4 Weeks PO Feeling great!

At 4 weeks I am 90 percent myself! I feel really good and my incision is healing nicely. Though I read many posts related to taking care of the incision PO, at this point I have done nothing as far as cremes, lotions or ointments and it looks good. I did not have a lot of bruising nor a lot of swelling.
The middle of my abdomen still feels 'odd', due to nerves regenerating. I am not exercising yet but will see PS in a week. I am still wearing the compression bandage but have taken it off periodically.
The cost financially as well as physically has all been worth it!!

Day 2 post op

The pictures are after a shower two days after surgery. Honestly, it has not sunk in yet that i get to have this new tummy!!! It feels like I’m looking at someone else.
So far i think it’s amazing !
I’m writing this Day 3 PO and feel good! I stopped the pain meds and just take Tylenol when needed. The challenge now is only being able to lay on my back ... my ass is so sore!!
I got in and out of bed myself today! slightly bent over when i walk.
I had a BM yesterday and gas has started. So that system is running???? I generally have issues with constipation so i have been eating prunes and taking magnesium which help a lot .
I’m having coffee today to see if the non stop headache is due to caffeine withdrawal.
I think when i eat today i will open the compression bandage to help digest... because I’m going through this operation/recovery in my 50’s there are some things to keep in mind , like the sensitivities to foods, time of night you eat, foods that cause lots of gas , ease of digestion.
Drains are still filling... as others have said they are a pain to deal with, and they are but i went into this with the mindset that these are to keep me safe... so I’m okay with them hanging around for awhile.

One day post op! 55year old, 3 pregnancies, first one destroyed my stomach, had a C section with him.

The wait for this surgery has been a long one!i had my surgery for a TT and lipo yesterday morning. Arrived 6:15 am to a local surgical center. Everyone was very kind.
Doctor Wright came in and explained more and answered my last minute questions. I never felt rushed with him. His bedside manor has always been wonderful. He took before pics and did some art work to my belly and flanks.
I was told everything went well. I was surprised at how good i felt too! All the drugs for sure... and my excitement!
I was home by 1:00 ish. Most of the day was in a recliner that i borrowed . A recliner is a must! I learned this from others on this site that went before me.
I took the chance and climbed two flights of stairs to get to my bed. That was a challenge but with my partners help i was able to get into bed!! Did a lot of waking up but i was happy to be comfy in bed.
During the night i started to feel very itchy.. not sure why.
This morning when i was getting out of bed (with help) i felt like my insides would fall out.
Pain level was higher today . My Doc checked in with me which was comforting.
Important to take nice deep breaths!!
