had done it sooner. I am so grateful to Dr. Sterling and his team, I honestly feel like my life has changed. I’m only 10 days out and just took my steristrips off today but will continue to post photos. Overall takeaway...if you have small breasts that look like mine and are considering this but are scared...it’s actually a really simple procedure with low risk and the results are insane Updated on 20 Jun 2020: One month...still have some redness/scabs and faint bruising on one breast but feeling great and back to my normal activities. I have very pale areola so I think any redness sticks out more. Still very pleased
From the moment I contacted dr. Sterling’s office for a consult, I was welcomed by friendly and professional staff. The entire experience exceeded my expectations. Through the consult visit, scheduling of my procedure, and all post-op visits, I never felt rushed and everyone took extra time to be sure all my questions were answered. Dr. Sterling’s skill and ability to repair a previously poor procedure is exceptional. I am so happy with the results I received that if I am interested in any other procedure, dr. Sterling and his team is my first choice! I highly recommend dr sterling if you are considering any procedures.
I have always been a fit person, but after turning 40 and having a hysterectomy, thyroid change and a knee replacement by the time I was 45 exercise was not an option for a while. I tried my hardest to stay fit and did okay but the one thing that really changed for me was how large my breast had become. I put this surgery off thinking I could get the weight off, but I was unsuccessful, that's when I asked around and Dr Daniel Sterling was recommended, from the moment I walked in his office to the finished surgery I was taken care with excellence. No matter who helped me everyone was amazing!! I had an incredible experience and my breast look great! Thank you to Dr Sterling, Liz, Gloria, and Sarah and anyone I left out! The staff is wonderful!! I would recommend these folks and the excellence of the surgery to anyone!!! Thanks again!!!
Dr. Sterling performed a tummy tuck, muscle repair, lipo and breast lift for me on 2/14/19. The day after surgery I was only taking 800mg of ibuprofen. The first 4 days were rough but not too bad. I had more pain after my c-section. I brought my dog out the night I got home from the hospital from surgery. Dr. Sterling is straight to the point and will tell you what he can and cannot do. His staff is wonderful as well. I love the fact that he is straight forward and doesn’t fluff anything up. He is a true artist with his hands. He’s also not as to look at.
I had my original augmentation in 2015 worth anatomical over the muscle implants. Over the course of 3 years I dealt with constant rotation issues. I finally decided to do a revision and switch to round high profile. I couldn’t be happier and I figured it’s abot time I posted some pics anda review. Pre: 32A Post anatomical (390cc silicone) over the muscle - 32ddd Post round high profile (415cc silicone) over the muscle - 32ddd Dr. Sterling is amazing!!!
Well, so far so good. I have struggled with a double chin for the last 20 years, despite good weigh and health. I too the plunge and had liposuction and I am BLOWN AWAY by my results. I’m only 48 hours post op and I know I have some lumps bud bumps to massage it and swelling and bruising will become worse as I heal, but man oh man am I happy. I will keep updating as the healing process continues ?? Updated on 18 May 2018: Feeling no to little pain and I am shocked at how little the bruising and swelling are. I have been diligent about making sure I am eating clean, low sodium food, lots of fluids. Sleeping with head elevated. I am walking around the house and not staying too still or sitting for too long. The overall feeling is bizarre. I am numb and super sensitive in areas and it feels awful strange without the wrap on. I don’t like the wrap off for long. I shower and right now i it goes. Starting to see some lines and bumps which is totally normal from what I hear so I am allowing my body the space to heal and I am feeling overjoyed that I made this decision and pushed thru my fear. More photos to follow later today. Updated on 18 May 2018: Skin rippling is freaking me out... I keep reminding myself that this is normal and it’s only day 3.... positive thoughts Updated on 19 May 2018: I woke up this morning to take a shower, and when I took off my compression garment I noticed tremendous puckering and wrinkling of my skin, I realize it was the way that my compression garment gauze and neck was situated for the night. After a shower and gentle massage on my neck I am seeing even better results than I did yesterday. So I wanted to upload some pictures to help any other people who may be considering having the surgery or maybe on this journey themselves. I’m still numb and tender, but not nearly as bad as I was yesterday. I also feel that my neck contour is looking more natural. Updated on 20 May 2018: Bruising has turned green and yellow. I have a bigger bruise from my IV on my arm than my Neck. Ripples are smoothing out and pain is minimal. Sleeping ok, but I’m a side/stomach sleeper so it’s challenging and I miss sleeping soundly. Swelling is minimal but there. The compression garment is weird and hrs to stay put. I have thin hair and the garment moves all over the place. Overall I’m feeling fabulous and can’t wait to be able to show my neck off. So happy I did this surgery. Only wish I did it sooner. Updated on 21 May 2018: Today was the first day that I actually did my hair and made myself somewhat presentable. Feeling really good and beyond thrilled with the results still. Noticing some banding skin rippling and yellow green bruising as well as some swelling but all is to be expected considering I’m less than one week out of surgery. It is still a vast improvement from my before and I know that the results will just get better and better as time goes on. As of tomorrow I do not need to wear my compression garment 24/7 anymore, I will still wear it at night for 4 to 6 weeks, that’s my preference not my surgeons. He told me I could be done with my compression garment today, although I’m not ready for that I find the support it gives me brings much comfort during my healing process. Here are some photos and I will update again in a few days. Updated on 29 May 2018: The last few days I have formed bumps and hard lumps in my throat. I’m sure it’s all part of the healing as I’ve read that only being 14 days postop this is very normal however it is so hard not to be concerned and or in your head about it. I’m super confident the results will be amazing but the healing process definitely throw some loops. I know it feels worse than it looks. I got my stitches out Friday and my doctor says I’m right where I should be and healing great. I wear my compression garment anytime I’m home and when sleeping. Updated on 4 Jun 2018: I feel great, minimal pain. The swelling is worse at night then in the morning. When I wake up and take off my compression garment the results are flawless, but as the day goes on if I’m not wearing my garment I definitely noticed swelling, bumps and lumps, and rippling. However with that being said all has gotten tremendously better with time. So in my head I have a six week mark before I’ll make any judgments. I’ve read a lot of the reviews on here and also searched for reviews on Google and have found what I am experiencing to be the norm. I am hoping that as the next few weeks go by my results will get better and better. I would love to hear from anybody who has had this done or could share any insights. I’ve noticed that not many people will review it past 10 days and don’t answer the questions back on the comments so if you have anything to share I would be very eager to hear it Blessings. Thanks for reading. Updated on 11 Jun 2018: Thanks for stopping in and reading the update. I hope that any of the information I share may assist others in this journey. It’s such a personal journey and so many uncertainties as the time really needs to go by in order to see results, but during that time it’s hard not to get in your head and freak out. Today is just 24 hours shy of one month. I feel great and not in too much pain... although when I massage the area it is a little tender. I’m also wearing my compression garment anytime I’m home or asleep. That is my preference not my surgeons, I just feel a tremendous difference when I have it on and I feel it is assisting still in my healing. In my mind I have the six week mark when I will stop wearing the compression garment during the day and only at night. I also feel that by week eight I won’t wear it at all, but if I decide to because it brings comfort then I will, but in my mind that’s the timeline I have. The right side of my neck is showing more signs of lumps and bumps then the left side, it’s so hard not to get freaked out as I said before, but truly my results are blowing me away still, even if it wasn’t to get any better than where it is right now it’s still a vast improvement from where it was. I have no doubt that the next 6 to 8 weeks will bring tremendous improvement in continued healing and then I’ll be at month three and can really start evaluating my results. I don’t want to be too hasty with my judgment and it seems to be the consensus that at three months is really when you can start seeing somewhat of the final results with six months being the mark of finality. Would love to hear from anybody who is in the process of healing or has already healed from this venture. It would be really nice to connect. Thank you so much for reading and I hope you have a blessed day. Updated on 19 Jun 2018: Well, almost at 6 weeks and every day a little better. It is a slow healing process but definitely can see improvements. As the weeks pass you can really start to see how things are progressing. I have a little tenderness and pain in spots, which is kinda new, but not alarming. I think my nerves are starting to “feel” again. I go see my surgeon Monday next week for my 6 week follow up. I’m look forward to hearing from him seeing where he thinks I’m at. I wear my garment still.... plan to for another month or so. I wear about 3-6 hrs a day and when sleeping. Can see my skin trying to shrink and redrape and I hear this is what take away longest to retract. Can be 6-12 months after procedure to see full skin retraction. So patience is key. I am doing my best to keep my mind present and not fearful that something isn’t right or comparing myself to others. Easier said than done haha. Since I always had a 6 week timeframe as to when I would start to judge my results a bit, I am now moving that time frame to three months... so another seven weeks I will then start to reevaluate my results.... So based on my six week time frame, (even though a week short) I am thrilled with my results. Like I said in the previous part of this update I see my surgeon on Monday and after I evaluate his words and my feelings I will then put my new expectations for six weeks down the line. By three months I’m hoping to have a pretty good idea of what my results will be and at that point I think I will stop updating until my six-month point and 1 year. I would love to hear some stories about people who are at any point of the journey, but more specifically at their six week mark and their three-month mark. Thank is so much for reading. God bless. Updated on 25 Jun 2018: Six weeks! I am so happy to be at the six week mark. I just got back from speaking with my surgeon and he is thrilled with the results and gave me such peace of mind. He assured me that the residual lumps, bumps and swelling will for sure continue to get better with time. He also gave me the OK to start working out more strenuously and not wear my garment (I will still wear it at night until I feel comfortable.) I haven’t slept for six weeks without this on so I will be trying to sleep without the garment on in the next few days. I will update when I do that just to see how it goes. The past week has brought tremendous improvements to the swelling, I am noticing more of a loose profile then I’ve had over the last few weeks but I am chalking that up to not wearing my garment during the day any longer. Four days ago I stopped wearing it during the day and only started wearing it at night. So I can tell the swelling is definitely more apparent... truth be told, even if my results were to never get any better than where they are right now I am beyond thrilled. Things that have been occurring this late in recovery have been, swelling, harder lumps at the end of the day rather than in the beginning of the day, skin still trying to attach, some looseness and fullness on the side profile more so on my right side of my left side, random pain and zap like feelings as my nerves continue to heal, some tenderness when massaging, still rather numb to the touch under chin. Now that I’ve hit the six week mark I have made some judgments on my results and they are as follows: I am happy with my front view and happy with my Sideview, although I’m hoping both will continue to improve and I will get to my results that I had on day two as the swelling and healing continues, I am blown away at how much our body can heal and how miraculous it is, I’m really grateful for my health, my mind made more fearful scenarios then actually happened during the process, i’m so grateful for this app and the people that are using it and have reached out during this journey it brought so much comfort and a sense of connection, I’m 1000% happy that I made the decision to do this, I have learned that every body is different and although we like to compare and have something to judge on it truly is such a individualized process and every body is different, it takes time to see the results which can be very frustrating and disheartening at times. I will still update this account going forward, but plan on giving a super detailed update at the 3 month mark (which is in another six weeks). In the meantime I will update with pictures and anything that has changed, helped and/or any new symptoms that may occur. I want to thank everybody who has read this post and wish you well on your journey no matter where you are in the world or in the process. God bless. Updated on 10 Jul 2018: How in the heck did we get totwo months already? So excited to be able to give an update again and looking forward to the continuation of healing going forward. I have been slacking when it comes to the compression garment, but after two months I truly feel like it probably isn’t making all that much of a difference. Last week I slept without my garment on, and woke up with no difference. So I continued with only wearing the garment 2 to 3 hours a day and not at night. After days of doing that I noticed that there was definitely some more fullness in my chin from swelling, if I put my garment back on for an hour the swelling disappears. So I’ve gotten into the habit of wearing it for the first few hours of the morning if needed. Every day gets better and better, there are some days with more swelling, although that seems to happen later in the evening, and if I’ve been super active it will be more swollen. I still have not gone back to the gym full-time, when I lift heavy weights I can still feel it in my neck so I’m giving myself time and space not to go hard at the gym until three months. That intuitively feels correct for me and my situation. The only thing I know for sure is that I would’ve done this way sooner. I also have become friendly with a few people on this app and elsewhere that have gone through the same procedure, and although our stories varies some of the symptoms are common across-the-board one of the biggest realizations is that time truly will bring better results. I became friendly with a person who had this done a year ago and she is just now seeing results that don’t fluctuate on a day-to-day basis. That’s a year later folks, keep the faith and know that every body is different and our body knows how to heal. I’ve attached pictures of two months and will continue to update as the weeks pass. For all of you who have followed my journey or have read it just to gain some insight and knowledge, I want to thank you for being part of this. If you’re considering getting it done do your research, check your doctors credentials, ask for references, and move forward confidently. If you’ve had this done or healing from this I wish you a speedy recovery happy results and renewed confidence. God bless. Updated on 15 Aug 2018: I am three months one week postop and feel I am 85% healed. Sensation is coming back every day. I still see some swelling now and again, and I know as the next three to six months pass I will get better and better results. I am thrilled that I went through with this and with my results. I stopped wearing the compression garment three weeks ago. Now when I go to put it on it’s so uncomfortable I say to myself how the hell did I do this for so long? BUT I am a firm believer that it was using the compression garment as long and as often as I did that helped with my results. If anybody is reading this and looking to get this done I highly recommend going to a board-certified surgeon and one that has many years specifically with facial surgeries. If you are in the New England area I highly recommend my surgeon he is absolutely amazing, his hands and skills are top notch and I will never go to anybody else going forward should I decide to have any other procedures done in the future. I will continue to update at the six-month mark and the one year mark. I do check this out every now and again so if you have any questions please feel free to send me a direct message or leave a comment. Best wishes on your journey, God bless.
I had a tummy tuck just over a year ago and the results, although subtle, were life changing! I regained my confidence, felt beautiful, and was motivated to focus more on my body and my health. I didn't have any Lipo with my tuck (see my other review for info on that) and after a while I felt that the front of my body didn't match the rest of me son I went back to my surgeon to contour my waist, bra rolls, and arms with some Lipo. So far it's only been 6 days and I can see results! I am extremely swollen and bruised and my arms are sore and very tender but the discomfort is manageable and I returned to work today. I was driving by day 3... In all, he removed 600cc from each upper arm and 700cc from each bilateral flank/roll side area ???? Updated on 9 Mar 2018: I went to my 1 week follow up. So far, no real issues and everything is healing as it should. My arms feel as if there's a fire inside no matter what I do and they are really tight and sore. I still can't lift my arms past my shoulder height... anything passed that feels as if my underarm is going to rip. Aside from that, the bruising has gone down as well as the swelling. I did notice that my left side looks a lot smoother and even than my right. There are some bumps and tightness but I hope it resolves with massages. I am getting massages daily before bed for about 30 mins from hubby. He's been really supportive and real trooper through all my transformation. Anyway, here are some week 1 pics.. Updated on 30 Mar 2018: I am so happy with my results, I wore my compression garment 24/7 for the first 2 weeks. By week 3 I was only wearing it while I was home including over night. I put it on by 5pm when I get home and take my shower and then take it off at 7am when I get dressed to go to work... I think after this week I'm gonna stop wearing it since I dont feel like it's really compressing any more and I'm lazy to get a size smaller. My clothes definitely fit a lot better, I can see a much better silhouette which is what I wanted. I'm only 4 weeks post-op and still a bit swollen but I love my results, the burning sensation has gone down on my back although my arms still feel tingly when touched... All the incisions healed nicely and are not noticeable at all. Updated on 9 May 2018: I am extremely satisfied. I did not shrink drastically so people haven't really noticed a full transformation and that's what I wanted from the start. I didn't go down in size but my clothes fit me better, I've had to take my pants in about an inch at the waist ???? my thighs and hips are still the same size but my waist shrunk a bit... I spend more time in sun dresses than anything else because I'm in love with my shape. I am still tender in the lipo areas and my doctor said it can take 4-6 months for that to go away. It's not so much a burning sensation like it was in the beginning but more like a soreness from intense workout when I move or touch those areas towards the end of the day... it's not a constant and it doesn't stop me from going about my day.
Sorry to hear you're having trouble following your brachioplasty. As other surgeons have mentioned, it is not uncommon to have minor dehiscences (wound openings) following this procedure. Occasionally, the area in the axilla (armpit) will open a bit wider but in almost all cases will heal uneventfully with routine wound care. It can take several weeks for larger openings to close so patience will serve you well here. I would not recommend any revisional surgery at this time. If the scar is troublesome from a cosmetic or functional standpoint then it can be addressed once it has healed and matured for several months. Best of luck and be confident that this will resolve favorably with your ultimate outcome being excellent. DAS
