Prior to the surgery, I had difficulty breathing. I didn't realize the extent of that difficulty until after I'd had the surgery and breathing was no longer a struggle. Had I known that would be a consequence, I might have had the surgery a long time ago. For me, the best part of the surgery is being able to breathe easily.

I was directed to Dr. Gelfant’s office by my family physician. I reviewed his qualifications online and compared them to the qualifications of other cosmetic surgeons. In my opinion, Dr. Gelfant was, hands-down, the best choice for me, and then I met him. During the initial consultation, Dr. Gelfant helped me decide on the type of surgery that would help me achieve my goal: abdominoplasty and liposuction. Since I knew in advance that I wanted to have the surgery, it was easy for me to move forward. Timing was an issue for me, and Dr. Gelfant was able to oblige me. We booked a date for surgery, and a few weeks later, the surgery was behind me and I was well on my way to recovery. Following surgery, one of the recovery nurses told me that an abdominoplasty is one of the most complicated cosmetic procedures, and that she was impressed with Dr. Gelfant’s work. As I recovered from the shock of a smaller me, I marvelled at the intricate work done by Dr. Gelfant, and I am amazed every day at the results. My family physician was impressed by the calibre of his work too. I may have a scar, but it’s a lovely one. Besides being a careful and skilled surgeon, Dr. Gelfant is a gentle, caring physician. His office and surgery are professional, yet stress-free. I am very happy with the results, and truly grateful for Dr. Gelfant’s accomplishments.
