I'm a 27 year old female that is beginning to experience more skin laxity than I'd like at my age. After getting masseter botox to address TMJ concerns, I've seen my face get thinner (which I like) but my skin appears to droop more than it used to, especially in the cheeks, undereyes, and jowls. I've developed a large midcheek crease and significant nasolabial folds. Some of this is genetic (my mom has folds) and only looks bad in certain lighting, but worse after botox.
Im entering my late 30s with luckily no wrinkles, but my inverted V shape in the middle of face is my concern. I have a crease (nasojugal groove/tear trough) which Id like to fix. Would thread lift be a good idea? It feels to me less complicating than fillers and more lasting (~ 18 months).
Looking into alternative to surgery as I had quadrilateral blephroplasty in 2007 which made things worse. I had too many complications and had to hide away for 2 years after (swelling, bruising, dry eyes, eye lids not closing while sleeping, weepy eyes, eye bags looked bigger after the surgery etc). My eyes are finally back to normal, but the small bags under my eyes still persist. Have tried fillers already, I dont like the tell tale 'tide' filler leave behind. Help please, anything?
Please help. I have genetics lines and have been self-conscious about smiling for the past 5 years and am only 30 years old and starting to lose hope that anything besides surgery can be done for the skin around my eyes? I have tried plasma pen twice with 8-9 months in between but it only helped for a tiny moment and I'm worried it might be causing my skin to thin cause dark circles have gotten worse with veins showing through skin. Is HIFU or a thread lift a good option? Or something else?
I'm particularly concerned about the area under my eyes and the bit of sagging on my upper eyelids. I like the shape of my lower face so far, I was thinking about thread lift to contour it a bit more (to bring out the vshape) and maybe cheekbone reduction. I'm open for suggestions and happy to read your answers. Thank you in advance :)
I've read two controversial opinions about PDO threads under the eyes: -the first one says that they cause lipolysis -and the second says they can restore volume to the tear trough area. Which one is true? I have slight hollowing under my eyes and I'm scared that PDO threads can cause fat reduction and make the hollowing deeper.
I had PDO Threads under each eye 6 days ago. The next day a lump appeared under my eye where the nurse had injected the cannula and inserted a thread. The other eye is fine. Please can anyone advise me what this is ? I have been back to the aesthetic nurse and she also had a lump under her eye after administering the exact same procedure on herself! Obviously I wish I had never had it done. It looks particularly bad in certain lights. I would greatly appreciate any advice. Thank you
I had dermal filler in my cheeks which migrated under my eyes last year which has been successfully treated but has left me with a little sagging under my eyes and wrinkles extending into my cheek from the looser skin. It's been suggested I go for a thread lift under my eyes which may improve both issues but I've seen mixed reviews on the internet about how successful it is in this area. I'm obviously wary of doing anything that may cause more damage! Any advice?
