RHA® 4 isn’t really recommended for lips. It’s a thicker, firmer filler that’s better suited for areas like the cheeks or jawline where more structure and support are needed. Because the lips are soft and move a lot, using something too dense like RHA 4 can make them feel or look unnatural. Instead, RHA® 2 or RHA® 3 are much better options for lip filler—they’re designed to be more flexible and give a softer, more natural result that moves well with your expressions. If you're thinking about lip filler, it's best to stick with one of those and talk to your injector about what will work best for your look.

After reviewing with our cosmetic nurse, the following was discussed:
It’s generally recommended to wait at least one to two weeks after Exilis treatments before receiving Botox injections. Exilis uses radiofrequency and ultrasound energy to heat the skin and stimulate collagen production, which can cause temporary swelling or inflammation. If Botox is injected too soon after Exilis, there’s a risk that the heat and tissue changes could affect the way Botox settles, potentially leading to less precise results or unintended diffusion into nearby muscles. Most providers suggest waiting two weeks to ensure the skin has fully calmed and to allow for more accurate placement of the Botox. However, in some cases, a minimum of one week may be acceptable, depending on your provider’s assessment and the area treated. Always consult with your practitioner to determine the safest and most effective timing based on your individual treatment plan.

Hello, our nurse injector reviewed your case.
The change in your smile is likely due to the Botox spreading slightly to the risorius muscle, which helps pull the corners of the mouth outward when you smile. This should not be nerve damage, and it doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with the nerves or muscles themselves. Rather, Botox temporarily weakens muscle activity, and in this case, the product has likely diffused into a nearby facial muscle unintentionally.
This can sometimes happen when treating TMJ with Botox, especially when injections are near the masseter muscle, which is close to muscles involved in facial expression. The effect is temporary and should gradually wear off as the Botox loses potency over the next few weeks to months. Your natural smile should return as the risorius muscle regains its normal function.
If this happens again or if you're concerned about it, your provider may adjust the placement or dose of Botox in future treatments to avoid affecting nearby muscles.

Our cosmetic nurse reviewed your case and states treating sun-damaged skin involves a combination of prevention, at-home care, and professional treatments depending on the severity of the damage. The first and most important step is prevention—daily use of a broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher is essential, even on cloudy days. Wearing protective clothing, such as hats and sunglasses, and avoiding peak sun hours between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. can also help prevent further damage. For mild sun damage, including dullness, dryness, and uneven tone, at-home treatments can be very effective. Ingredients like retinoids or retinol promote cell turnover and help smooth texture and fade discoloration. Vitamin C serums can brighten the skin and repair oxidative stress, while niacinamide helps reduce redness and even out skin tone. Gentle exfoliants like AHAs (e.g., glycolic or lactic acid) remove dead skin cells and improve radiance, while BHAs (e.g., salicylic acid) are useful if you're acne-prone. Is it a requirement to use arnica pills before Juvederm lip fillers or even after?

Arnica is a homeopathic remedy that’s commonly taken before and after cosmetic procedures, such as Botox or dermal fillers, in hopes of minimizing inflammation and bruising. It comes in several forms, including oral tablets and topical gels or creams. While many people report benefits, scientific evidence supporting arnica’s effectiveness is limited, and it may not work the same for everyone. Additionally, oral arnica—especially in high doses—can interact with certain medications or cause side effects, so it’s important to check with your doctor if you have any underlying health conditions or are taking blood thinners. In general, arnica is optional and not medically necessary for injections. Instead, most healthcare providers recommend avoiding alcohol, aspirin, and NSAIDs for a day or two before your appointment and applying a cold compress afterward to help reduce swelling and bruising. However, the anatomical concern is the descent of malar volume and lost collagen is the reason this is occurring. Microneedling and lasers can aid in the appearance of these fine lines.

Yes, Botox would help you relax your lip, making the gums of your mouth less apparent. Botox will temporarily reduce the movement of the upper lip, making the upper lip relax and causing less exposure of your gums. It is placed in the upper lip as well as the sides of the nose, in the pyriform, if needed.

DAO Botox Pros and Cons - will this help the downturn in my lips? (Photos)

The downward turn in the mouth is a result of natural aging from decreased cheek volume, bone resorption and the DAO muscle pulling the corners of the mouth down over time. Optimally, Botox, fillers and laser can be used to treat the area. If fillers are unwanted, DAO Botox can be used to prevent the area from worsening. There is a risk that the DLI muscle, a muscle that is used to smile, can be injected because it is so close to the DAO muscle. However, if this happens, the other DLI muscle can be hit to make the smile appear more even. Increase jowling would potentially come from masseter Botox because if we slim the jaw, skin laxity can still persist. Overall, DAO Botox has significant benefits but you may need more intervention depending on how much correction you are looking to achieve.

It has been a positive, life-changing experience that surpassed my expectations
After suffering from chronic telogen effluvium for over five years, I finally decided it was time (actually way past time) to look into PRP treatments for hair loss. Anyone dealing with chronic hair loss understands how self-conscious, anxious and depressing one can feel when dealing with this affliction .
