Theres this aloe vera gel i want to get my hands on which helps with blackheads that have been driving me crazy since I got rhinoplasty but one of the few ingredients is arnica so im wondering if its safe to use on my nose or could it cause damage to my long term results. Im 4 months and a half post rhinoplasty. I have added pictures of the product and ingredients. Thank you for your help!
After a cold, I became obsessed with cleaning the inside of my nose. Two weeks ago my septum became sore and irritated. There is some puss and blood that sits on the side of my septum. My nose is very dry. I cannot get into an ENT for just over a month. I am worried that my septum has been permanently damaged and I will inevitably develop a hole. I keep it moisturized with nasal gel spray. Once there is damage (no hole yet), is it possible for the mucus membrane to heal? Can I help it heal?
Hi everyone, I was wondering if it would be okay to apply pure vitamin e oil to my nose 2 weeks post-op septorhinoplasty? I used it as a moisturizer for years before I had my surgery and would like to use it again as soon as possible. Thanks in advance!
I had a rhinoplasty about 2 weeks ago. The skin on tip and the sides of my nose are flaky and dry. I have used several moisturizers but nothing has helped so far. I have been washing my face with lukewarm water, gently with a wet washcloth but the tip of my nose is very sensitive. Any advice? I want to wear makeup, but everything seems to be clinging onto the dry skin patches on my nose, making everything look worse than it is.
I have fairly bad acne & I have several topicals I use like benzoyl peroxide and Differin (a powerful retinoid). In addition to this I have powerful acne washes and antioxidant moisturizers I use that have aloe and green tea extract in it. I'd like to know if there is a full list of precautions for things that can be used on your face and the nose in particular after rhinoplasty. What is going to be harmful to the healing process? Will anything compromise my results? Prolong swelling? Thanks
My nose just feels really dry all the time and I get crust everyday, specially in the morning when I wake up. I went to see my surgeon on Friday and he said the crust is normal and everyone gets crust and he told me i don't need treatment. I was using saline gels and saline spray and sometimes Vaseline but i stopped per suggestion of my surgeon. but now my nose feels even more dry than before with crusting. could this be an infection, or maybe just a rebound effect from stopping moisturizers?
I had Septorhinoplasty almost 5.5 weeks ago. After 4 weeks, I started using a moisturizer (called Garnier Long-lasting shine control). I applied too much I think tonite--there was a slight burning sensation on the bridge of my nose. I looked up the ingredients online--turns out there is a small amount of salicylic acid in it (NOT advertised on the box/container). Could this change the result, say by widening my narrowed bridge or causing the hump to return? Is it safe to use? Should I switch?
