I was a 3 time loser. I had a very knowledgable and success eye doctor that started to do permanent make up. I thought who better to take care of my eyes, than him. Wrong! I had permanent eyeliner applied and followed the doctor's instructions and beyond. I even slept in laser eye goggles to make sure that nothing accidental touch my eyes during sleep, kept the tattoo very well lubricated, didn't wear makeup for about 2 weeks. Not one tiny bit stayed on my eyes. Doctor said he would do retouches until I was happy. Had to wait quite a while for "healing" time so not to damage my eyes, even though nothing had stuck. Went back in for round 2 again, nothing stuck. Again waited then tried for the 3rd time, still nothing stayed. Was hugely disappointed. Did I mention how painful this was? Thought something must be wrong with my skin if it just pushes out all of the pigment. (I do not have any real tattoos to compare too.) I read about some of the dangers that can happen like permanent scares etc. So I gave up.

A few years later I had a friend of a friend go to Aura of Beauty, Mychelle Tulk, RN in Tulsa, OK and she had great results. I thought I would try one last time. I was very skeptical that it would work. Mychelle went over many color, shading, thickness and arch choses. Far cry from the black, brown or blackish brown one- style suits all I had been given before. You get pain meds and eye ointment cream. I was so impressed by her that I went ahead and had my brows done while there. For my liner I ended up with a blackish brown shaded to a medium brown on my upper and a dark brown on my lower eye lids. I am a blonde and Mychelle did just the perfect coloring for me on my brows. Every bit of it stayed and it was not painful!

It has been about 8 years since I had this done. I am going back in to have my eyebrows touched up and get a little more of an arch. Once you have your eyebrows done, you get retouches for half price for life. My tops lids the brown has added off and my blackish has turned a bluish color. Michael will do a color correct on the blackish part and redo the brown. The bottom lash line has just faded a bit and will just be touched up. I am also going to go for a bolder and more dramatic look this time.

I can not tell you how much of a difference it makes in choosing the right person. Also how much I love having eyeliner and brows on everyday. I do not plan to ever go without either ever again.
