Profile update

Here is my most recent photo. Two years and three months out. Still ecstatic!

Scar pictures

Hypertrophic scar on bb. I think it wouldn't be so bad if it would just fade.

Twenty weeks

Can't believe it's been 5 months since my surgery. Haven't been on here in quite some time. Funny, how you move away from thinking about the tt all the time, as you get better. Now, it's just a part of me. I still feel a little pull if I over do it, but it's a good reminder to take care of myself. My bb scar is still not where I'd like to end up, but I'm getting there. Still slightly raised and pink. I still wear my silicone belt to bed every night and massage and use mederma during the day. Once it fades, I know it will be much less noticeable.
All in all, I am very pleased with my results. I am still very conscientious about my eating and still toy with the idea of a strict diet. I'd like to lose 15 pounds but have pretty much maintained my 20 lb weight loss since the surgery. I'm still learning to accept myself and thought this would be an instant cure. It's not, ladies. I just find fault with other areas but I really am trying to be more loving and gentler with myself. It's much more than a physical issue. It's a very emotionally charged process but I have come a long way, much more confident and aware. I think twice about " throwing in the towel", after all I've been thru. Be true to yourself, friends, to all past and future tummy Tucker's.

Dr Saunders is very nice , down to earth, and easy to talk to. I have seen great results from his other patients. Dr Saunders is very matter of fact and does nothing trendy or fancy. He doesn't try to sell extras and I believe he has this procedure down to a science. I was very nervous about getting the dreaded before pictures taken and the marking but he made it simple and pain free. He really respects the patients modesty. I just tugged up my shirt and pushed down my pants, not the stripping totally naked, that I feared. He answered all my questions and I feel quite comfortable with him. The surgery went well and so far, at a week postop, I love where he placed my scar. My belly button looks like it is gonna heal up quite nice. I am very pleased with the office staff, they are all really sweet. Wilmington hospital was awesome, as were the nursing staff that took care of me. Overall, this has been a wonderful experience.
