I have a great experience with the eyelid surgery Dr Allan did excellent job, I felt good with the surgery yesterday. I definitely recommend him, give 10 gold stars. Dr Allan has excellent hands in performance for plastic surgery, great surgeon.
If I can give a 10 star I would. I’m 2 months post tummy tuck , muscle repair, umbilical hernia repair and liposuction. Dr Eckhaus is amazing. I was scared of the surgery and at first visit I felt incredibly comfortable I had a bunch of questions and I didn’t even have to ask … he answered them all. Took his time , no rush , explained everything in detail. He is super friendly and has a good sense of humour. This awesome personality pairs with an amazing surgeon. I love my results and I’m so happy that I went ahead . The price is also reasonable. The surgery was not painful at all.

For a long time, i have had serious back pain, bras constantly breaking, and strap marks being left on my skin. I was very miserable, then i decided to speak with my family Doctor about the issues i was having. My family Doctor referred me to Dr. ECKHAUS. I met with Dr. ECKHAUS, who was surprisingly very friendly. Made me feel very comfortable and was very reassuring. I was very happy with his years of experience, his knowledge in the field, and the fact that all his staff are friendly and family oriented. His office is located in Ajax, Ontario, near Bayly and Hardwood, near Ajax hospital. His office is very professional, clean, and welcoming. His staff is very organized, and informative. I decided to go ahead with my surgery. I had my surgery July 24, 2019. Close to me surgery date, i was given instructions on all things i would need, and need to do. Such as, no eating or drinking past 12:00am day before surgery. I had blood work done. I bought extra pillows, and took a month off work. My surgery was done very quickly, i went in at 12:00 noon, was out by 3:00pm. I was put to sleep, woke up, as if nothing happened. Was not in any pain, however, i had to avoid anything that would allow my body to bump up and down. My under arms where very stiff, and hard to move in the up down left or right position. I was able to walk around fine, however, nothing was done with my upper body for 2 weeks. I bath at least once a day, pad dry any wounds. I used Polysporin ointment with 3 antibiotics in ointment. I avoid sleeping on my breast, back only. I was prescribed pain killer for 1 week, and antibiotics. After 3 weeks all my wounds where nearly closed and healed. My left boob healed quickly with no problems, no scaring, however my right boob had healed slower. I was in process of moving, with no one to help, had to paint back old apartment, this the stitches on my right boob opened back up. I had feeling in my right nipple on the boob that was slowly healing, however i had not feeling in my boob that had quickly healed. Dr. Eckhaus advised, in time the other nipple would regain its nerve sensation, it just takes time. My right open would was not stitched back up after it opened, to avoid enclosing bacteria inside the body, that could spread, hence leaving it open, it would clean repair and close itself. I just needed to wash with soap and water once a day, pad dry, and add non-stick gauge pads. I did a lot of resting, if you do not need to go out, avoid doing any lifting or chores, this will help speed up recovery, as i had to learn the hard way. My doctor checked me every week, then every two weeks, then every 3 week, then every 4week, to ensure i was healing well. I am very impressed with my surgeon, as he treated me with such care, and ensured to answer all my questions. My breast are a lot smaller, i have minimal back pain, feel is such a relief. The shape of your breast will be weird box shape at first, however as you heal, your breast will form shape. I am very happy with my results, and i am still healing, and seeing great results everyday. I would not use any Surgeon other than Dr. Eckhaus, as everything i could want in a surgeon, he has check off. I am not being paid for this review, but i have to let you guys know he is one of the best and results look great!

I am currently Day 4 post op. Just left my surgeon’s office for my first post op visit since my most recent surgery. He took off my compression garment and told me to put it back on when I feel ready. I am going to wait a few days until the incisions close more - getting the garment on and off is really difficult. He was able to remove 8 ponds during surgery. Included in that was some revision lipo from my 360 (2 years post op). You can see in the “before” pictures the areas circled that had some left over fluid. I am so so thrilled and excited but very immobile right now. Trying to lower my dose of pain medications off of the narcotics and stick mainly to Tylenol and Advil. Updated on 18 Oct 2018: Feeling more mobile today. I am able to get myself up from SOME seated positions. I am also able to very slowly get up the stairs with some help from the banister and side shuffling lol I have finally gone to the washroom now (twice), and with the help of a natural laxative I have been taking daily, a litre of pear juice and lots of fruit, it wasn’t nearly as bad as it was for my 360. I am now totally weaned off of my narcotics and taking maximum doses of Tylenol and Advil instead. I am still taking the laxative daily and I’m working to finish up my antibiotic. I still have not put my compression garment on. I am off of work for another 3 weeks (which I will need). My legs are still very very swollen and bruised. I am sleeping exclusively on my back still. Very sore and still comfortable to do most things. I’ve had one shower since surgery and it wiped me out completely. I napped for almost 2 hours after. My best advice is to not underestimate the power of rest and how tired you will be. Drink lots of fluids and don’t over do it. I am so bored at this point and want to get up and do chores but I’m resisting. Updated on 20 Oct 2018: Woke up to a lot more swelling gone! ???? Updated on 24 Oct 2018: It’s getting much easier to get up and down now. I am not driving yet (my car is standard), but I am off of all pain meds. I attempted to get my compression garment on this morning but it was so tight and hard to do alone that it started to hurt my incisions with all the pulling and I said “forget it” . My surgeon said to put it back on when I’m ready and I am thinking that is going to be when I go back to work (3 weeks after surgery). The tape is starting to come off on it’s own, loose pieces I am cutting off with clean scissors. I have an appointment next week to get the rest taken off by my surgeon. I will take more pictures soon! :) Updated on 25 Oct 2018: As promised, an updated pic from this morning :) Bruising is still there and swelling on the upper and back of my legs (& knees), but most of the “bulk” is coming down. Updated on 26 Oct 2018: Not of my tapes I took off/came off this morning. Everything was very wet and stinky under the tapes. I took before and after a shower pictures to show the incisions. There is a red spot I am concerned about on my right leg. I have emailed my PS and am awaiting his response, perhaps a repeat of antibiotics? My skin had started to grow into the surgical tape, I am really happy most of it is off. I have a follow up anyway at my PS office in 4 days but until then I am planning lots of rest and air for my legs! Updated on 28 Oct 2018: I am moving around a little better, more and more with each day. The incisions are drying up now that the air is at them and some of the older scabs are falling off. My right leg now is leaking in a few spots where the red section was in my previous pics - not infected just watery, red fluid with no smell. I tried on some blue leg wraps in hope that They wold be comfortable for 3 weeks post op (when I return back to work). I didn’t like the sensation of my legs being confined but I have more time for the swelling to go down before I should wear them. Going grocery shopping for the first time since surgery today. Wish me luck, that’s a lot of walking. Updated on 30 Oct 2018: Saw my surgeon today. The red spot on my right leg needed some infected stitches removed. I have now started a second antibiotic. I am also taking an additional week off of work. After the stitches were removed, the incision drained a lot more. He said everything is looking great otherwise. I can’t wait to get healed and back to normal :) Updated on 2 Nov 2018: 3 weeks today! I am almost finished round two of the antibiotics and the first round of Cipro that was added to my recovery on Tuesday. I have a few small, open spots still but all and all the incisions are really drying out and closing. My goal is to start driving this weekend and get my compression garment on the weekend after (4 weeks post op). Added a before and a “today” shot to compare. Still lots of swelling on the inside/top of my legs but that will go with the garment. Updated on 11 Nov 2018: I used coconut oil on my incisions for the first time since surgery. I had been meticulously drying them out after showers and keeping everything off them, but my legs were SO dry. The scabs, the skin, everything was flakey and scales. So I put Polysporin on the open parts and the oil on the rest. A lot of the old, hard scabs fell off over night and the open spots oozed - it really seemed to help move things along and help drain. This pics were first thing in the morning and after a shower. I am supposed to be back to work this Wednesday, so I am going to keep up with this regiment and cross my fingers that the incisions finally start to make some real progress. Updated on 12 Nov 2018: Another night under my belt (still sleeping on my back). The open spots really responded to another dose of coconut oil and polysporin. Makes me wish I had started this sooner rather than follow the common instructions of keeping them absolutely dry. I also did charged foot bath. These things get mixed reviews but what everyone seems to agree on is that they DO stimulate your lymph system which is what I desperately want to get some of my swelling down. The picture provided is my results after 40 minutes. Two more days until I’m back at work. I’m planning on taking both of them to rest as much s possible with my feet up. Updated on 15 Nov 2018: Yesterday was my first day back to work. I had a terrible time, swelled up like crazy and the open sections of my incisions got wider - so I’m home today and I forced myself into the garment. Updated on 16 Nov 2018: 5 weeks today, my second day back at work. Now in my compression garment 24/7. Open spots are closing and it is really helping with the swelling. I may start alternating between my two compressions and a pair of compression running pants I have to extend the rotation for laundry but we shall see :) Updated on 22 Nov 2018: I contacted my surgeon again today about my open incisions. They still aren’t closed. I sent him pictures and he called me. He said they really aren’t a concern. They look clean and healthy and will close in time. I have to be patient... sigh. I am to keep using my compression garments, keep the open incisions wet with Polysporin/coconut oil and cover with clean gauze (2x daily). I have a follow up appointment booked with him next week but I’m not counting on any change. Updated on 4 Dec 2018: Made the trip down the highway today for my 7.5 week check up. Took home some scar strips which I get to start on the closed areas. I also brought home a new compression garment (but a size down). The open areas I don’t have to use gauze on anymore (or Poly). He also cleared me for baths. The plan is to go back again in about 6 weeks and check out the scars and how they settled. We talked briefly about revision on a few areas but it’s too early to tell. I will upload some new pics soon :) Updated on 6 Dec 2018: Updated on 18 Dec 2018: I have another small spot opening up :( However, it isn’t requiring any special care - and I am now 100% out of my garments AND clothing is really starting to fit me much better! Updated on 22 Dec 2018: Picture of the dime sized hole that opened up (mentioned in my last update). It’s crusting over although I will still probably use a bit of poly as there is a bit of yellowed discharge.
I learned about Dr Eckhaus through my husband, who was a childhood friend . Went for consultation, and was immediately put at ease. He is highly qualified and clearly not a "churn" doctor, running patients in and out as fast as possible. After a vertical emergency c-sec many years ago, and a horizontal c-sec more recently, along with an 80 lb weight gain each pregnancy, my stomach is in rough shape. Tired of people attributing it to "fat" when the reality is it's jiggly blubbery skin that doesn't go away no matter how much weight I lose. Love my body, but tired of the tummy skin! Updated on 2 Apr 2017: Going in Wednesday morning, three more sleeps! Super excited, a little nervous/terrified, but all in all feeling good about this decision. Here's a few before pictures. I don't like the bikini but it's the only one I could find with a bottom as low as I'd like. Polka dots and bows aren't typically my style! No offence to those who love them. ;) I'm nearly at my goal weight of 150, was 152.8 this morning. Haven't seen that number for about 20 years! Been eating lots of egg whites, oatmeal, chicken, veggies, fruit, cottage cheese and berries. Easily lost this last 10 lbs once I wrapped my head around it. I've always worn a bikini regardless, but I'm really looking forward to no longer getting the "OMG look at her stomach" looks. I've picked up the post surgery meds, changed the sheets on our bed to an old set, got a foam wedge for sleeping, rearranged my bedside table, preparing to just sleep for 3-4 days to get through the worst of it. Bring it on! Updated on 4 Apr 2017: Night before surgery. Just a little nervous, prepping food like a mad woman! Everything is ready to go, and the only thing I'm worried about is the pain meds. I don't like being doped up and not fully alert, but I also want to be comfortable. Anyway, trying to just reassure myself that everything will be fine. Measurements: Waist 30", Belly Button 34", Upper Hips 36" Weight 151.6 lbs Updated on 5 Apr 2017: The procedure is over and I'm back home in my bed. I feel way better than I thought I would! Dr Eckhaus made me feel totally comfortable, answered my questions and assured that pain management wouldn't be an issue. The hospital staff was amazing too, the nurse caring for me was absolutely top notch. I've eaten a couple of small meals, drank a ton of water (so dry!) and have gotten up to pee a couple of times. No assistance needed but moving very slowly. I do expect that tomorrow and the next will be more challenging. So I'm totally prepared and organized. Really glad that I picked up a sleeping wedge. I have couple of drains that need to be emptied regularly. Only a minor nuisance Imo. Going to take a demerol go back to sleep now. Nighty night! Updated on 6 Apr 2017: Everything is a little more painful today, but still not as bad as I had anticipated. I can slowly get myself in and out of bed, go to the bathroom, empty the drains, no help needed. I slept well last night so hoping tonight will be the same. I'm sleeping on my back with a wedge and pillows, and a big couch cushion under my knees. Not much pain unless I move. Tomorrow I see the doc, hopefully he'll take these drains out. I'm worried I'll yank them out by accident. Updated on 7 Apr 2017: Drains are out and Dr Eckhaus says I'm doing great! Had my first peek under the binder and my belly button looks great! He said he took 1 litre of fat with the lipo and 1.5 lbs of skin. My stretch marks were really high so the are still up around my new belly button, I expected that though. As long as the jiggly jello is gone I'm happy. Haven't taken a pain pill since last night. Sleeping comfortably, just moving really slowly. Will take photos tomorrow when I can shower! Updated on 8 Apr 2017: Yesterday, I was surprised by a delivery of a small basket of get well treats from Dr Eckhaus' office. What a thoughtful gesture and much appreciated! Love blueberry jam... Yummy. Slept well again, this time with no pain meds other than advil. Woke up and the first thing I noticed was that I can get out of bed way easier! Off to the bathroom for a much needed number two and a shower, no assistance needed. I feel fantastic! So far this has been less painful, and the results better, than anticipated. Couldn't be happier today. Updated on 11 Apr 2017: On Sunday, day 4, I emailed Dr. Eckhaus about a red (but not painful) area on my stomach. He responded right away, and asked my to trace around it with a marker to see if it grows and asked me to come into the office Tuesday. Today is Tuesday, day six, and I've been in to see him. The red area did not grow, and is a weird blister on one of my stretchmarks because the blood supply isn't as good as it should be. However, it will be fine once it heals and he cleaned me up and send me on my way with a new binder. I still feel great, the only real pain is my back from walking hunched over. Only taking Advil and Tylenol. Going to try to walk straighter! Sleeping well, drinking lots of water, bowels moving, slowly, but at least they are moving. Can't wait to get healed up! Updated on 12 Apr 2017: Day seven, standing and walking pretty straight... no more back pain! I've been driving since yesterday, got groceries, cooked dinner. Pretty much back to normal, although moving slower than usual. I'm so happy with the entire process so far! Updated on 13 Jun 2017: So I'm almost 10 weeks out and feel completely normal. Back to all of my usual activities without a second thought. Only a tiny bit of swelling at night, but it's more of a feeling than anything that could be seen. Wish I had done this 20 years ago, but I know everything happens in it's own time. Last year, I had a breast lift and augmentation to correct pregnancy/breast feeding/massive weight loss. This year, I finally completed stage two! My lower body lift with the same surgeon. My surgery date was October 38/2016 and everything went great! The first week and a half I had a LOT of doubts, I significantly underestimated the pain but I have made huge progress this last week and am starting to feel like my old self again :) Updated on 15 Nov 2016: Visited Dr. Eckhaus yesterday, he said all my incisions look great. Retaped them until Saturday (22 days post op), at which time I will remove them and air out a few days. Updated on 15 Nov 2016: Skin is pretty dry and itchy from wearing the medical wrap 24/7. Swelling goes down a little every morning, I generally have to pee around 4am then again at 8 and again an hour later. Updated on 21 Nov 2016: 3 and a half weeks out! Back to work tomorrow. The scar is almost completely closed. I still wear the wrap 24/7, I like it the support it gives. I have started putting coconut oil on the incision and surrounding dry skin. The nipple revision is almost healed. I have spoken to my surgeon and he tells me the nipples will even out in size soon :) Lots of swelling still in my lower tummy and vagina. The swelling and soreness on my hips has gone way down. My belly button still has a very large scab on it. I tried to peel it away today and it started to bleed. Not ready yet! I am still up about 5/6 pounds worth of swelling. Updated on 25 Nov 2016: 4 weeks today. Returned to work this week. The first day I wore my wrap.. my second shift (yesterday), I left it off. That was a mistake. I bloated, my belly button hurt and I was really sore. I have it back on today. PS said I can stop wearing it now but I obviously need more time. Still have approx 5-7 pounds of swelling to loose. Incision looks good. It's closed everywhere with only a few small scabs left. Mons area still swollen but the drain sites are completely closed over and sensation is returning. Updated on 5 Dec 2016: Gone 4 days without the wrap at all! Still 5-6 pounds of swelling with it def worse at night plus I've been eating like crazy - must be feeling like my old self lol Updated on 12 Dec 2016: I have developed a stitch abscess on my left hip. Going to see my PS this Friday to get it cleaned up and fixed Updated on 21 Dec 2016: I saw my surgeon for the stitch abscess. He cleaned it up a bit it but said it was no cause for concern. It seems to be closing now and crusting over. Also me in undies! Yay! Lol still some swelling which is more noticeable at night and towards to middle/lower part of my stomach and back but over all I am very pleased with my progress! My weight is fluctuating and I am only down approx 4 to 5 pounds of the 11 that was taken off but my surgeon said it will take months for that to go down so I don't weigh in that often. I have shovelled snow twice, had some tightness and pain after the first time but back in the swing of things now. I am also back bowling, walking as normal and even laid on my stomach today while getting my legs waxed LOL Slow and steady, wins the race! Updated on 21 Dec 2016: During the last visit with my surgeon, he recommended I start putting a bead in my belly button to decrease the swelling of the hole. Also included the incision in the pic so you can see how well it is coming along! :) Updated on 11 Jan 2017: Eeeeek! I did it! For the first time in my life, I bought bikinis!!!! My belly button is still a dark red scar and my back is still pretty swollen but I took the plunge and went for it! Wish me luck actually getting up the guts to wear them LOL Updated on 20 Jan 2017: 12 weeks post op today! I go from having days with absolutely no swelling and almost a completely flat back and front and then I have days where I puff out. The back of me seems to be a little bit swollen today but all and all my abs become a little more visible everyday!
Dr. Eckhaus and staff were absolutely incredible. I felt comfortable from the moment I walked in the door. I was educated in choices to be made/options etc and what/how everything was going to happen before and after the procedures. Dr.Eckhaus truly cares about what he does and you know that his work is quality just from the way he talks to you. When you are on his office, you have his undecided attention! I cannot tell you how great an experience this was. He is absolutely phenomenal. Crazy to say, but my husband and I had a good time! He is very calming and professional. So very pleased we chose Dr. Eckhaus to conduct my surgery!! Thank you for changing my life!
The answer unfortunately is always "it depends...". While the photos are helpful, when contemplating a thigh lift (which entails liposuction and skin excision) vs liposuction alone, it is crucial to examine the patient and get a sense for the skin elasticity and whether the excess fat is in distinct deeper pockets (like the outer thighs) or whether it is diffuse and superficial. Liposuction on the thighs work best when the fat is deeper and more to the outside of the thighs (the risk of skin contour abnormalities following surgery goes down). Liposuction alone may be sufficient, but if done aggressively or if skin abnormalities are present following the procedure, then a thigh lift (skin excision) can be performed as a second stage. I'm glad that you used the word "qualified" in your question. This means that you are on the right track and that that you are likely already aware that the most important pre-consultation research that you can do is to make sure that you are seeing a board certified plastic surgeon. Following this, it is always helpful to get recommendations from friends who have seen a particular plastic surgeon as this can give you good insight into how the entire experience may go. From your photos, I would speak to your plastic surgeon about the differences between a tummy tuck and a body lift (circumferential tummy tuck) and how these address the flank area. I would also encourage you to see post op photos of a medial thigh lift as this procedure can leave quite a visible scar. Best of luck,
Often the compression garment is enough for both thigh compression and abdominal wall support and compression following a mini tummy tuck and thigh liposuction. If however, a patient feels that the compression garment is not very snug then an abdominal binder can be added for additional support. I would caution to ensure that you don't put it on too tight. It should be supportive but not constrictive. Meaning that it should not limit your ability to take in deep breaths and it should not limit your mobility. That being said, it is always best to consult your plastic surgeon in these situations. All the best,
Fat transfer is done with a blunt cannula with fat placed in the layer just underneath the skin and around the breast tissue. While it is possible to rupture the implants with the cannula, it can often be done safely with the right technique. You would need to find a board certified plastic surgeon who specializes in fat transfer to the breast. There are other options available to patients in your situation such as- 1. removing the implants and using fat transfer alone (though this often requires multiple surgeries to achieve the end result) 2. using smaller or "more natural" implants Ultimately you should see a plastic surgeon in your area to discuss what options would be best for you. There are a number of techniques available. In a traditional tummy tuck, your original belly button is released from the skin and left attached at the stalk to the underlying abdominal wall. Once the excess skin and fat are excised, the original belly button is brought out through a new opening in the skin (there are even different techniques for how this opening is made). This leaves a scar around the belly button. In a mini tummy tuck, a belly button scar can often be avoided if the skin and fat excised is kept below the level of the belly button.
