So... I'm 52, gappy, uneven and also crowded teeth. They're far from attractive! And now - yippee - I have some gum recession problems Partly through over zealous brushing and partly due to misalignment top and bottom putting pressure on teeth and gums. The gums won't grow back but it will help situ long term I'm told by ortho and gum specialist. I'm realistic - I'll never have a Hollywood smile but if I can smile with some confidence and not have people recoil in horror then - result!!

Picked up first of 26 trays yesterday, had 18 attachments mostly across front teeth and dental filing. Yikes! I felt I'd crash landed into the world of Invisalign! Trays are ok to wear which is just as well as - Good Grief - taking them out is not easy at all!! It's been taking 15-20 mins. I try not to panic! can't seem to get any leverage - broke a thumb nail really far down (call me shallow but that was a low point!). So have resorted to a crochet hook. It's not a pretty sight and the drooll .... Well need I say more !

Attachments don't hurt with trays on but noticed this morning that with trays out they're rubbing along the inside of my mouth like a goodun'. Eating porridge this morning really hurt....not to worry. I'm hopeful my mouth will harden up.

I can't decide if I'm better off taking the trays in/out more often for the practice or are they better left in?

Also sorry for the long posting- but what makes my trays noticeable are the tiny bubbles setting into top if bottom trays and bottom if top trays. Is that normal?

Will try and upload pics shortly.

Thank you for reading to the bottom of this!!
