So, all that's left to do is wait and keep reading all of the updated The only issue I am having really is with my 15 year old daughter. She doesn't want to talk about my TT. She has gotten a little better since her father explained to her that this isn't just for cosmetic reasons, but that because abdominal muscles support the back, separated or weakened muscles can lead to chronic back pain, which I have dealt with for a while. She has alot of body image issues and is sensitive about her extra weight. She is going to the gym and working on cardio 3 days a week, but does it kind of half know, slowest setting, lots of breaks, etc.

Any other advice from moms who have dealt with this would be most appreciated.
You have to do what makes you happy. Your daughter just needs to accept that. She'll get over it with time.

4 days and a wake up to go! We are so excited for my son's High School graduation this Saturday! This past week has been so busy! The AC froze had that repaired and the house is nice and cool again. I got all the loose ends at work tied up, got the bills paid ahead of time, got my meds, got the wedge system for the bed, and picked up a few things like...

Protein shakes
Arnica Montana
Arnica gel
Bendy Straws
Bed pads
Wife beaters
Boy shorts
Gauze pads
Surgical Paper tape
Baby wipes

I'm sure there is more stuff I'll need but that's a good start. Hubby is going to pick up all my "super foods" and low sodium stuff while I'm in surgery. It will give him something to do, because I don't want him hanging around half the day bored/worried. He is an exceptional chef and has already got alot of menus planned for!

I have been having random panic attacks though. I am so excited, but it seems like whenever I think of the risks involved...especially necrosis...I get really freaked out and my blood pressure goes through the roof. I am wondering if I should ask my PS for Valium or something for my nerves. I quit smoking almost a month ago and only had a very few cheater puffs early on.

All my bloodwork came back great, I go to the gym 6 days a week and have been for the last year, I have very healthy eating habits,, I am just praying that everything goes okay. I am really trying to focus on positive thoughts, but sometimes its tough!

Tomorrow is it! I am so nervous, excited, ready.....

Sorry for the delay...I have not been recovering well. The muscle repair was much more extensive than he thought. I had to change my prescription from hydrocodon to dilaudid to manage the pain. At my first day follow up, the nurse took off the binder and I almost passed out. I turned sheet white, started sweating and she promptly inverted me on the Felt better then. Still wearing the compression stocking because my trips out of bed have only been to the bathroom. Thank goodness I get a shower tomorrow. Ginger ale and protein drinks have been my best friends.
Hope you doing well and recovering quickly.

Hi ladies! Getting better slowly but surely. I was joking with my hubby and told him "I can't believe I paid someone to do this to me!" as I'm walking hunched over looking rather sexy in my binder, plaid boxer shorts and I stopped taking all narcotic meds and feel good about that. Hubby is picking up my shopping list so I can spend the afternoon making Uncle Juniors Sunday Gravy from the Sopranos. Yummo! Still taking it very easy.

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well. It has been a roller coaster for me. I am generally pretty happy with my results but a few things have me really stressed out. I have this crease in the center of my tummy right above my scar and it just ruins the look of everything I try on. My PS says it will probably go away. I do love my new belly is very cute, but its either really deep or my abs are really swollen around it. I just don't feel like I'm as flat as I should be, either. I am hoping that's just the "swell hell" everyone talks about, but tell me what you think. Happy healing!
Thanks so much. I posted the question to the Doctors as well, and they all seem to be in agreement that everything will be okay as well.
I think your results look great! Looks like you're a bit swollen which is to be expected so don't. Give it some time.
You've got some nice curves, Kay. I think it just takes time for everything to settle. I think once the swelling goes down you'll probably feel even better about your results. We all have to give it time.
