What is venous stasis dermatitis (stasis eczema, gravitational eczema, venous eczema) ?

Venous insufficiency can cause many symptoms in the legs including aching and pain in the legs, heaviness, tired legs, itching, burning, cramping and throbbing, restless legs and ankle and leg swelling.

Ankle and leg swelling are a hallmark of venous insufficiency. Swelling of the feet and toes are due to secondary lymphedema (acquired form).

Venous stasis dermatitis is a skin condition due to underlying venous stasis or pooling of venous blood.

Venous stasis dermatitis is also called gravitational eczema or gravitational dermatitis or venous eczema.

You can read my ebooks (2 books) about venous insufficiency and laser ablation for venous insufficiency for free on my website.

Endovenous ablation has no downtime and is a very safe procedure.
