Hello, I am looking for treatment advice for TMJ pain caused by clenching at night on my left side, asymmetry, midline misalignment, wider smile, gummy smile(not seen in this picture) and possibly helping with posture. Ive been researching the DNA Appliance and the AGGA Appliance. Would you suggest either of these or something else? What are the differences between the two? Any other advice? Thank you.
I was recently diagnosed with canted occlusal plane as well as severe facial assymetry. Can the dna appliance solve this problem or do i need jaw surgery? My face is long and shapeless, no cheeks, long chin, hollow eyes, everything assimetryc. I would like to gain a more symetricsl, broader and normal face and smile.
I would like to correct it or at least improve this without surgery if possible. Is this suitable for me? How exactly does it work? Does this just bring the jaw forward when biting down or do the jaw muscles gain strength to hold the jaw forward at a resting position? Also, if the lower jaw is brought forward would orthodontics be needed to bring the teeth backwards to correct the bite? I also have some jaw asymmetery- is this something that could be addressed?
