Sona Exceeds my Expectations

I wanted to try CoolSculpting before I did anything more invasive, so I looked it up and saw that Sona Med Spa offered CoolSculpting and they had pretty good deals on it too. I made an appointment for a consultation to see which areas I could get and for what kind of prices. They answered all of my questions and listened to my concerns. I do have a hernia in my groin area so i was worried about not being able to get anything done on my abdomen. They said it should be ok but said that the nurse will do a more thorough check on everything on the day i come in for the procedure. I chose to start with my lower abdomen and then my love handles on my second appointment. I paid and made my first appointment to do my lower abdomen. My appointment came around and I went in to get my CoolSculpting on the first area I was concerned about which was my lower abdomen. The nurse came in to evaluate me and checked my stomach and poked around my belly button and the middle of my abdomen and told me that I have distasis (which I already had a feeling I had) and another hernia around my belly button. So, getting CoolSculpting on my lower abdomen was out. I was a little disappointed about not being able to do the area i was most concerned about. However, I’m glad they are so thorough in checking for this because I didn’t know I had a hernia by my belly button. So, since that was out, I got CoolSculpting on my love handles that day instead of my lower abdomen. I got before pictures taken of my body 360° around. They checked the sizing of the paddles for my body but she couldn’t fit the ones we initially chose so she called the nurse back in and they decided on a smaller one because I’m pretty small. They made marks for where i wanted the area more trim around my love handles. The procedure was easy and didn’t hurt what so ever. They made me comfortable and gave me a blanket and they have WiFi (which didn’t work for streaming a show I wanted to watch but I tethered my iPad to my phone and watched it). CoolSculpting didn’t hurt at all. It was cold and got a little uncomfortable because it was something different that my body isn’t used to, but it was really easy. After 35 minutes she came in and took off the machine and warmed the area with a towel and did a 2 minute massage on it. Again it was a little uncomfortable but didn’t hurt at all. Then I flipped over and did it again. It Would have been nice to do both areas at once, but I’m sure the machine is expensive, so they probably don’t have 2 of them. After that she warmed and massaged the area and I got dressed and went back into the office to decide what I was going to do in place of my lower abdomen. I chose the banana rolls (under your butt on your back upper legs). I might change my mind by the time my next appointment comes around if my love handles don’t contour where I wanted them to. But my 3rd spot I wanted it on was under my butt so I might just stick with that anyway. I wanted the bra fat by my armpits in front but that’s a different paddle and they said it’s like 2x the price so I won’t do that yet. Maybe if after a few months I see that CoolSculpting works really well then I’ll go back and get that area done. I don’t want to pay that much if it doesn’t exceed my expectations. I’d rather get Lipo there which I know will work.
I’m on my 4th day and have had NO discomfort at all in the area I got CoolSculpting done. I don’t have any bruising and it’s just barely numb or sore. I’m wearing my “Mothertucker” compression tank top. They advised I wear some kind of compression device for discomfort like spanx, but I think spanx are terrible and don’t work so I’m wearing the tank I got for after I had my babies.
All in all so far I am happy I chose CoolSculpting. I hope I see results that are noticeable to me, but time will tell. It’s only been a couple days so I haven’t really seen any difference. Somehow I did lose 2lbs after the procedure and it has stayed off. But I suspect it was maybe water weight. But not sure. (I’m also on a diet regimen so I can’t really tell why I lost that in one day).
