I had septoplasty and turbinate reduction 10days ago. The Dr. put dissolvable splints in the exterior area of my nose and said it would take months for them to dissolve. The pain is awful - at the top of each one (see bumps circled), where my glasses rest on my nose, it feels like needles sticking through the skin. I returned for help and got anti-inflammatory meds. 2 days on that and it isnt better. What do you suggest?
for some reason, Ive developed two lumps on the bridge of my nose. They are on both sides and probably the reason why I've been having post nasal drip and a runny nose. I also find it hard to breathe from my right nostril. I think i may have a deviated septum. What do you guys think?. Ps: I'm also suffering from nasal polyps.
I recently had septoplasty to correct my deviated septum…My procedure was pretty extensive and my nose needed to be broken. I have noticed there are three bumps on the upper part of my nose near my eyes. One on the front and one on each side. It’s clear these are a result of my nose being broken. It’s been just a couple weeks…but since these are bone will they reduce in size? I also feel a weird sensation from them at times…
I am now into my 4th week following a revisional septorhinoplasty. Overall I am pleased with the results despite the fact that I have some uneven swelling & a couple of hard bumps which are slightly visible & feel like bone. How many more weeks need to pass so that I can have a good idea of the final result? I am hoping that the shape will not change too much and that once the swelling goes down that the hard bumps will not very overly visible. Thank you in advance for your reply.
I have what feels like a continuous lump running along both sides of my septum, near the bridge of my nose but nowehere near the incision. On the opposite side, the new obstruction is now worse than my original deviation. It feels like something was pushed up after Septoplasty and hasn't come down again. My nose was very tightly packed after surgery. I still get tingling, an itchy tip, and my nose aches sometimes so I can't wear glasses. I'm hoping all this just means it's healing nicely.
