Twenty four hours ago, I had Ng:Yag laser treatment only on the brown spots on my face (all over) and my skin looks HORRIBLE. I look like I have the measles, but the good news is that I'm not in pain or swollen. Am I going to be scarred? What can I do to make sure I don't scar? She only gave me a topical cream to apply twice a day. She is an MD and has been working with lasers for a long time - although she did burn my friend.
I had my first Yag laser treatment for broken capillaries 3 weeks ago, and the dermatological laser surgeon focused greatly on the ones beside my nostrils. Unfortunately, the area turned black/red, blistered, scabbed and now has left these craters in my nose. What can be done to rectify this and should I wait longer than 3 weeks post-op before trying to fix this?
Hi, I'm doing ND yag for freckles. I live in Asia and the dermatologist is only experienced in Asian skin type. Therefore ideal settings for my skin type seem to be a bit of a guessing game for her. The settings are too weak and then in the last session caused some bleeding/light scarring. Taking into account my skin type, what would a dermatologist experienced in this kind of treatment on my skin type, recommend as far as settings for the nd yag in the 532nm and 1064nm wavelengths. Thanks.
Hello, I've had a lot of pdl on my birthmark which covers half my forehead and eye. It seems to have made little difference. Is nd yag suitable? My dermatologist says no due to scarring, but research seems to indicate it can work on resistent PWS. The clearing in the middle has always been there.
I am trying to ascertain whether the burns I was left with after my most recent appointment last week are normal. The practitioner kept the laser at the same level strength as previous sessions but while I have experienced minor scabbing before, I have never had anything to this extent. I am now left with scarring that I don't feel will go without further treatment. What could possible causes be such as make-up, skin type changing etc? Please get in touch with your thoughts.
