One Month Before & After

Ok, it was one month today (Dec 3rd - Jan 3rd). I've made some before and after pictures for people to see. I can't believe the difference... and feel a tad guilty for being impatient aaaand for maybe being slightly emotional (props to my boyfriend for putting up with me... haha). If I have one piece of advice, it's do not worry about all those people that get crazy results in 2 days, be patient and give it 4-6 weeks!!!

** If anyone has any advice, what is up with the weird indent on the left picture (under the bra line). Will these types of things go away with time??

update on exercise: Started back at crossfit this week. I'm able to do everything except I still feel a bit uncomfortable with jumping rope and running so I modify but feeling MUCH better :). Still doing yoga, hiking, treadmill etc. At least an hour a day. Also went back to my precision nutrition book and am keeping the diet on check (great resource BTW, you can get it online).

Update on healing: I am very lumpy and bumpy, I am massaging everyday with bio-oil still. I hope it will heal. There are a couple visible lumps. My skin is also a bit loose and looks sorta funny if I'm bending over or moving in certain positions. I hope this tightens up.

I have been taking breaks (4-8 hours a day) with the compression garment but I do think it still helps, and when working out it makes me feel together. I've decided to keep wearing it at night. I think I'll continue this until I leave for vacation in 2 weeks (which will be the 6 week mark). I'm off to Africa - going on a safari and praying to be bikini ready! :)

This site has been so helpful - thanks again for all those who have shared their stories. I hope mine helps people too.

Happy New Year!

I wish you all a Happy New Year! Here's to a smokin' hot, but kickin' 2015!!!

New Pictures

Hi everyone - some new pictures, 19 days post-op. Starting to see more of a difference now (phew!). Not exactly the 'wow factor' I hoped for but at least I can see it progressing in the right direction. :)

I started massaging the bumpy parts about a week ago and have been applying bio-oil over my skin (can't hurt right?!) and on the incision scars especially.

I have still been doing the hill climb on the treadmill, weights and the occasional yoga class, and my physical limitations are less and less. My surgeon said your metabolism gets kicked up a notch as it's dealing with healing - so I've been really trying to leverage that opportunity to eat very health and workout (within reason given my healing). If nothing else, I feel great and like I am doing everything within my power to get the best results :)

I am still a bit tingly-feeling, my sides are a bit sore still but all of the topical bruising is gone. Overall feeling pretty good :)
