It's been almost two weeks and I can hardly believe that the surgery has come and gone. Part of me was expecting to be incapable of doing almost nothing for two weeks, but that has proved to be false. I would rather be doing nothing, but I am perfectly able to do a lot of things aside from exercising and standing for long periods of time. I have been able to carry my daughter around (although not all that comfortable), do laundry, get in and out of bed fairly easily, shower, cough and sneeze with hardly any pain. I have been off all pain meds for 4 days now and don't seem to need them anymore. I cannot tell you how thrilled I am with my results! I still have tape over my incisions, but what I have seen of the incision, it is perfectly matched up with out any "puffing" or "gathering" of the skin. It is healing beautifully. Also, the work he did was amazing! In addition to my extra skin, I used to have a mound which I assumed was caused by my separated stomach muscles. The skin and the mound is gone and my stomach is unbelievably flat. My breasts, well, they are perfect! I feel 17 again. My implants were placed on top of the muscle, unlike most. There wasn't a need for them to be anchored under the muscle because I am done having kids and the breast lift helped in anchoring them. I won't need to wait until the implant drops, because it is already in place. My recovery time has been cut down for that reason as well. I am able to achieve a more natural looking breast that will act as normal breast tissue would. (ie, when i lift weights they won't flex and when I lay down, they drift a bit to the side) If there was a tip I would pass along it would be to look for not only a certified surgeon but one that has an artistic view point as well. He offered suggestions and pointed me in the right direction for my optimal results. If you want referrals, ask your OB-GYN. Think about it, they see plenty of women that have had these types of procedures done. They will be able to steer you in the right direction, as did mine. Love, love, love my results & so glad I went ahead with these procedures. Highly recommend it if you are willing to pay a decent surgeon and do your homework!!!

I'm in disbelief that a week from today I will...

I'm in disbelief that a week from today I will be getting the mommy makeover I've anticipated for months, if not years! It all started with saggy tummy skin from four pregnancies. I was hoping that after I lost 30lbs. it would go back to semi-normal. Well, it didn't. But on the plus side, I am in the best shape of my life and skinnier than before I even had kids. I am 32 yrs. old, 5'7 and 143 lbs. and nursed all four of my kiddos. I decided to consult a PS about the issue and since I was in there I thought I might as well ask about my shrinking, saggy breasts. I figured since I was going "under" for the tummy, I might as well fix my twins...... So there you have it. Getting a full TT (with muscle repair & lipo of the flanks), a breast lift and a silicone breast augmentation. I started out really nervous. I had many sleepless nights. I am feeling pretty calm about everything now,,,,but I'm sure I won't feel that way the night or morning before the surgery. I have wonderful support from my family and I will have help for two+ weeks after the surgery. I am hoping that I heal well and quickly. I will definitely be coming to this website for support & questions, as I have already. For those of you that had the surgery, is that any advice you are willing to pass along for recovery? Any is welcome and much appreciated..... :)
