I received 25 u. of Botox in my glabella region 3 mo ago. Ive gotten Botox in this area for ~4 years. In certain lighting Ive noticed a change in texture, and waves in this area. Its more noticeable once the botox is worn off. It's not noticeable in bright light, or when looking straight on - only when my face is lit from the side. Could this be from being under-treated, treated in the same area too often, or from being a side sleeper? Or is it just wrinkles reforming?
Im barely 23 but I have intense nasolabial folds, very deep and make my resting face quite jarring to look at. I suspect they might be this way from how intensely I grind my jaw back and forth when I sleep. Considering Botox for my tmj but will not do it if it makes my nasolabial folds deeper or more prominent.
I get glabellar lines after I wake up from my sleep. I was interested in knowing if this is due to my sleep position or if this is due to myself squinting in sleep? Can sleep position cause glabellar lines? Does botox help if it was due to sleep position?
I received Botox injections and fillers yesterday, and made sure I didnt lay down for at least 6 hours. I was a bit paranoid to sleep, because I usually will roll onto my face.I woke up with my face smooshed into my pillow, applying pressure on the injection spots. Im worried I messed up the filler, and now above my eyebrow where the Botox was injected is a dime size lump. Not sure if thats from inflammation, or because the pressure from sleeping on it.Its so hard for me to sleep on my back.
I have be using botox for a long time and never had a problem but i always stay up straight for more than 4 hours, Last night i had a botox procedure on my forehead and around my eyes, my doctor told me not to sleep for 3 hours, but after 2 hours i just fell asleep and I usually sleep on my sides, is this going to make a problem for my botox result? Im so worried
I think I read somewhere that Botox and Dysport may migrate within the first few hours of administration if you rub your face while its still settling in. I plan to get Botox in the early afternoon. Is it safe to sleep on my stomach or side that night? Or do I need to sleep on my back to be on the safe side? I was nervous that the pressure on my eye area or face could cause the Botox to migrate to unintended areas.
Dear doctors, after my botox around the eyes disaster, I am unable to close my eyes fully when I sleep. This causes my eyes to feel unrefreshed even after a good night's sleep. My eyes dry out when I wake up. I have seen a eye specialist and he says botox makes my lower eyelid droop, therefore I am unable to blink or close my eyes properly. I feel that my upper eyelid is unable to reach my lower eyelid when I close my eyes. The muscles are unable to tighten. Can I check will this go away?
Hi doc please dont tell me to get seen I want your opinion on this. So I had a bit of botox under my eyes and forehead so I couldnt really blink at all for months till it wearer off the only time my eyes shut were when I slept or forced myself to blink anyway my question is from not blinking much at all in months would that cause the meimobian glands to block? Because mine have and Ive never had dry eyes or eyes problems before please tell me what you think guys. Thanks a bunch.
Hi all, I'm looking at getting botox in my masseter muscles for 2 reasons: 1 - I grind my teeth a LOT. During my sleep, during the day, I always catch myself clenching & grinding my teeth. I wake up with a sore jaw sometimes & also get headaches from the tension. 2 - To slim my jaw, I have a very round face & want my face to look slimmer. The clinic I've contacted recommended that I would need 60 units per side, totaling 120 units in the 1 sitting. Is this too many? Thanks!
Botox first time jan 2018 for horizontal time in forehead. It helped with that line but created a very deep vertices line in forehead!!..Injector was reputable and recommended. Went back to fix spok eyebrows and was told the line was caused by how I sleep on my side. Doesn't make sense. I've been waiting for Botox to run out but line is still there. Please advise. I'm 48 in great health. I'm afraid to go back!
