Pictures of before and after
I added some before and after pictures...only up to 2 weeks post op; I am very private about the fact that I had the surgery so I haven't taken many pictures of the healing process so this is all I have

I just wanted to start out by saying Dr Rival and his staff are amazing. It has been a year since my rhinoplasty surgery and I could not be more happy with the results.
Prior to the surgery I had two appointments with him to discuss options, the procedure itself and which route he would take if he operated on my nose. He also did imaging to give me an idea of what my nose could look like. I have thick skin and I brought pictures of celebrities who had nose jobs (which I wanted my new nose to look like) and Dr Rival was very honest with me, explaining that my skin may not get me the exact refinement that thinner skinned individuals could get, and he also discussed how the nose he would create for me would be individualized, not copied from a picture, as my new nose would have to fit my face and my features (Which is a good thing as I was also adamant that I still looked like myself after my surgery). I did not want it to look like I had a "nose job".
With this knowledge I was able to make the decision to go ahead and have the surgery with Dr Rival. I had the surgery in his private downtown clinic and felt very comfortable prior to and immediately after the surgery. My follow up appointments were arranged and his staff was so helpful as I am from a town rather far from the GTA and would have to arrange appointments around flights and trips to Toronto. I would call and let them know when I would be in town and they were very good at ensuring I was able to see him. A year later my nose is still a bit swollen in the tip, it was explained to me that it could take at least a year, sometimes two in someone with thick skin like myself, but it is beautiful! My side profile is exactly what I was looking for and from the front the narrowing of the bridge and the tip is just right.
I would recommend Dr Rival to anyone looking to have rhinoplasty. Be specific in what you are looking for and he and his team will work with you to get the best results!
