8 weeks

8 week update. I am pretty much back to normal - not wearing any cg or support garment at all - still puffy above my scar line and pubic area but it feels worse than it looks. I religiously put scar cream on once a day and re-apply the micropore tape - otherwise it crinkles and makes the skin crease too. I've got two pearls in my belly button to keep the shape Lol - and I've been using competed blister plasters as they are pretty invisible. I'll post some photos of the scars when I next replace the tape. Thrilled and delighted and it keeps getting better. My muscles are so taut that I have to really stretch out slowly in the morning and also if I have been sitting for a long time. It feels like I have a permanent corset on now - which is great.

4 weeks PO

4 weeks - yay. My PS agree to let me fly last weekend - just short haul but I had a lovely weekend with friends - I was a tad nervous about flying - not knowing what to expect and if I would swell up. I kept my binder on and was fine - I did loads of walking every day which I think really helped. I sat yesterday working on my computer and changed my binder for some reallytright knicker things up my boobs - whoah - what a mistake - I swelled up and was in agony for ages - had to go and lie down and leave my kids to their own devices. Not sure why this happened? - the sitting or the new binder but I have gone back to the hospital one. Still swollen a lot - especially the pubic area which I hate (see in the bikini pic) but I know it will go down eventually. Still thrilled with my new tummy - just wish I could buy new clothes and show it off but need to wait a few months I guess. So my nurse (UK) had never heard of people using tape on their scar????? Everyone on this forum seems to use it - what is your advice everyone? Does it work, make it flatter??? I'll use anything that helps. Do you use it on BB scar too? That the scar I;m most worried about because it's so obvious you've had a TT if that looks odd. I'll take a pic of that too - not sure I'm happy with it but not much I can do about it either?? Thanks again for sharing all your stories - it's made it a whole lot easier for me [RS bleep]

2weeks PO pics

Took dressings off to have a peek - still swollen but looking good - knickers just about cover up scar - guess I will have to buy bikini bottoms with more coverage. Note the pearl in my belly button to keep it wide lol ????

Very happy. Had Dr Khan at Transform in London - Only met him for my consultation - about 15 mins - thought I could get away with just some lipo but he took one look at me, grabbed my fat and pulled it down and said - no, you need a full TT with muscle repair. He wasn't wrong. A man of few words but clearly knows what he is doing in theatre. Great neat scar. Saw him pre op when he came to draw on me with his felt tip, briefly after my op - I next see him in July. If you want a surgeon who is going to chat with you for hours and give you lots of smoozing this he is not the guy. He's professional, no nonsense and I had a good feeling he would do a good job and he did for me - super happy.
