Today my splint came off and everything looks great. My doctor did take out a suture that was causing all the Inflamation and replaced it with a dissolvable one. I'm still pretty swollen but I love how my nose looks now.
Thanks for Eveyones support it really helped. :)

Do they normally put nondissolvable stitches inside your nose? I thought those were only for the outside/ where they cut the skin.

Hi, I thinking about doing rhinoplasty with dr. Rubach. Can you please tell me about the anesthesia. Was it local? Did you feel anything during surgery? Did you do the surgery at their private facility? How was it? Thanks in advance

It was twilight anesthesia... everything surrounding my anesthesia went perfectly, I drifted off and woke up wearing a cast. It was in his private facility. Everything went perfectly as far as I’m aware and according to my operative report. I think my issues were more to do with my body and the healing process. The office was nothing but professional

Hi there - I hope you are still considering or already made your decision w/ Dr Rubach! He uses twilight anesthesia. I did not feel a thing during the surgery. It was not painful after either, just discomfort from the splints up my nose. Be grateful Dr. Rubach does not pack the nose. It was done at Dr Rubachs office. I was in office that day for approximately 4 hours, if even that. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. The healing process is slow and the week of recovery after is draining, but so worth it for the end result. Please believe me when I say the pain is minimal, it is just a lot of discomfort. Wishing you all the best in your decision!

Well today was my surgery. And it was a suture causing Inflamation the doctor also added a small graph to the right side of my nose and improved the tip. Not sure exactly what he did because I was still out of it lol. I will know more next week when I see him also I did not have a poly beak thank god!! I can't wait to see results. I will up date next week. Also my doctor is double board certified as an ent and facial plastic surgery reconstruction. So I knew I was in good hands. And all of this was at no charge he said he promises me a beautiful noae and he wasn't satisfied and he also said it would be unethical to charge me.

Since my last post I did talk to my surgeon and he agrees it isn't healing he believes it's a suture causing Inflamation and is doing another open thinoplasty to look around and take out what is causing this. And at no cost to me. He really is a great surgeon and great bedside manor. I will let you know how it goes I'm having it done 2/23

that is not a stitch causing your issues . You have deficient cartilage in upper nose and to much in the lower part . You need a full revision rhinoplasty please get a second opinion .

Thank you for your input but I was lucky it was just a suture causing Inflamation he removed it and put a dissolvable one inplace. Today the splint came off and the bump is gone im just still really swollen. Thanks again
