Ive been back to PS twice for steroid shots under my chin because he said it might be some scar tissue. Last shot was 6 weeks ago. Shouldnt he know what is causing this and not be guessing? I feel like I look deformed. Is there a way to fix it? Ive seen tons of pics of people getting this procedure done and they are completely smooth under their chin just a few weeks after surgery. Im really getting concerned.
Procedure: High SMAS Facelift with Buccal Fat Removal and Submentoplasty 57-yr old female. From the Op Rpt: Incision on chin skin. Skin flaps elevated off plat muscle laterally. Fat removed by direct excision in neck and minimal subplat fat removed. Next plat edges up to level of hyoid with interrupted 3-0 PDS sutures. My PS has me going in for skin tightening treatments, but they are not working. Would appreciate input and ideas.
Dear Doctors, I had a SMAS face and neck lift with platysma tightening 6 months ago. 1 month after the surgery I wasnt satisfied but then things went better and 2 months later I was happy with the result. But then things started to getting worse and now Im disappointed and I fear in a short time I will be almost as in the pre-surgery condition. Do you think surgical technique was wrong? Is a touch-up necessary? If yes, is an invasive surgery like the first one needed? Thanks a lot in advance.
I had a SMAS & neck lift for turkey neck on November 5, 2014. One ear lobe is still numb with tingling up the outside of my ear at touch. Also, I still don't have a defined jaw line, still a little swollen from mid-jawline up to ear & I don't have a turkey neck now, but it looks like I have a double chin which I never had before. It still all feels swollen in that area. Not hugely swollen but not the smooth defined look I was expecting. I'm 65 yrs old. Is it the way I'm healing? Is it doctor's technique?
Had smas lift 6 mos ago. I still see pulled-up muscles "cords" under skin. One side since surgery--pic with scar. As swelling has decreased, they're now noticeable on BOTH sides, especially in certain light--curtain pic. Looks like pulled up "austrian shade" :) My PS says they'll "soften" over time. What caused this? I don't see similar smas pix on this site. Is this a smas lift gone bad? How long do you think "over time" is? Will it ever go away? I'm starting to get embarrassed :(( P
