1 week post op

I felt great by one week :) i can get up, move around, and use my arms like normal. I went to my one week check up and apparently the itchy skin was a symptom from the antibiotics. As I suspected. I stopped taking them as directed by my doctor and it slowly started to go away. I still have a rash left over that's not itchy but it's not pleasant to look at. I hope it fades soon. Pretty much my normal self now, just waiting for the wounds to heal :)

4th + 5th post op

I feel like I'm stating the obvious, but I am feeling better and better everyday. My 4th and 5th day have been similar. I almost feel like my normal self again. The tightness is not that tight anymore. I can get up and do things without feeling too sore. Waking up is still the part in the day when I'm most sore. The worst part now is my skin, I feel like it's getting worse. It's red and blotchy and really itchy. Sorry to be graphic, but it does not feel good. I'm almost done my antibiotics. 2 and a half days left and I won't have to take them anymore. I'm hoping that my skin rashes are just a symptom from the meds I'm taking and once I'm off them, I will get back to normal. I'm going in for my checkup tomorrow, I'll ask my doctor about it. I hope everything goes well! And I can't wait to take a shower, that is what I'm looking forward to the most. Not being able to shower for this long feels so gross!

2nd + 3rd day post op

Both 2nd and 3rd day were pretty similar, just a lot of tightness and soreness. 2nd day is when my arms were the sorest, i couldn't lift them or move them. Now i have gain a lot of strength back in my arms, they are alright now. I'm getting better and better everyday. What im worried about now is that my skin is red and itchy. I'm wondering if im having a reaction to all the antibiotics im taking.
The worst is when you go to sleep and wake up because when you are waking up, that is when you feel the most sore, it's like a sumo wrestler has been sitting on you all night. but after a while of waking up, and your body adjusts to being awake, and the soreness decreases.
I stopped taking pain meds after the 2nd day because it's really not that bad. To be honest even the first day post-op the pain wasn't bad. I felt like the headache and the nausea was worst than the actual surgery. I was so scared about how my body would handle the pain, but it looks like i was worried for nothing, it's not that bad and im healing fine :)
