So I had a regular visit with my dermatologist and asked about the bump on my right middle finger top digit. I was advised that it was a myxoid cyst and was recommended to make an appointment with Dr. Craig Person. So I had the appointment and then surgery a few weeks later to remove it. I was extremely pleased that Dr. Person was recommended, because at the office and the surgery center they explained in detail the process and make sure that I was comfortable every step of the way. Not sure if there was something wrong with me or if that Dr. Person is such an amazing surgeon(I'm sure it's this), but after my surgery there was no pain at all in my finger to where I needed pain medicine. I just had little to no discomfort. I HIGHLY and STRONGLY recommend Dr. Person!!
My breasts have grown steadily throughout my life and I tried to live with them as is but the shoulder and back pain got to be too much to bear. My regular band size is a 32 and I've struggled to find bras in a cup size large enough to fit them (bra size before reduction - 32R). My breasts are very heavy and have taken a toll on my shoulders which now have deep painful indentations. I had my initial consultation with my surgeon, Dr Craig Person, in December 2019 and two follow up appointments in early 2020 where he answered all of my questions and provided all of the pertinent info. I also did a lot of research online over a 2-year period including here on RS before I finally made the decision to have surgery on 3/3/20. Dr Person is an experienced surgeon with a great bedside manner. Insurance should cover 100% of surgery costs as long as 500 grams is removed from each breast (he anticipates removing 750 - 1000 grams from each). Updated on 11 Mar 2020: Surgery went well and I’m happy with the way they look. Anesthesia was a bit rough on me...wasn’t able to keep anything down for the first few hours after I got home, and couldn’t empty my bladder on my own for 2 days after that. Eventually bladder came around and catheter was removed. I’ve taken it very easy since surgery and allowed my family to help with everything. It’s 8 days later and other than the feeling of tightness around the incisions under my breasts, I feel so much better. I’m starting to regain sensation gradually in both breasts. Tomorrow is my first post op appointment. Can’t wait to get these stitches out!! Updated on 11 Mar 2020: Updated on 15 Mar 2020: PS was pleased with how they are healing and decided to keep remaining steri strips and stitches in for another week. I’m feeling less tight across my chest and they are starting to feel softer and more normal. I have some discomfort in the breast tissue area under my left armpit. I also have a tiny breakdown in the right t-junction. PS says these two things are normal and no cause for concern. Updated on 19 Mar 2020: Stitches came out today and the girls are healing well. It hurt a little bit while PS was taking stitches out, but it was bearable. I was freaking out about this last night and watching you tube videos on removal of stitches. Still have some steri strips on, I can remove the rest in 3 days and moisturize with Shea butter. Can’t wait to do that as my skin is sooo dry! Next visit in 2 weeks. Updated on 24 Mar 2020: Steri strips are finally of and I’m applying shea butter and palmers cocoa butter. They are feeling more normal everyday. Nipple sensation is great in both breasts. Thinking back to where I was 3 weeks ago and how I was feeling. I am so thankful and grateful for how well my healing has been going. I am still very careful not to overdo things or push myself too far. Pics added. Updated on 14 Apr 2020: I am healing nicely (see pics). There’s an area between both breasts that’s still a bit sore especially when I lean forward. I still sleep on my back for the most part because it’s the most comfortable. I can lay on my sides for short periods of time before I start feeling soreness in between the breasts. Lefty is a bit larger than righty...that’s how it was before. Was hoping they’d be evened out with the surgery, but no worries, still love them! For scarring, I tried scar sheets for 2 days, but I found them annoying and taking them off made me more sore, so I stopped using them. Also I’ve always preferred natural remedies, so I’m using shea butter, cocoa butter and pure vitamin E oil. Updated on 4 Jun 2020: Pics added. Scars becoming hypertrophic/raised. Hopefully they’ll flatten as healing progresses. Trying scar sheets again. Don’t want to do steroid injections. Updated on 13 Mar 2021: Doing well overall and breasts have completely healed. Still have hypertrophic scars but they’re flattening and softening in most areas. Even with that I have no regrets about the surgery whatsoever. It improved my life tenfold!
I am very satisfied with Dr. Person and his staff. They were very welcoming and accommodating. The doctor saw me on time and every question was answered and I felt empowered by the visit as it relates to the care of my hand and other options discussed with doctor. Also, very happy to discover the full range of services offered by Dr. Person. Last, Dr. Person was very kind in discussing another service with me not scheduled for my visit. Very space and comfortable waiting area with exceptional welcoming staff to greet and register you. 5 Stars!!!!
I wanted to get rid of hanging fat and skin from my abdomen to give myself a flatter silhouette. While this is MAJOR surgery and takes time to heal, I would do it all over again. This procedure was done in a surgery center under general anesthesia. It took 4 1/2 hours. It include back liposuction, excision of skin and fat, tightening of abdominal muscles. I ended up with three drainage tubes for a week. The first two weeks were very painful for me even with a pain pump. The surgeon helped the patient to be patient and allow my body to settle down and heal.
Positive Experience. Got a breast reduction. He was very open and honest about what he could do, what to expect and what was unrealistic even when I didn't like the answer. He also LISTENED to me, which I find to be a rare trait in Doctors these days. He knew I wanted to get as much of a reduction as possible, and he was honest about what he would be able to remove, and when he was able to remove a bit more than he thought, he did so because he knew that was what I wanted. He worked well with the limitations of other medications I take due to a chronic illness and always explained things clearly when I had questions. I am SUPER HAPPY about my surgery results.
I absolutely LOVE Dr. Person! He performed a breast lift with implants on me and I absolutely am over-the-top happy and satisfied with my results. Dr. Person and his wonderful staff are very personable and professional and will go above and beyond to put you at ease. My experience surpassed all my expectations and I absolutely highly recommend Dr. Person.
I have always had large breast since I was 13 I was in a D cup and I had stayed there until I had me daughter in which I got up to now a 42 ddd-e. My job requires a lot of heavy lifting that now that my breast has gotten this large it is making them unbearable. I can’t sleep at night I think I may get about 4 hours sleep. I thought at first that it was my weight and I started going to the gym 5 times a week. But that only lasted a month I couldn’t take the pain. So I started goggling surgeon in my area. I found one set up a consultation met with the doc an feel in love with him. He and his staff have been very helpful with any question or concerns I have. They have made feel like I’m in good hands. I go for pre OPT on 11/17/2011. Wish me luck I’m so excited;)O yeah I want a C cup but scared it won’t fit my body:( Updated on 6 Dec 2011: The day before up surgey. I kind of have the bubble guts lol. But im excited.I guess the thing that is scaring me is the fact that im going to be put to sleep. Updated on 8 Dec 2011: Hey. I would first like to start off with thanking everyone for there support because of you all support and updates i was able to go in to that OR with my chin up and smile on my face knowing that i mad the right decision. I didn't really remember much from the OR the last thing i remember the anthologist saying was that he had a real good cotail for me. LOL and boy did i was out with in secs. I didnt wake up until i was in the post opt room. My doc was the best. I didnt have a chance to talk to him after the procedure but he did locate my boyfriend an updated him on how everything went. I stayed over night for the most part it was pleasant expect when i first got into my room i felt like i could breath an i thought it was because i had been a smoker for 8 year. So i called my nurse about 5 times and she never came. Then i started to panic lucky a tech came and got the charge nurse for me.She called my doc an he explained that everything was ok my chest was just a little tight due to the perkiness. Which was no problem i was just very disturb that a nurse would not respond when a patient was complain about a breathing issue. But i told the nurse in charge i need a new nurse and she took over the shift. She was very helpful. Pain management was maintained really good.My face was itching alot and i threw up alot to but over all manageable. I woke up every hour. My doc came in the morning an pulled my drains out. An i was free to go. Doc stated that he took 1100grams per breast. I just cant compliment enough on how great my doc was he was very friendly answered all my question and just plain genuine. Back hurts a little i think because of the rap will update tomorrow:)
I went to Dr. Person to recieve a steroid injection and I was left with hypopigmentated skin due to the injections. He recommend me to visit.a tattoo place to fix the hypopigmentated area but based on other opinions I reviewed from other doctors that is not a good solution. Dr. Person is always late to every surgery and has me waiting one o hour in the lobby every appointment. Dr. Person is very unprofessional & I do not recommend him to anyone.
Had breast augmentation done in August 2008. On day of appointment (at Laurel Regional) Dr Person was 45 minutes late. When he finally arrived his WHOLE family was waiting in the waiting room with my husband. They were leaving on vacation directly after. When I came to I never saw Dr Person he had already left. Had horrible time healing. When I finally was finally able to do my follow up with Dr Person my breast were in bad shape, they were not healing and had developed huge wounds around nipple. Dr Person told me he thought my body was rejecting implants. One week later I found out I was newly pregnant at time of surgery. Pregnancy test is a screening that is to take place before surgery (I now know this)! Laurel never did pregnancy test and since my doctor was so late and wanting to get on vacation he never checked! I followed up with office clearly annoyed and was told by office manager to never contact the office again! I delivered a healthy baby girl 9 months later, but here I am 8 years later with HORRIBLE HORRIBLE scaring. I do not recommend.
Ok so I've chosen Dr. Craig Person to do my surgery I looked through all of his work and have chosen to go with him for a few different reasons. I live here and the DMV and I'm a mom of a small child so I can't go away to another state for weeks. I'm very excited, I've chosen to do subfasical because it gives you more of a pop. I haven't chosen a size yet but I want go as big as I can without looking unnatural. My surgery is set for the end of the month.... Wish me luck :) Updated on 1 Jul 2016: Hello everyone, so I had surgery a few days ago and here are some before and after photos. Doctor Craig was very nice and charming and very up beat as usual. The only thing that was disppointing was that I didn't get a chance to choose my implant size. I was suppose to choose it in the operating room from a few different implants but the next thing I knew they put me to sleep before I even had the chance to see them. That kinda sucks because I spent a lot of money on surgery and I'm not even sure if the size will be big enough for what I wanted. However I know that Dr. Craig has been doing this a while so fingers crossed about me loving the end results :). Updated on 1 Jul 2016: I can't wait until it's all healed up. It starting to look pretty good :) Updated on 2 Jul 2016: I love love love my new butt! It's perfect! I really hope it stays this big :). I have a small amount of pain but it's really not bad at all. I stopped taking my meds every 4 to 6 hours and I just take 2 at night. I've been out walking and that's hard because it still kinda hurts but overall I feel great and I love looking in the mirror at it :). Updated on 21 Jul 2016: Ok so I'm all better now and out and about. My A$$ looks great! I love it! It feels kinda funny sitting down now but I'm told that will go away. I'll post photos later :) Updated on 10 Aug 2016: It's been 6 weeks and I love my new butt! I've had my follow up and everything was great. I used anti bac soap by dial everyday even though I didn't have to I wanted to make sure I didn't get an infection. Scar looks great too btw!
