Lymphatic System after a Plastic Surgery


All surgical procedure involves an aggression on the body, bleeding and disturbance into lymphatic networks. It is normal that after surgery the body responds with fluid retention until the lymphatic system is reconnected again. In plastic and aesthetic surgeries this may take 6-8 weeks depending the intervention. In reconstructive and/or oncological surgeries lymphatic system could be altered permanently.
