Double Mastectomy with Reconstruction - Vancouver, WA

Dr. Gabriel is my Plastic Surgeon who assisted with my Oncology Surgeon Dr. Storm-Dickerson during my double mastectomy. Dr. Gabriel began working on me as soon as Dr. Storm-Dickerson was done with her part of my surgery which is so nice not to have to wait so my total surgery time was 4 1/2 hours, start to finish. Dr. Gabriel used his newest technique on me. First off he injected Botox into my pec muscle which keeps the painful spasms from occurring for up to 3 months. This was a blessing! Dr. Gabriel also put my tissue expanders , which were completely covered with Alloderm, "over" the pec muscle using my existing breast skin which was a blessing that the pec muscle did not have to "stretch" or "spasm" and the tissue expanders were filled with air rather than saline so that the weight wouldn't have an affect on the healing process. EVERYTHING that was done for my surgery by Dr. Gabriel was "perfection" with minimal pain. My breasts were given a "lift" and my incision lines were "perfection". Within days I was off pain medication and was able to heal very comfortably. Visits to Dr. Gabriel's office were always so friendly, caring and the staff are wonderful!!! I've had my exchange surgery on Sept. 13th and that was a breeze. Everything that was done during my mastectomy surgery made me ready for implants and there was no pain and I was able to get my own food and move about as if nothing had been done to me (I still made sure to abide by the rules to heal properly). My next surgery is now scheduled for Oct. 25th which will be a fat transfer to use liposuction technique Tumescent "super wet". Fat will be taken from my stomach area, harvested and injected around my implants and any places that have divots. I know this surgery will also be nothing but "perfection" with pain control always top priority. Again, Dr. Gabriel and his assistant, Jami are the BEST!!!!
