What is stasis dermatitis or venous stasis eczema?

Venous stasis dermatitis looks like a rash and is classified as CEAP 4a in the CEAP classification of venous disease.

Other names for stasis dermatitis is gravitational eczema, stasis dermatitis, venous eczema ....

Swelling is classified as CEAP 3.

Spider veins are CEAP C1 and varicose veins are CEAP C2.

C4 disease is also classified as hyperpigmentation, which I see in the lower leg.

If you have stasis dermatitis, you need to be evaluated with venous Duplex scan and thereafter get treated for venous insufficiency with laser (EVLT) or radiofrequency (VNUS Closure) or mechanochemical techniques (ClariVein).
