I met with Dr. Bedy Lau 3 years ago. He came across very friendly and was genuinely empathetic to the difficult mess I ended up in. He is very professional, experienced, knowledgeable and ethical.. Dr. Bedy Lau has been helping me from trauma from previous botched surgeries. He also has stepped in as my doctor to support me and help me in whatever he can to get me from a state of despair to living a normal life again. With his help using non surgical procedures he has helped me tremendously. I had met with so many other surgeons and none had treated me with the care and sympathy Dr. Bedy Lau has. Wincy is so accommodating, helpful and friendly. She always goes out of her way for me too. Thank you Dr. Bedy Lau for helping me get this far and closer to getting my life back. I will always be a patient and forever grateful.
I am kinda glad that I have found the right surgeon for my double eyelid surgery. The entire process from consultation to 100% recovery took me around 5 months. At first, during consultation, I told Dr. Bedy about my poor skin condition i.e. allergy since birth so I expressed sincere concerns for the effect of the surgery. Yet, he reassured me that the wound would not worsen my facial skin condition and everything would be hygienic. It turned out it was true. The itch I felt with the wound was minimal and bearable. One thing I admire about the surgeon is that: he strives to create the most suitable and appealing eyelid creases for me. As you may know, no matter how skillful the surgeon is, your surgical outcome can turn out awful if the double eyelid creases do not suit you. Luckily, Dr. Bedy is especially serious about the creases’ shapes. We negotiated a lot regarding the angles and lengths of creases because I wanted them apparent but he recommended me to go for more natural ones. He even showed me pictures of how different creases would look like on my face for comparison. Thus, his responses were mature and objective so I eventually chose to trust his professionalism. I am glad I have given him my trust because the outcome is just wonderful. They are balance and not outrageous now. I feel like I have earned more than the actual sum of money I paid. Now that my bruises are dissipated and the swelling is gone, I can even put on eye shadows. I have to be careful of course but with makeup on, my eyelids look even more natural, no joke. I think it is quite risky to recommend surgeons. I cannot afford any disclaimer if yours fail but I think Dr. BEDY LAU is a responsible surgeon who is worth considering.
I chose the option to have a surgery in town instead of flying to Korea. I sincerely regret my decision. Dr. Lau did not recommend the proper procedure ie. Epicanthoplasty and completely botched my eyelid surgery. I had no creases afterwards for 2 weeks following the surgery, when normally a crease should be apparent immediately afterwards. It was clear that the surgery was a failure but nothing could be done about it. I was told to wait for the swelling to subside but every day caused so much grief and anxiousness. I am more self-conscious now because of the scars, which are hypertrophic and have red bumps. Dr. Lau did not take my questions or concerns seriously and caused me a lot of pain during surgery and during stitch removal. For 3 months I lived with uneven eyes and now both creases have failed. I look like I did before surgery except with extra scar lines. Incision surgery is very hard to come undone, but for some reason with Dr. Lau it was very easy. It was all a complete waste of time and money and I will have to do the procedure over due to scarring. Dr. Lau is very inexperienced and unprofessional; he should not be doing plastic surgery.
