I have finally made the decision to focus on me and getting myself together. My focus hasn't been on me. I have neglected myself and I am no longer doing that. I have made a life decision to have weight loss surgery. I will be having a vertical sleeve gastrectomy also known as vsg. I will be traveling to Tijuana, Mexico to have surgery. I have chosen Mexico Bariatric Center. My surgeon will be Dr. Alejandro Gutierrez. I am super excited about getting sleeved. As of today, I have not set a date. I am thinking about going in mid August. I will be officially setting a date in less than 10 days. A little background, I am 27. I am 5"10. I only have 1 child. I am currently 285. My body seems to like that weight. I have lose about 30+ pounds on keto, but of course I gained it all back. I am tried of the yo-yo dieting. I am a homemaker, so I'm home all the time. I am cooking and cleaning a lot, so I really don't exercise. I will exercise, but like I stated earlier, I wasn't focused on me. I am now!! My goal weight is 175-180. I think that is achievable. I am excited and READY! HW: 295 CW: 285 GW: 175-180 Updated on 6 Apr 2020: I want to give you more background on my eating habits. I am not a heavy meal eater. I eat a normal meal. I love fruits and vegetables. I will eat just about any vegetables. I don’t really like meat, I prefer seafood. I am however, a big sweet eater. I can go all day without eating a meal and just snack all day. I like to eat cheesecake, white cheddar popcorn, butter pecan ice cream, and little Debbie snacks. I don’t drink soda. If I have a soda it will be Sprite Zero. I sometimes like flavored water, but I usually only drink water. I like the keto diet because it stops me from eating all that sugar. I see results, but again I don’t like a lot of meat. With a high sugar diet and no exercise, I have dug a hole for myself. I am determined to get OUT! I don’t take any medications, but I know if I continue on this path, I will be! I do take some natural things such as black seed oil, chlorophyll, and probiotics. I also take collagen sometimes. That’s about it! I have add some photos of myself in the past few years! Age: 27 5”10 HW:295 CW: 285 GW: 175-180 Updated on 8 Apr 2020: I am so excited! I paid my deposit for my vsg surgery. The deposit was $350. I also went ahead and booked my flight. I will be having surgery August 21, 2020. I only need to purchase my passport and finish paying the remaining balance. With Mexico Bariatric Center, they offer free webinars with their surgeons about every month or so. With each webinar, one person get $2,000 off their surgery, but you have to use the surgeon at the webinar. Guess who won?? Yours truly! I won! I couldn’t believe it. It was like god was speaking to me. I never won anything, so to win I knew I was making the right decision. With the $2,000 discount, I have $2800 to left to pay. I have paid $350 for deposit to book surgery, so I’m left with $2450. I am super excited! I know my life will change forever in a few months and I’m ready! I do want to try and lose some weight before my surgery, maybe about 16 pounds. Well, that’s it for now! Updated on 30 Jun 2020: I have 37 days till my pre-op diet is to start. I have been eating what I want freely. During the pandemic I have gain 25 pounds! I’m not mad about it. Tomorrow(July 1), I will be starting keto or low carb. I want to try and lose those 25 pounds. I know how to get rid of the 25 pounds, it’s the actual doing part that gets me! I am so excited for my upcoming journey. I know there will be tough days and miserable days, but I know results will be worth it. I tried to move my surgery date up, but my doctor was completely booked. Well on that note, I have 50 days until I board the plane! It’s getting real! Stay tuned... Updated on 23 Jul 2020: I have 28 day till I bored the plane to California! I am super excited. I didn’t start a low carb/keto diet. I have been doing intermittent fasting as long as possible. It has helped a lot; During this pandemic, I was the highest weight I ever been (309). I knew I gained weight, but seeing a 3 on the scale so shocking. I weighted myself this morning, and I’m at 290. By Aug 20, I hope to be at least 275. I haven’t started packing yet! I know I have several things I need to buy such as compression socks, meds, and comfort things. Well, that’s about it for the update. See you guys later! I did horrible on the pre-o diet. I maybe followed it for 3 days. I'm so hungry right now! Update you later!
