It is generally considerd a person needs to wait 3-4 months after a BA to allow the breast and skin to drape over the implant and for the swelling to resolve. You are not even close to that time frame. As the swelling goes down, the shape of the breasts will improve and they will likely even appear to be larger because the rounder shape will be evident.

As several of the other MDs have mentioned, most of us have differences to the two sides of our face. Obviously, some more than others. There have actually been studies done concerning this using computer created exactly symmetric faces vs normal asymmetric faces and it was found that we perceive the asymmetric faces as more interesting to look at. So being perfect is not necessarily "more beautiful". Perhaps if you want to have some fun, take that first picture of yourself (that is not distorted by the camera lense) and print it up. Go get an old fashioned ruler and pencil and draw some lines - down the middle, through the eyebrows, lips, pupils of your eyes and see what the differences are. You will be surprised there is not that much.

To really answer a question like this all of us need pictures before and after surgery. Any surgical result depends on what was the shape before surgery in order to compare to what the result was after surgery.

Every surgery has swelling. A breast augmentation has swelling at the top from the pectoral muscle, there is swelling to the breast tissue that "sinks" to the bottom of the breast giving the appearance of hanging over the implant, there is swelling to the skin itself that pushes the implant up and there is fluid around the implant that can also push the implant up. So you sometimes look funny for a couple months until the swelling goes down. I usually say 3 months until things start looking like the final result.

Boy, it is always difficult when you go to 3 different surgeons and it sounds like you got 3 different recommendations. Looks like you are in Australia and all of us American surgeons do not have access to what you are calling the "furry Brazillian" implants. So we will not have a comment on that.
But remember a scar is forever. The scar from a Breast aug alone is usually quite small especially if you get a saline implant. The scars from a breast lift are more. Being a young girl, do you want to try to avoid the scar? If so, then just get an implant, choose the largest one you are comfortable "wearing" and see how you like your shape. You will always look good in clothes - support bra, bathing suit top. It is just with no support how you look. You can always go back and get a lift, you cannot erase the lift incisions.

Polyurethane coated implants were used a long time ago. The polyurethane coating would break down. You likely had this happen and something called a granulomatous reaction formed from the tiny polyurethane particles. The granulona took the path of least resstance (where the skin was the thinnest) which was where the implant extruded in your case. Boy, sorry to see that happened to you. You should probably get the other implant removed, let things heal up for maybe even a year before deciding to replace implants or "just go natural".

I think the best way to understand liposuction is this: If a person has a great big belly, and he loses 50 lbs, this occurs over several months. The skin has time to contract back with the shrinking fat under the skin. With liposuction, the fat is gone in one hour. It takes the skin MONTHS to catch up sometimes. With liposuction, just like with any surgery, you need to wait for Nature to run it's course - and sometimes Nature runs kind of slow.

Suboptimal placement is the opinion of the surgeon that examined you regarding your implants - meaning he thought they were not placed very well. Without pictures, I cannot give my opinion whether I agree with him or not. Sure you can just have the implants removed and have no other procedure. As long as you are happy with the look. We just want everyone to be happy!

There seems to be this information floating around on the internet that breast implants need to be replaced every 10 years. I get asked nearly every week. There is no basis in replacing breast implants unless there is some kind of a problem.

Dr Lehocky is a great doctor! I am very satisfied with my results! I am very happy with my decision, I was very worried about having an unnatural look. I came in the office for a tummy tuck consult with Dr. Lehocky and he explained very well the difference between a mini tuck vs a ftt. He explained the risks and benefits as well as the recovery process and I was very comfortable and confident with him. I came in with realistic expectations, knowing that my major concern was my loose skin and knowing that if there shall be a vertical scar from the previous belly button hole, I would be content with it. My Dr did tell me that if I wanted to avoid a breast lift, the bigger the better... and 600 ccs where the biggest size they had me try on and I felt comfortable but now I kinda just want 500 ccs.... I woke up in pain and it lasted like 2 hours and I haven't felt pain ever since I'm taking pain meds that are miracles and muscle relaxers I feel no pain at all... thank god... Had a mommy makeover after 4 kids and 26 year marriage i needed to be selfish and think about myself. I had been working hard and struggeling a lot with losing weight i'd lose some and gain more. When i finally made my decision i interview with dr. Lehocky he listened and understood exactly what i wanted done. I was scheduled for surgery for the following week. Although i had some complications the staff was awsome listened to my concerns and made sure my dr. Knew what i was going thru. Soon after dr. Lehocky assisted me although i'm still in recovery i feel fantastic. Extremely painful first two days, then inconvenient sleeping on back. I had surgery may 25th and wanted to show what I look like 5 days after surgery. Still very puffy--I will add a final photo in a few weeks. Overall, my expectations were exceeded, and I am finally happy with my profile after more than a decade of feeling self-conscious about it. I had a large size implant, and neck lipo/lipo-sculpting, etc. Updated on 1 Jan 2013: I do notice that sometimes there is an odd "stretching" sensation where the implant is. It just tenses up and I notice something foreign is under my skin. This, however, does not bother me at all since the results were so great and it isn't a painful sensation--just a weird one. Other than that, everything is fine. And just so you know, I began sleeping on my stomach about 7 weeks after the surgery and it didn't move. Ultimately, this implant changed my life. I have been motivated to get in shape and dress nicer. So far, I lost about 52 pounds of body fat, gained over 20 pounds of muscle, and have been more comfortable wearing nice clothes. It truly helped me gain confidence I never had.
