Figured I'd add a few new pics. Scars are still fairly thick and redder than I'd like, but they're beginning to lighten some so that's good. I'd do it all again in a heartbeat, it's the best thing I've ever done for myself besides losing the weight in the first place!

One Year B&A Comparison Pics

Just to show a side by side of my results :)

1 Year Update

So today is exactly one year since I had my tummy tuck. I am still soooo glad I did it, it has renewed my confidence and motivated me to stay healthy and active. I also had a breast augmentation in October (not huge, 325cc Mentor round mod+ textured) and all-in-all I have never felt better about my body! We are going to Jamaica in 11 days and for the first time ever I am not dreading wearing a bathing suit :)

I haven't lost much weight since my procedure, I was up a little more than normal when I had it done and I'm back down to my normal weight which is about 8-10 lbs less than surgery day, but I've been working out regularly and started lifting heavy weights which has definitely started changing the composition of my body.

As you can see in the pics, my scars are still pretty gnarly, although I think they look better IRL than in the pics. They are still red and raised, but I'm hopeful they will fade more with time. The PS who did my boobs recommended laser treatments but I'm not sure yet if I will try them. I asked if she could lower the scar at all as its higher than I'd like on my left hip but she said there isn't enough skin laxity to make that a very promising option. Kind of a bummer, but it is what it is and I am still very happy with my outcome! I am still quite numb between my belly button and scar, all the way across to my hips. It tingles when it gets rubbed so it's possible the nerves are still regenerating, I read it can take up to 2 years to recover sensation so we shall see. I have no other issues, no discomfort, my muscles still feel quite tight when I stretch which I like. Anyway, that's about all I have for an update, hope all you ladies are doing well and if anyone is considering having the procedure feel free to ask any questions! Happy Tuesday everyone!
