Dr. Summers is a good plastic surgeon that helped me with my saline breast implant removal and replacement procedure. When I arrived at his office, the receptionists were caring and professional. They answered all my questions. When I first made my appointment, Kim, one of the staff, listened to my story and the procedure I wanted to get done. She was really informative and helpful. When I first met Dr. Summers, he was really knowledgeable and explained to me about what would be the best choice for me and my situation. I told him I wanted full cleavage and a different shape. He explained to me what he could do for me based on my anatomical shape and the saline implants. I am happy and amazed at the results. Although they were saline implants, he did the best he could to achieve the results I wanted. The price for both procedure were reasonable. The after care and follow ups were excellent. The incision was done below the breast. There is no scar or redness. You can’t tell there were stitches. That’s how good both incisions looked within two weeks. I had a good experience because the rooms are relaxing with calming music, dim lights, and waiting room for family. Dr. Summers is warming and made me feel comfortable. Thanks to Dr. Summers, I feel confident and happy with my appearance. I am glad I chose Dr. Summers to help me with my procedure.
Been wanting a more curvier version of myself for years but haven't had the will power to do it until now.had the procedure done and am loving the results so far just hoping that the fluffing stage will occur soon.lipo of my stomach was a plus when choosing this procedure because no matter what exercises that I could have done would have given me any results like this. Updated on 25 Jul 2016: Not the best sorry Updated on 25 Jul 2016: I knew I didn't have a lot going on back there so I was happy to get as round as I could but still keeping my hips Updated on 25 Jul 2016: ive been undecided if I wanted to post my journey because some of these girls on here seem to have better results than me plus as of today I'm less then a week out from having the bbl surgery done so I've been trying to adjust to the hell of being uncomfortable.so I will be posting the exact post op day with each posting???? Updated on 25 Jul 2016: Adam summers staff is very pleasant and getting an initial consultation only took about a month to get In and it was free. He took my measurements and explained all the complications that could come of this as well as what was possible.i received my quote and booked the same day for surgery.i do want to mention I have no intention of being supper small with curves I want to look proportionate with curves that had always been lacking. Updated on 25 Jul 2016: Updated on 25 Jul 2016: Including all the things that were bought and the surgery itself was 9,000.i believe the price was actually 8,500 for the bbl and this is high because I wanted to be put fully under which I regretted when I woke up from surgery.here is a list of the things I did buy: *arnica gel & lotion *arnica pills *bbl pillow *lumbar support pillow *assurance pads xl *4 lipo foam pads(bought 3 at first then two days later ordered another for the gaps that were in the compression garment) *2 loose shorts *2 night gowns *water retention pills *urinal (never used) *5 extra firm control camisoles with built in bra wife free Updated on 25 Jul 2016: I had plenty of time to lose some weight before surgery for better results but with work, school and my nine year old girl it became impossible.i chose to have lipo from my stomach & love handles not my thighs (my husband would have cried if I had my thighs touched). Updated on 25 Jul 2016: My surgery was on July 19,2016 and I wasn't too nervous until I got at the office.they immediately took me in and locked the doors due to the fact I was the first patient of the day but then I sat in the room until the nurse,Doctor and anesthesiologist came in within 20 mins of each other to go over information with me.i was taken into the surgery room around 930(got there at 8) and prepared.the nervousness kicked in as I was getting bathed in antibacterial soap.its wasn't to long I think about 25 mins then the anesthesiologist came in with the good stuff and lights out! Updated on 25 Jul 2016: It's fun going to sleep not so fun waking up.i woke up propped up somehow feeling sick as crap.i struggled waking up which I have never before so note to self no more going fully under unless it's necessary(they had given me antibiotics, pain pills and a pill for nausea pre hand which I was taking the antibiotics and the one pill two hours directed to take before surgery).the nurse was so nice and caring.i got two doses of anti nausea medicine through my iv which helped a little but what really helped was waving alcohol pads in my face, amazing that that helped me more then medicine.after forcing myself to wake up my husband helped me into the jeep which I lied on my side on the way home.no pain at this point just feeling like I wanted to throw up. Updated on 25 Jul 2016: I used my pain pills when I got home and walked around once every hour for about 10 mins, ate pretzels and drank ginger ale.still was sick most of the night and then surprise I got my period.getting up to change a tampon every couple hours will cause pain. Updated on 25 Jul 2016: I feel asleep later that night to wake up feeling stiff and in pain.there wasn't much sleep happening because I could not get comfortable and it was hell laying back down after being up.i felt better walking around then I did laying down.thank goodness that I didn't have to wear a full compression garment like I've seen a lot of ladies using nor did I have a drainage tub all I have to wear was a support for my waist. Updated on 25 Jul 2016: Updated on 25 Jul 2016: If your bed is to high use a small step stool.wear baggy pants they help you scoot back once you painfully are trying to lay back down.carefully lay down and if you don't you will feel sharp pain if you do this to fast.set and alarm on your phone to remind you to walk around and take pain pills if needed.never lay back down if your feeling to stiff it will only cause more discomfort. Updated on 25 Jul 2016: My suggestion to everyone when choosing a surgeon chose carefully.use different search engines when looking up there names and use them on different browsers.your body is not to be trusted with anyone and even if you can get a consolation with your preferred Doctor make multiple ones (with decent search results) before deciding.make a list of questions on your notepad on your phone as they pop into your head! Updated on 25 Jul 2016: Because of the garment which I didn't know at the time has to be moved every so often swelling can happen every where including the lady parts Updated on 25 Jul 2016: After going to my next day apointment and given the OK to where the lipo pads I noticed that later on I was experiencing pain where the lipo foams were gapping so my husband and I ordered another one which took three days to get here.me being me and being hard headed over did the walking and felt really bad around the incision area later on.the next day i noticed blood coming from one of my incisions and went right to he Doctor(after calling and getting told to just come in ASAP).i thought I had busted a stitch but turns out from walking around in the heat the bad aid caused irritation plus because I did not have drainage tubes that this was normal, thank god!i was told to use gauze and sensitive tape to place over the incisions as well as avoid the heat so I have been doing that.it sucks that this Garment from getting up and down so much rubs the stomach the wrong way.dont walk to much because you will be as equally as swollen from lying down to much.i started taking water pills three a day spilt up to avoid taking the chance of getting Sermoa. Updated on 25 Jul 2016: Updated on 25 Jul 2016: Brusing soooo bad with some swelling Updated on 25 Jul 2016: So not sleeping well minus the other night when I took two sleeping gummies which was a bad idea due to the over stiffness when waking up after four hours.im still really bruised and tired of sleeping on my stomach,my arms hurt so bad there is no where to place them besides under you when your sleeping.i have myself on a regular eating, taking pills, walking, bathing as well as arnica rub down schedule to give my body some regularity.does anyone know about this so called fluffing stage I feel like I can see the bump in the top part of my butt and can't wait for it to drop as well as become soft.another idea is to take fiber gummies the day after surgery so that the time you can hold yourself up over the toilet they would have kicked in to let you go naturally.i have the air at 66 because this waist clincher is hot as.....so the cooler then better. Updated on 25 Jul 2016: Is that true that the butt will get bigger then smaller as well as the waist getting smaller over time????does anyone know the right brand and size for a waist trainer my sizes are 35,37,44 please help I'm lost with the sizing on these things and when is a safe time to start???
The surgery itself and the days / week after was exactly as Dr. Summers had told me it would be, but with one exception......I had no idea that I was going to look so great just a week after surgery!!!! I experienced no bruising, minimal swelling and very manageable pain / discomfort for a couple of days after the procedure. It is now almost two weeks post surgery and I am thrilled with the results. Thank you Dr. Summers and staff for your expertise and high level of care.
Never had anything injected or "done" before so this was a first. I got it a year ago and have since had 3 more treatments. It lasts about 5 months for me. The first time I had it injected I felt a little sick to my stomach and foggy. My eyebrows drooped a little too. When I went back to my dr and told him what I was unhappy with he made some notes and said he'd do it alittle differently next time. He did..and it was amazing. I love it. I look more refreshed. It also takes away the tension headaches I have had for years. The price is not bad at all when you consider for me it lasts almost 6 months. Make sure you go to a reputable and experienced dr. THAT makes all the difference. I am glad I found the right doctor in the beginning, otherwise it may have caused me to have a bad experience and then I'd never know the great benefits of Dysport.
Went for neck lift and he suggested the lower face smart lift with the neck lift which I did. He removed small amount of fat from my chin which really wasn’t an issue at all for me since I’ve always had a very thin face and never even noticed any fat in my chin but he said it would give a more defined jaw line and agreed since I thought he was the professional. $10,000 later my chin is completely disfigured which he refused to acknowledge any wrongdoing and proceeds to tell me after several follow ups that that’s a normal part of aging and I would further need a skin tightening procedure which would cost an additional $2,000. That’s funny I’ve never seen someone’s chin completely disfigure as normal part of aging. There was nothing wrong with my chin before the procedure. Needless to say he never took any after photos to compare before and afters every follow up he said we’ll wait till next time. The worst mistake I ever made in my life was having a procedure done by Dr. Summers.
I had lipo for my 30th bday on my stomach. I was woken up and pushed out the back door in soooooo much pain. The tight wrap i had to wear started to form hoe my stomach was looking. It rode up a lot so u can see the indent. My stomach went from chubby to lumps n all uneven everywhere. Dont go there!
I had fat transfer procedure to the face with Adams Summer at Glenn Burnie. Right after coming out of anethesia I was handed a mirror and I immediately expressed my dissatisfaction in the placement of the fats. He wouldnt even listen, stating that it is only swelling, meanwhile the area I wanted fat to be transfered to remained flat and the rest of my face was very puffy. Its been one year and I look like a disfigured chimpmunk. My face is very assymetrical and I have lumpy area all over where he transffered to. I still cannot get over the fact that I was robbed of my hard earned money. I would advice who ever is considering plastic surgery to do a whole lot of research and not be swayed by some unskilled sweet talking "plastic surgeon".
I am writing this review 7 years post my first revision, and 6 years post the second revision with Dr. Summers. Neither surgeries provided the outcomes I expressed and was hoping for. I ended up with a 3rd and 4th revision (with different doctors) to correct the mistakes of Dr. Summers. He dissected too much cartilage and my nose ended up droopy with many asymmetries. I've lived with these issues for over 6 years and finally decided to let the Real Self community know my feelings to hopefully prevent someone else from making my same mistakes. I don't want to bash Dr. Summers, he may be a great surgeon for other types of plastic surgery, but bottom line he is not a facial plastic surgeon and is not skilled enough to handle complex rhinoplasty revisions. I did not do enough research and he told me all the things I wanted to hear. He also did not do computer simulations, so I had no idea if we were on the same page for my goals. I have learned the hard way what to look for in a revision rhinoplasty surgeon, please, if you are seeking a revision, make sure you consult with a Facial Plastic Surgeon, board certified or better yet, double board certified in facial plastic surgery!
The nurse injected me with Dysport and ever since I have had major issues. He would only see me if I paid a 100.00 office visit. Very uncaring and not concerned about the patients well being. Very disgusted that money was more important then making sure I was ok. Dont advise this practice because if things go wrong you will be charged.
When correctly performed, the thread lift procedure can certainly provide nice results in elevating the cheeks and jowls. Many patients even see improvement in their upper neck (under the chin region). However, the mid-neck to lower neck are really not adequately treated with the thread lift procedure. In my opinion, the thread lift sutures are simply not strong enough to withstand the daily forces of constant head turning. As Dr. Trimas has noted, liposuction and minor skin exicision procedures can be helpful. However, in patients with crepey neck skin, a skin rejuvenation procedure with radoifrequency therapy (eg. Thermage or Accent) and/or fractional laser treatments can be quite helpful. We have also used laser liposuction (SLIM Lipo or SMART Lipo) to heat the tissues during the liposuction procedure and obtain tightening of the overlying skin. In the event the muscles of the neck are "banding", your best bet is going to be a procedure that modfiies the muscles in the neck -- several options are available based on your anatomy. Bottom line: In my opinion, patients shouldn't undergo a thread lift suture suspension procedure to treat the mid-to-lower neck region.
The sutures used for the "threadlift" procedure are permanent (non-absorbable) sutures. These sutures are adherent to the soft tissue, resulting in a permanent suspension of the treated tissues. The "Contour Threadlift" procedure advocated use of an inadequate number of sutures for the procedure, an inadequate mechanism for securing the sutures, and inappropriate post-op care -- all of this has resulted in many of the Contour Threadlift patients experiencing a lack of long term results due to loosening of the suspension sutures. However, when each of the above issues is appropriately addressed, the threadlift procedure can provide very long term beneficial results (measured in years). And, because the sutures are permanent, they will always be holding the facial soft tissue up...thus, always providing some support against future aging.
As Dr. Papel has noted, it is quite possible for your insurance to cover the septoplasty portion of the procedure. You should ask your surgeon to clearly deliniate the start and stop time of the septoplasty in their records, as well as showing both the septoplasty and rhinoplasty charges on your bill. I recommend that you have a physician other than your rhinoplasty surgeon document the fact that you have breathing problem attributable to a deviated septum. Then, ask your insurance company for "pre-authorization" to have the septoplasty. In this way, you will have covered all the bases and optimized your chance of having the septoplasty portion of your procedure reimbursed.
I have been performing Thermage treatments for about 6 years. Obviously, I believe in the technology and, "yes", I have seen good results from the treatments. During this time, I have tried a number of different protocols to help my patients obtain the best possible results. The patients who acheive the best results are in need of just a bit of skin tightening -- in this case the results from one or two Thermage treatments appear to last about 12-24 months. Unfortunately, Thermage treatments are limited in what can be achieved...For example, patients with very loose skin or very thin skin tend to be disappointed with the results that are obtained. In my opinion, a patient who desires to see significant improvement in the appearance of a "turkey neck" will need to look at other procedures that can deliver more than what Thermage can do.
