Wrong Choice of Surgeon - Toronto, ON

Family wedding. "Turkey"neck, saggy jawline. Visited 3 surgeons. Chose Dr Dupere as he was encouraging re results and pleasant. I had prior to surgery met with anaesthetist, who agreed on surgery without general, just by localized numbing. I awoke and was told I had screamed and begged for a aesthetic. I did not, but did feel awful and nauseous. I was given a bed for an hour or two, during which time I vomited. I said to my family"you know I think Zi have nerve damage, but the dr had left, I was released and by next morning my face was swollen hugely on left side. Under my left jaw it was a roll of swollen tissue, like a fat sausage. Next day I saw dr dupere. He reassured my daughter, who was visibly upset, that the swelling was temporary. I have photos that clearly show the left side massively dropping, my mouth especially at 45 degree angle. After all these years I still tape my left brow, it droops. Enough said. I am angry at the total disregard of this man. No follow up caring, all the nice suave manner had disappeared. Clearly didn't let me be seen for long on front of other prospective patients. I was ushered straight into his consulting room. This Dr lacked coon empathy, and not even a hint of good work ethics. He may indeed be talented at breast augmentation, according to reviews, but I wouldn't let him near my face. He is not accountable to me, has never called me. I acknowledge that mistakes happen, but the true character of a dr shows in his reaction to his mistakes.
