4 week post op

Was given the all clear to lift weights and do an exercises :-), was also give scar tape for my incision. Still experiencing some swelling and tingling but only if I’m not compressed for too long. Was told I can compress 12-14 hrs a day vs all the time but I don’t think I will. Been dealing with lumps with self massage and I’m pretty happy so far

Back to work tomorrow!

Drove yesterday and did light shopping alone! What a relief! Running errands today and back to work tomorrow. It seemed impossible a few days ago but I’m ready (and bored). They weren’t kidding about the low downtime. Here’s my 5 day post op pics. Still feel very swollen and I have a sore spot that’s a little red on my left hip. Going to pay attention to it until my post op Saturday

4 days post op

Feeling so much better! Day one and two were rough, however, I haven’t needed any pain medicine since 11 PM on day two. Day 3 I got to ride around in the car most of the day with my husband and enjoy the sun. The seat in my car is the most comfortable place for me to sit. I was able to get something to eat and go for a little walk at a local park before I got worn out and had to go home . Day four was even better. I did lots of walking at a local national park and have been able to lay down a lot more comfortably. The compression garment has been very uncomfortable. I got a call from a nurse yesterday while I was out walking and she informed me I can wear a Cami under my garment to make it more comfortable, which it definitely does. I also added some Lipo foam to keep it from cutting into my sides, which is awesome more comfortable, but makes me look like a potato. I found a squishy spot that makes funny fart noises and the nurse told me that was a seroma, and wanted me to add extra compression to that spot to see if my body will absorb it until I come in for my postop Saturday. If it’s still there, the doctor will pull the fluid out with a needle. Yuck. I am still very swollen and very bruised and a little weirded out by my figure, but relieved I don’t have an apron anymore. Here is a pic from right before my first shower.
