At 62 years of age my face was looking old, tired and even sad with deep jowls. I just did not like looking in the mirror and decided to do something.

I had visited Thailand once before for dental work and was impressed with the quality of care and hygiene. I visited four hospitals and got about the same information from the doctors with widely varying prices, $10,000, $6,000, $5,000 and $3,500 for a face lift and lower eyelids.

I chose the hospital with the $3,500, see above and the doctor recommended a neck lift at the same time for another $1,500 for a total of $5,000.

Instead of worrying about all the things that really go wrong, I worried that they would get me mixed up with another patient (has happened before) and I would end up getting a sex change operation and no facelift. Then I would be a 62 year old, Ladyboy (as they say in Thailand) with no facelift, a terrible thought, but didn't happen.

I was in the hospital three nights, they have one nurse to two patients. They fuss over you a little bit and the international coordinator and a head nurse were very avaliable.

The biggest problem was the wireless internet was out on the 10th floor. Someone came up twice for the IT department and got me connected thru my cell phone, which worked good enough.

The food was ok, you could get special requests and I got an in room massage, from the massage department for $4.

The only problem I had was after two weeks i found one staple in my hair that hadn't been removed at my one week follow up. I wasn't in Bangkok so I went to a local hospital and had it removed. That cost me $2.!

So now 4 months later I looked much better then I ever expected and am quite happy with the results. I still have a little swelling, which is going away slowly as they told me it would.

My girlfriend does not like the results as I look like a sexy young man and too attractive to other women.

Provider Review

Dr. Greechart Pornsinsirirak

I visited three hospitals in Thailand and spoke with the Doctors. A Thai friend recomended this hospital in Bangkok. The hospital was not fancy, but was clean, efficient, very well staffed and had what looked like the newest equipment. There were staff to help international patients who were very helpful. They have a large plastic surgery department. The doctor I picked had done 1,500 facelifts over years.ed I researched him on the internet and found he got high ratings for his sex change operations (which are much more complex).
