I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Goodman! He performed a perineal plasty, labia plasty, and clitoral hood reduction, and at just three weeks post-op, I’m already so impressed with the results. It looks so much better already, and I couldn’t be happier. After a difficult birth a year ago, this procedure has given me my confidence back. If you’re considering something like this, I highly recommend Dr. Goodman. He’s truly amazing, and I’m so grateful he’s still practicing!”
I cannot thank Dr Goodman, Nicole, and his team enough for their help!! I found Dr Goodman after searching online. My issues stem from a uterine defect and required a specialist beyond standard OBGYN. There were no doctors (OBGYN or Plastic) in the Toronto area that I felt had the expertise and I didn’t feel comfortable with them operating on me. Not only did they lack expertise, but they brushed me off. There were times I felt extremely hopeless. I wasn’t sure I would travel so far, but regardless I made the consult with Dr Goodman. He spent an hour on the phone with me, answering all of my questions. He was able to point out my problems via photo, something some doctors here couldn’t see in person! I ended up travelling to him and it was the best decision I made. His team is so kind and accommodating. They answered all of my questions and gracefully handled my anxiety with travelling for a surgery during the pandemic. I had internal/external skin removal, as well as some cosmetics. It would have been two surgeries in Canada (one under anesthesia), and he handled it in one with local anesthetic. The surgery went perfectly. It has been a few months and I am almost completely healed. Dr Goodman is available to answer any questions post surgery, and the follow-ups have been helpful. I wrote this review to help anyone who needed to make this decision. Women’s Health can be a sensitive topic. I give Dr Goodman and his team the highest regard. They are professional, kind, knowledgeable, and skilled. Thank you Dr Goodman, Nicole, and the team!!
I am finally scheduled for my Labiaplasty! I have done so much extensive research and I am very excited to get the survey done by the doctor I trust. My surgery is Friday the 28th of January. Here are some pictures of the before. Updated on 28 Jan 2022: The day has come! I’m so very happy! I cannot wait to see the final results after everything heals up. I will keep taking pictures to show day by day recovery :) Updated on 28 Jan 2022: Enjoy :) Updated on 28 Jan 2022: Updated on 29 Jan 2022: Vagina right after surgery back at my hotel. Updated on 29 Jan 2022: My cute vagina Day 1 Post Op. A little nervous it’s uneven on the bottom left side. I noticed more labia was taken from bottom left than on right. Let’s hope it evens out. It’s pretty significant. Updated on 30 Jan 2022: I am extremely itchy today! This is the first time I’ve felt that. I am doing everything in my power not to itch. Icing helps it! I’ve been icing every 2 hours and laying down with legs up under pillows and butt under a pillow too. I have this spray for itchiness as well. Haven’t had to take Norco at all today. Just finishing up my Toradol. (Anti-inflammatory) and Arnica (helps with swelling). Noticed some slight yellow drainage as well. Hoping that just healing and not getting infected. Noticing small bumps along the incision hoping that will all smooth out. Updated on 31 Jan 2022: Very very itchy. Still icing every two hours religiously. I know I shouldn’t look at it everyday, but I want to document this journey. On my last day of Toradol and haven’t needed any Norco. Not understanding what these random little bumps are along my incision, but they better be gone after it heals lol. I’m trusting the process and my doctor. Updated on 6 Feb 2022: Bumpy but that’s to be expected until full healing. Updated on 11 Feb 2022: Updated on 18 Feb 2022: I still see bumps and still uneven and noticeable to me. Still being very patient :) Updated on 20 Feb 2022: I finally carefully shaved my Polly pocket ;) I’m just patiently waiting these bumps to go down. You can’t really see them in this pic. I’m ready to be fully healed!! Updated on 20 Feb 2022: Carefully shaved my Polly pocket ;)
Throughout my consultation the staff and Dr Goodman were kind and patient answering all my questions. The procedure was fast and essentially painless. Dr Goodman's medication regimen for recovery ensured that I had almost no pain and fast healing.
I will start by saying that Dr. Goodman was very professional and personable. During my consultation, he listened to all of my concerns and explained what I should expect. I traveled from Maryland to have Dr. Goodman perform my surgery. I chose Dr. Goodman based on his expertise and experience. Dr. Goodman and his staff far surpassed my expectations. They really care about their patients. I am extremely satisfied with my results, and it's only post-op day16. I can't wait to see the final outcome.
Well, where do I begin. Dr. Goodman is the most kind hearted and respectful Dr I’ve ever met! I recently got labiaplasty and perineoplasty, and the process and procedures were very smooth. Dr. Goodman is very welcoming and listens to exactly what you want from your surgery. Being that I had two kids, I did have some things that I wanted changed. Dr. Goodman was very knowledgeable and respectful both in and out of the procedure room. He made me feel very comfortable and listened to every question and concern that I had. as he answered them all. I’m so happy with the outcome of my procedure and it’s exactly what I envisioned. I am now no longer self conscious down there! I would recommend anyone and everyone to go see him. Wether it me for labiaplasty, vaginal rejuvenation or Botox! Thank you for everything Dr. Goodman!
I came in for a labiaplasty consultation in the beginning of this year. I felt very comfortable sharing my concerns and expectations with Dr. Goodman. He was very pleasant, respectful, knowledgeable, and attentive during our conversation. I knew immediately that he was the best and most experienced surgeon to do labiaplasty! Two months later, I had the surgery done at Dr. Goodman’s facility. Since I had local anesthesia, I felt a little nervous being awake during the surgery. However, I didn’t feel any pain or discomfort during surgery except for the injections to numb the area. I had a quick surgery (approximately 30-45 minutes) and was able to walk, sit, urinate without feeling any major discomfort or pain. I had some minor bruising on the labia and bleeding for 1-3 days. After one week post-surgery, I felt great! I experienced some tenderness and sensitivity for about 3-4 weeks. By the sixth week, I was able to return to my regular workouts (running and Pilates). I also want to thank Dr Goodman’s staff. They were all wonderful!!
My experience with Dr. Goodman was top-tier. With COVID, we were unable to do an in-person consultation so what we did was I sent photos and then scheduled a phone consultation. Dr. Goodman was so sweet and made me feel really comfortable. This was something I wanted to do for a really long time, but I was hesitant because I assumed it would be awkward and painful. He explained in heavy detail exactly what he would be doing. I went forward with the procedure and it went so smoothly! It wasn't painful, the recovery was very doable and overall I am really happy with my results! I definitely recommend Dr. Goodman.
About 10 weeks post Vaginoplasty & perinioplasty done by Dr. Goodman. Dr. Goodman has a very nice way to treat his patients & explains everything extra well. Even the staff is very good. Vaginoplasty being done without general anesthesia is also good & has great value in knowing how tight or which muscle is being pulled or joined. However the results in my case are a 'nothing'. I had expected a drastic change by going through Vaginoplasty vs a laser rejuvenation, but really I am still loose. I am told that my muscle tone is poor & needs working upon with Pelvic PT (I am 42 years old and have had 2 kids vaginally). The PT told me she cannot guarantee great results or tightness but can say that leaks may stop. :( Even though I like Dr. Goodman a lot & his staff I am not happy with my results which could really be me & my muscle tone. I am normal built, do yoga & exercise & now Pelvic PT every other week along with using Apex for strengthening the pelvic floor. But seems like pelvic floor strength may NOT be associated with tightness which is why I had gone through the procedure. Procedure is NOT pain free. It was a very hard 2 weeks...the pain killer induced constipation & the hemorrhoids that came along with it made me cry. I was miserable but fought through it, with no results to show. DR. Goodman said he will see me in 3 months again after me having done enough PT & then re evaluate which I am looking forward to & trying to be hopeful of. Im not the one to give up & can post a update in a few months. Take care all.
I'm the mother of 4 ranging from 14 to 7. Blessing for certain but after 4 vaginal births, they've done a number on my body. I've struggled with my body for years, something's even before becoming a mother. I had excess labia that left me feeling subconscious and could 'get in the way' at times. Delivery left me loose and with a prolapse that made even having a bowel movement difficult at times. Sex wasnt as satisfying via penetration as it was before babies. So after much debate I decided to get the works. I scheduled my surgery with Dr Goodman for a complete rejuvenation. I had labiaplasty, vaginoplasty, a clitoral hood reduction and perineoplasty. Going into it I was terrified surgery would end up leaving me unhappy but realself helped me pick an outstanding doctor and team. Doctor Goodman made me feel amazing. He understood my concerns, never trivialized how I felt about my body, and was honest about what could be done. The ladies in the office were also so wonderful and I never felt ignored or uncomfortable. The day of surgery I knew exactly what was going on and was made to feel as comfortable as possible. I had surgery in office, under local anesthesia. Surgery went very smooth, but afterwards there were some pain issues due to correcting the prolapse. Doctor Goodman was right there easy to answer questions and even squeeze me in for an extra follow up to make sure everything was okay. The first few days were not comfortable and I dubbed my vagina 'frakencoochie' during that first week. But I followed all the rules, didnt mess with it at all, rested, stayed on ice and waited it out. Today was my 6week post op appointment and I have to say, I couldn't be more happy. It's the most amazing thing I've ever seen! My vagina is like new, my lips are nice and small, delicate looking like I've always wished. The bulging prolapse is gone. Everything is tight and beautiful looking. For the first time in 16 yrs of marriage, I want my husband to see my vagina. Doctor Goodman and staff may not realize it, but they gave me my life back! I feel so confident ! I no longer feel selfconscious and inadequate. I would do this all again in a heartbeat. My only regret is I didn't do it sooner.
In my opinion, the best revision technique for you would be what I (in Sacramento, CA) call "airbrushing," and what Dr. Red Alinsod (in Dallas) would term "feathering." (Same thing.) This is a procedure where a radiofrequency needle is used as a "brush" to, layer-by-layer, "brush off" the surface irregularity, allowing new, smoother skin to form underneath. I suspect there are other practitioners around experienced in this technique. Check out experience & out-the-door prices Best, Michael P Goodman, MD, FACOG, IF, AAACS Sacramento, CA, USA
Hello "Beautiful!" Is the discomfort coming from your minora or majora? From what I view I do not see a reason to mess with the majora, as most likely it is the bulk of the minora causing discomfort. If all you care about is making things smaller, any Ob-Gyn can do this, but do not expect results to necessarily be aesthetically pleasing. To assure a cosmetically pleasing result, and guard against mutilation, I suggest you visit either a P.S. trained in cosmetic LP, or a Cosmetic Gynecologist. From your anatomy, I think a curvilinear LP (aka "trim") would do the job, but in my opinion it is always better to work with a surgeon trained in both linear and wedge techniques, as this person is more likely to be able to work best with your individual anatomy, not "...trying to fit a square peg into a round hole..." Also, look for a surgeon who can work under "local" anesthesia, operating in their office rather than "asleep" in the hospital. Safer, easier recovery, and much less expensive... Very best, Michael P Goodman, MD, FACOG, IF, AAACS Sacramento, CA, USA
An "Anterior Repair" (aka "Anterior Colporrhaphy") will in no way improve vaginal tightness and for you would be an unnecessary operation. Having had no children you are most likely not a candidate for a surgical vaginal tightening, but may be one of the small number of persons who might benefit from a minimally invasive technique (RF or laser) or fat transfer. These temporary procedures however generally take 2-3 treatments & need to be repeated more or less annually. What will probably work best for you however would be "pelvic floor physical therapy" to improve muscle strength. Best, Michael P Goodman, MD, FACOG, IF, AAACS. Sacramento, CA, USA
Don't touch; don't look. If your HP wat performed correctly (there are several techniques) your sutures will not have torn from "sitting too heavily." Take care however to not put direct pressure on the surgical area by forcefully sitting with your legs widely apart for the first 3-4 weeks. Best, Michael P Goodman MD Sacramento, CA
Hello Habibi... While I would need a quality, in-focus photoset to give you a more in-detail opinion, YES, your situation can be helped. I see many women with issues of pain and fissuring. Treatment options depend on the individual situation. Often the issue is with neurogenic pain secondary to irritation of nerve endings, which can be well treated with topical neuroleptic medication, non-surgically. Sometimes a neuroma has formed, which might mandate a surgical approach. In your situation, with recurrent fissuring after work on the introitus and perineum, the issue frequently is recurrent tearing in the area of repair. The treatment is multi-focal, depending on the specific situation, and can involve several weeks of abstinence with perineal massage; administration of PRP to the area, and frequently a minor surgical procedure called a "reverse perineoplasty" along with administration of PRP (I prefer 2 administrations, one at the reverse PP; a second administration 4-6 weeks later...). Bottom line: YES, there is good treatment. The important thing is to consult with a cosmetic gynecologist with experience in treating your particular situation. While you may find someone "close to home," don't be afraid to "...travel" to find an experienced, competent practitioner who will carefully listen to you and who has the experience to offer you a choice of therapies. Many of us (myself included) are able to provide "virtual consultations" to evaluate your situation and offer you therapeutic choices. Do not despair: with proper treatment, you should recover 100%... Very Best, Michael P Goodman, MD, FACOG, IF, AAACS. Sacramento, CA, USA
