There are many variables to take into account including; how much breast tissue you still have, the width of your chest and other anatomical measurements. Hi mariefl! Arm lift surgery can be performed with and without liposuction. This is patient dependent based on how much excess skin vs fat is present. The doctor you met with is correct in the fact that there is a fine line with how much swelling can be present after surgery as we do not want to stretch out the skin that previously had laxity. I would suggest getting another opinion from a board certified plastic surgeon to see if they agree with this recommendation with the goal of meeting your expectations. Best of luck!

Hello, Adventurous287575! Utilizing saline implants are going to provide a less natural appearance compared to silicone. Going under the muscle can help give a more natural result and not everyone gets an animation deformity if that is your concern. It is definitely a possibility to do saline above the muscle though. It also depends on what amount of breast tissue you are starting with and your anatomical features. Fat grafting is also an option but this is not a long-term solution. Hi amurillo04! First of all congratulations on your weight loss. You may be a good candidate for a breast lift without implants, however you may not have as much fullness at the top of your breasts. Implants would most likely add that fullness at the top with a more natural appearing slope to your breasts. I would recommend you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon near you that can assess you in person and review their recommendations as well as the benefits/risks of these procedures. Hi Luminous50146, I would recommend talking to your cardiologist regarding whether or not you would be cleared to have this elective procedure. Most board certified plastic surgeons would recommend obtaining cardiac clearance prior to scheduling a large and long elective surgery such as a tummy tuck. This procedure can be done to improve your comfort during exercise as well as intercourse. There are anatomical limitations and patient dependent factors to take into consideration. It is normal to still have some extra or loose skin after this procedure as there are limitations of how much skin and tissue can be removed. I would recommend consulting with either your previous surgeon or another board certified plastic surgeon to see if liposuction with a tightening device would be an option to help tighten excess skin. After reviewing your photos as well as your expectations, it looks like you would benefit from a breast augmentation and would most likely need a lift to help bring your areolas/nipples up to where they were previously. Hi rsampaio, It can take patients up to 12 months post operatively to fully heal and for the nerves to regenerate. Due to this healing timeline, some patients do not feel fully back to normal or like their breasts are their own until this time period. The back pain can be multifactorial and therefore is hard to pinpoint the cause, however it could have been related to your activity and arm restrictions following surgery and should hopefully improve. Breast discomfort around your menstrual cycle is common and patients can have increased sensitivity following the breast augmentation procedure as well due to increased nerve sensitivity and awareness. I would recommend seeing your surgeon as well to re-evaluate and get their opinion. Hope this helps!
