I waited 13 years to have a tummy tuck. I didn't...

I waited 13 years to have a tummy tuck. I didn't have loose or saggy skin. It was more muscle separation so when I exhaled I still looked 4 months pregnant. I went to Dr. Lucius Doucet at Williamson Cosmetic Center. I trusted WCC with other minor procedures like fillers and botox and was always pleased. I was told by the staff that Dr. Doucet was amazing and he would exceed my expectations. In January 2016 I scheduled surgery. Less than 2 weeks later I knew that something wasn't right. After watching multiple friends have the same surgery I recall being able to see a tremendous improvement almost immediately after their surgeries. I was told at my Post-Op visit to "give it time" and "Things need to settle." It was no surprise when at my next follow up appointment a month later no one had much to say when things hadn't changed or settled. I was primarily meeting with more staff than Dr. Doucet. Finally, I requested to see my Dr. and get some answers. It was then that Dr. Doucet told me that he did very little liposuction during my surgery. He said he prefers the patient to come back later (and pay for more surgery and be put under anesthesia) for that procedure. I also had what surgeons call "dog ears" (flaps of skin at the beginning and ending of the scar). I allowed him to attempt to make these better and be less visible. The same afternoon I had that procedure (that only marginally improved the dog-ears) I developed a hematoma. At my 3 month Post-Op appointment I was asked to be patient and give it a little longer. My scar was still right under my belly button and not hidden at all. In fact, it turned upwards instead of down like it should have. "Everyone's body is different." I was told. I understand this but my expectations were realistic and I KNEW this was turning out to just be a bad surgery. 6 months after my tummy tuck Williamson Cosmetic offered Cool Sculpting to try and improve my results. This was not going to help give me the "cinched, tight waist" that patients expect after a tummy tuck. I was also told that I gained weight after surgery and that is why my results were less than desirable.
I made an appointment with another surgeon who immediately recognized that this surgery was not done correctly and I would need a revision surgery. In October 2017, I had the revision surgery and aggressive liposuction and could not be happier! The pictures I have attached speak for themselves. I am so thankful for the new surgeon. He completely corrected my scar and lowered it and gave me a new belly button and waist. I have lost an outstanding amount of fat and inches in just 3 months. My new surgeon also restored my faith in plastic surgeons.

I am very unhappy with Dr. Doucet. He should not do any kind of body sculpting surgery. No one should have to endure a second major surgery and recovery to "fix" their body.
