Had evaluation, LASIK scheduled
Went in to see Dr. Reinstein to be evaluated to see if I was a good candidate for LASIK. They tested the thickness of my cornea, took my glasses prescription and tested me on an eye chart with and without glasses, took pictures of each eye, and looked at the shape of my cornea. I'm a good candidate for LASIK, so yay! The risks of the procedure were explained and I was given an informational packet to take home with me. My LASIK procedure is scheduled for later this month, and I am looking forwards to being able to see clearly when I wake up in the morning!
I've lived with glasses/ contacts since grade...
I've lived with glasses/ contacts since grade school and I'm ready to not have to fumble around for my glasses when I get up in the morning. My contact prescription is + 7.5, so that gives you an idea of how bad my eyesight is. I'm a bit worried about the possible complications and the healing process. I was present when my dad had lasik, and he's been pleased with the results, but watching the procedure done has definitely made me nervous about being on the other end of the lasers.
